This is going to be a great Kdrama this year. I have watched many Scarlet Heart readaption from this famous chinese book. And Bu Bu Jing Xin the Series and Bu Bu Jing Xin The Movie: Time To Love, still holds a high rating in my views. If this one can succeed in getting the same feel to the original chinese version that would be really great.

I also hope they do not change many things and give them a happy ending atleast, like Gong: Jade Palace, where the main guy and girl gets each other in the end. Actors! & Actress? Joong Ki is definitely fitted in this role because he is a great actor. All the other flowerboys will do. And despite IU looking a bit like Cecilia she is really talented, so I really hope this Korean Version goes well like the others.

This looks really good! Saw the trailers, have to make time to watch, is it not a happy ending due to the time travel? Why not, we are in drama land, anything is possible right? Lol

No, in the original, it's not a happy ending for the fourth prince and the main girl. It was how the author, Tong Hua wrote it. And hopefully Drama Land do change the ending to a happy one. :)

The chinese version will remain the best to me too.
So far so good though. Love Love IU & Joon Ki, I think they really pulled off their characters well.

Love it, but not as much because if they are having the same ending as the original then it's not my cup of tea. I like all happy ever after theme. I do not have motivation and excitement to enjoy it because I don't want to cry a river if I get too attach to it. I wish they could change it to happily ever after, but I doubt it. But definitely enjoying it for the time being.

I heard IU got plenty of criticism for this role. Not sure why I think she does an OK job. I like her chemistry with the 4th prince. But I will always remember him as the guy who didn't get the girl in...my girl lol

I agree that IU is doing well. It's not exceptionally well, but not enough to receive the criticism of that level.

I couldn't decide who to ship, HS + 8th prince or HS + 4th prince, but now I'm almost certain that I've come to a decision which is HS + 4th prince. I like aggressive males more & after that forced kiss, I'm think I'm pretty much sold.

I first actually ship 10th and Hae soo. They're so adorable together but it just seems like he's more of a younger brother to her but now I'm shipping Hae Soo & 4th more. It just feels kind of wrong how 8th was married to her cousin. I guess it's just me lol i felt the same way with Kevin and Ruo Xi. lol

The criticism against IU is because of her zeze scandal... she wrote a song that subversively attacks all these middle-aged Ahjussis who form a large fan-base of the young girl-groups and singers like IU ... All these girls, including IU, are encouraged to use a Lolita image to increase their fame.... She has insulted these hypocritical powerful men.... so the K-netizens attacking her by the tens of thousands is actually an organized campaign to destroy her image.... It is also a well known fact, that politicians and other powerful people, sometimes use these K-netizens, actually pay them off, to spread rumors about anyone getting in their way!
You can read about it more on Ask a Korean website, among others.

She is actually very courageous and smart to tackle this issue and these hypocrites.
The show Scarlet Heart: Ryeo actually has a few scenes that subversively support IU and her song ... One example is the "Tree naming" scene between 4th prince So and Hae Soo when she went out to water the garden, and he tells her about a tree that was his only friend, he gave it a name.... that is the subject of Zeze's song, about a lonely boy who names a tree in his yard and it becomes his only friend.
There seems to be a lot going on behind the scenes.

This gonna come from a VERY, VERY BIAS point of view. I don't love it and dislike the Korean Version. I went in wanting the Korean version to be like the Chinese. But then I realize that they had to change the story line to fit into their history. I personally don't know enough of the Korean history but still giving out my opinion.

For me the most iconic line in the drama is "Without my permission, you're not allowed to die." In the Korean version I was waiting for it than at the end of episode 9 Prince So finally said it. I was disappointed. That line mean so much and bam they ruin it.

Here another thing that bugs me so much. Ma Tai'er Ruoxi went into the pass knowing all the outcome of each of the Princes. But Hae Soo went in not knowing nothing beside one Prince will kill all his brothers.

Korean version adds more Princes that are needed. But again they had to do it to fit into their history.

I went to read people comments on the drama talking about Prince So scar. HELLO!, that never happen in the Original. I think it will help a lot if the Korean version called the entire prince by their number instead of their name. I ain't gonna lied but at time I lost track of which brothers was which one. I personally feel that there wasn't much of a connection with Hae Soo and the rest of the Princes. And adding the Princess in wasn't making it any better. But I found it gross that they would want to marry their own sister. Like WTF! Yeah, someone gonna say just like when people use to marry their first cousin. Point taken and acknowledge. I'll be back to give more of my opinion.

The director clearly stated that it will be a very different version of Bu Bu Jing Xin, so we can not
expect to see the same storyline and theme. Although, I agree with you about the meaningful lines and expressions.

I understand that it will not be like the original. But to me I feel like this was a completely a rip-off from the original. Just like Jade Lock Heart/Palace.

I do like it so far. I would recommend the original. I feel like the original give you a bit more information about each characters. The Korean version pretty much took out most of all the important scenes and made into a drama. I hope that they don’t change the ending. But if they do I hope that they will kill off Prince So (don’t hate me for saying). I am not looking forward for a happy ending. If I want a happy ending than I would have liked Jade Lock Heart/Palace.

Comedy from the beginning was enjoyable.

This is what I have to say to NBC Universal , if you invest so much money into this drama you could at least let us (USA fan) watch it live too. I found out that people living in the LA area get to watch this live with English sub. Like WTF. Now we have to either be a premium member at DramaFever or go on a search hunt on other site. I will admit I already a DramaFever premium member.

Finally, after episode 11 we get to see Prince So and Hae Soo love. I hope they don't rush their love story.

No hates here because it is your opinion.
Plus, everyone has their own criticisms and thoughts on this drama, it's really...all due to preferences and tastes.
To me personally, I actually love this version alongside the original chinese versions. The only issue I have with the
drama is that the damn director decided to re-edit and release a much better version out there for the Koreans. International
fan subbers like DramaFever bought their unedited version- which doesn't include new scenes. So there is no original versions out there.
Knowing this just piss me off because there are like... 2 different versions out there!! Anyways, let's not compare the dramas
anymore and continue to watch the results. Oh and I hope they don't kill my handsome Joon Ki.:)
I hate dramas that always kill off their main characters. LMAO~:fighting3:

I've also been constantly bugging them to give it a different ending too,
or the same ending is totally fine as long as the main couples get each other.:icon12:

WHat!?~LA gets to watch it live? That's some news!~Although, I don't like to watch my dramas
on Dramafever because it's just too much of a hassle with all the ads and premium.
I usually watch on other sites that have upload the raw versions with subtitles and uploaded the uncut
versions of the dramas, for example the SBS director's cut of Moon Lover Ryeo is posted on where I watch my dramas.
Dramafever fans are missing a bunch of great scenes~big time.

In love with Phet Thakrit <3
There are two versions of it. The SBS one and the International one. ^^ I think I watched the international one and he kissed her two times when she pulled away. The SBS one is just one slow mo kiss.
