The 3rd Annual Mr. Hmong / Nraug Hmoob Competition will be held on Saturday 17th, 2011 at 6pm in Fresno State’s Satellite Student Union by the Hmong Student Association of Fresno (HmSA). All contestants will go through our tux round, talent round, and question round before one of them will be crowned this year’s Mr. Hmong / Nraug Hmoob. There will be appearances from our two previous Mr. Hmongs / Nraug Hmoob – John Lao and Xeng Xai Xiong as well as a performance from this year’s Hmong Idol winner Julie Vang. Hip-pop groups Rhythmatic and Juliettes will be preforming their newest routines along with a traditional dance by Nkauj Hmoob Txuj Ci. The local Hmong Acting Club (HAC) will also showcase their talents by putting on a short skit to entertain the audiences.
Our Audiences will also have the chance to choose the winner for this year’s Mr. Photogenic. All 10 contestants will have their pictures displayed in the lobby for audiences to vote on. The contestant with the most votes will take home the title of Mr. Photogenice 2011-2012. And one of our contestants will also take home our Mr. Personality title. Our audiences will also have a chance to win amazing prizes that were provided by our various sponsors!
Tickets are on sale now for only $7. Prices will got up on Saturday the 17th - the date of the event to $10 each. Our audiences can get tickets at the door for only $9 if they present a flyer at the time of purchase.
