Zatoichi

Director
Takeshi KITANO
Cast
Beat Takeshi
Tadanobu ASANO
Michiyo OKUSU
Yui NATSUKAWA
Yuko DAIKE
Taka GUADALCANAL
Ittoku KISHIBE
Saburo ISHIKURA
Akira EMOT

It's a samarai film directed by Takeshi Kitano, starring Beat Takeshi. It deals with a blindswordsman who's trying to seek a solitude life but somehow gets himself involved in a confrontation with the Ginzo gang. I like this movie because of the man himself, Beat Takeshi. I thought he pulled this role really well. He was just plain cool when it came to the fights with the gang.

Ping Pong

Info : http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0328258/

Credited cast:
Yôsuke Kubozuka .... Peco
Arata .... Smile
Sam Lee .... China
Shido Nakamura .... Dragon
Koji Ookura .... Akuma
Naoto Takenaka .... Butterfly Joe
Mari Natsuki .... Obaba

The reason why I liked this movie was because of Yosuke Kubozuka. He played 'Peco' who has a friend name Smile. This movie is mainly about Ping Pong but it also deals with friendship and loyalty. Aside from that, it had a few good laughs and Sam Lee is also in this film. The ping pong matches are entertaining to watch.

Crying Out Love, in The Center of The World

Year: 2004
Director: Isao Yukisada
Producer: Minami Ichikawa, Kei Haruna
Writer: Shinobu Yaguichi, Junko Yaguich
Cast: Takao Osawa, Kou Shibasaki, Masami Nagasawa, Mirai Moriyama, Tsutomo Yamazaki, Kondo Yoshisawa

Why I liked this movie?

I liked the storyline. Very creative and sentimental. Plus the added twist at the end. If that's what you call it a twist. The love story between the two main characters is sad, especially when you know what will happen to one of them at the end.

My rating: 4/5

Be With You

Cast : Yuko Taeuchi, Shido Nakamura, Akashi Takei

Summary: Mio's death leaves husband Takumi and 6 year old son Yujki fending for themselves. Taku occasionally suffers fainting spells, is disorganized and fears that his health hindered Mio's happiness. Yuji overheard relatives speculate that his delivery comporomised her health, and he blames himself for her death. Mio left him a picture book in which she departs for "The Archive Stare" but re-appears during the rainy season the following year, and he eagerly awaits her return.

My input: I really like the feel of this movie. The storyline is original and it's different from your usualy romantic love story. There is a twist in the story and I'm a sucker for twists.

My rating : 4/5.

All well and good until she finds out that the school she'll be teaching at has its fair share of troublemakers and rabble-rousers. The ruffians at the school don't frighten her though for she has a secret of her own-she's a fourth generation crime syndicate member and next in line to head it up. She's gone straight and wants to be a teacher though, but she's one person in whose class you don't want to be caught fooling around!

Good Luck: like the determination of the character
Having achieved his life-long dream of being a pilot, Hajime is first officer on an international jetliner and is now working to become a captain. He can't seem to please Captain Kouda, who has become an exacting taskmaster since an air incident many years ago. What follows is a story of 21st century love, dreams, and passion.

Beautiful Life: inspirational n very optimistic even in bad circumstances

Friends: cuter romantic comedy w/ happy ending

What follows is a magical and romantic two days. Upon returning to their respective countries, Tomoko must return to her nine to five job and Ji Hoon must resume studying to join the family business rather than pursuing his dream of becoming a film director. But soon the two begin to email each other and rekindle their relationship despite the distance and obstacles between them. Marking the very first time in television history that a drama has been co-produced between Japan and South Korea, the story shows us that love has no borders.

Forbidden Love: it's like the the tittle said but portray in a sweet way
Michi, a 26 year old high school math teacher, tentatively accepts her boyfriend's proposal of marriage, uncertain of her love for him but feeling pressure from her father and society to do what is expected of her. What follows is a heart-wrenching story of forbidden love where Michi must face society's judgement for corrupting a minor, abandoning her fiance, and disappointing her parents and co-workers.

Kamisama Mou Sukoshi Dake (God, Please Give Me More Time): w/ Fukada n Takeshi, very sad but nice story of love too late

A touching love story about a girl Kano Masaki (Fukada) who contacted HIV after selling her body in order to earn money for the concert of a famous composer Ishikawa Keigo (Taneshiro). After the concert, Keigo saw Masaki chasing after his van. She was drenched, and thus Keigo took her to his apartment, where they spent the night.

Seri wonders if her passion and skill will be enough to succeed.

Strawberry on Shortcake: nice n unexpect happy ending

Pride: fun

Shinobi is pretty good. My rating would be 3/5 because it had some flaws. I wish there was another side story to it. For example, based on the game. It would be interesting to watch.
