Prize Ideas?

Hi Everyone,

My department is having a team building game and I was put in charge for prizes. There will be first, second, and last place prizes. We currently have something funny in store for the team that is last place, however, I'm having trouble coming up with prize ideas for 1st and 2nd place winners. Our committee decided to give four of the same prizes to the first place winners and a different type of prize for the second place winners. So that would be a total of 8 prizes. At first, I was thinking practical reusable items like a reusable water bottle, coffee mug, lunch bag, etc. However, we want to keep our budget around $50-$70 and to try to think of something that maybe funny. Does anyone have a gift idea that would be funny that they could suggest?

Thanks

You can get lunch bags really cheap at Burlington, Ross, and even one online that can be personalized with initials. There are little bags you can get for under 4 bucks at Ross too. Tons of gag gifts as well. If you have White Elephant or some small boutique around your area, you can get some cool stuff there.

My cheap gifts ideas:

- anti-stress ball,
- music box
- mouse pad with wrist rest
- photo frame
- small calendar-book (e.g. 365 ideas of/for motivations, funny jokes etc..)

thank goodness you're not in charge of getting me prizes! lol jk.

anyways, my response might be too late, but oh well.

so i'm not sure what kind of team building this is...for school, meeting/work (and what kind of work), but my suggestion for prizes would be:

1. $10 starbucks gift card
2. $5 starbucks gift card
3. $3 scratcher/lotto tickets
4. $2 scratcher/lotto tickets
5. $1 scratcher/lotto tickets
6. Chocolate Candy Bar/small box of candy
7. An award certificate and a piece of candy
8. A hug, and a card that says "I think you owe me a prize now"

All under $20!

If you really want to bump up the prize factor, you could do:

1. $20 gift card to wherever
2. $10 gift card to wherever
3. $5 gift card to wherever
4. $3 scratcher/lotto tickets
5. $2 scratcher/lotto tickets
6. $1 scratcher/lotto tickets
7. Chocolate Candy Bar/small box of candy
8. A hug, and a card that says "I think you owe me a prize now"

All still under $50!
