[CSTV] Bride of the Century

I think I have found another kdrama addiction other than Emergency Couple.

This has a lakorn feel to it lol and at first I couldnt recognize Hong Ki. His acting has improved so much after Youre Beautiful.

Give this a shot. Episode 1 isnt great but by episode 2, it hooks you right in. Gonna go dl episode 3.

I'm loving it already.

is it me or the actress is overacting? i find her prettier and younger with long hair. the insult is too hilarious i cant take them seriously. when kj say fake yk have a body of an elementary schooler. she has a bigger face than hong ki too. i find that they lack chemistry but the storyline is what holds me so dear to this drama.

did anyone notice how red hongki's ear is when he pulled her in for a kiss? when they filmed at scene he must have been nervous and very shy.

i wonder what the real yk and her mother are plotting. and i dont understand why the ghost is making fake yi and kj to have things happen to her. and it will be interestung to find out why. does the ghost want kj to fall in love then kill the girl afterward?

oh about the brother i find it icky if he does grow feelings for fake yk. thats gross even though they are not related.

I actually think that their is two things that can happen. I think that the ghost wants a sincere soul, I cant explain it. Like hongki and yk does fall madly in love and then she comes to break them apart and kill fake yk like shes done in the past. OR She has it with the curse and wants to break it. Her only choice is to bring an innocent soul into Hongki's life and make them fall in love since the real yk seems to lack love. LOL if I make any sense at all hahaha.
 
I'm thinking yk and her mother thinks the curse is real and when Hong Ki marries the fake YK the ghost will come and kill fake yk. and then real yk can come back but to their surprise the ghost doesnt kill fake yk. THAT's what I'm thinking is going to happen because yk mother wants to move the marriage. 
 
I actually like it that Hongki is falling in love with the fake yk then the real one. IDk hahaha

Okay so I'm also confused their is TWO ghost right? A ghost who wants to help and a ghost who doesn't. Because there is one who wear black an the other wears white. Or am I wrong?

I have no idea either. I really want to know more about the curse and the backstory. 
 
My assumption so far after watching episode 1-4. Yi Kyung and her mother I think are testing the water. If Doo Rim does not die on the wedding night, they will eventually swap back and Yi Kyung resumes being the wife. If Doo Rim dies on the wedding night, I think they haven't gotten that far into their plan haha. They didn't think of the consequences of the possibility of Doo Rim and Kang Joo falling in love. 

Well hahaha watching ep5&6 without subs are confusing. I have no idea what is going on anymore. I know that Kang Joo and Doo Rim may be in love already they just havent admit it. hahaha but Kang Joo knows the ghost? 

I love how Kang Joo is slowly falling in love with Doo Rim. His interest in her is very intriguing and fun to watch. 
 
I really want to watch episode 5 and 6 but I need English subtitles. I tried with Emergency Couple with 2 of the episode but soon realize the subtitles are released within 8-12 hours it has aired. But I wonder why this is being released later on a Monday. Dramafever subs both of them, I think it is so unfair lol
 
Well I guess I will go finish up Cubic episode 2 and Superman is Back. If you want to kill time, I highly recommend SIB. It is a reality/variety shows about 4 celebrity dads who takes care of their child[ren] while the moms are out 48 hours. All the kids are a delight to watch. My favorite is the two girls, Haru and Choovey just because I have plenty of young male cousins and nephews and have always been jealous of those who has nieces and young female cousins. 

omo omo!!! episode 5&6!!! omo omo!!! yup!!! that was my reaction the whole entire two episode.

this drama is no joke, it is addictive crack!!!

i dont even know or have a clue to what the writer have in store. 10 more episode to go and i wonder how they are going to fill 10 hours to end tgis drama.

i watch this becuase of Hong Ki hahahah
the plot of this drama quite general, but really touching
i didn't expect hong ki can act a cool man. Becuase he is quite cute actually LOL
but so far in the drama they did a great job.

I recognize that the girl supporting role suddenly being good in the middle of the drama.
i mean the girl who love hong ki (forgot about the name).
She even help Doo Rim to explain the sitution to Kang Joo hahaha, nice job~

I haven't seen episode 11&12 yet. I was expecting Roo Mi to be the villain but turns out it is YK and her mother. 
 
The plot is definitely generic but what hold it so endearing to me is how everything is played out. There's no dull moment. 

I think the Korean has been watching way too many Thai lakorn themed past life but with its Korean flare and may I say makes much much more sense and has a better flow of events LOL
 
OMG OMG! I finally watched the recent 2 episodes and just OMG. Now I wonder what the last two episode has in store. I am amazed at this show that I am speechless. This reminds me so much of Queen In Hyun's man... the amazingly writing hijinks. 
 
I have so much to say but it's going to take a while for me to fully write about the whole YK and DR existence. YK is DR's shadow. DR (past life) saves the first born son of the first death of the Taeyang's Group's daughter-in-law (who is the present day ghost), and DR happens to be YK's mom in the form of the past life her mom as well. Okay this is totally confusing to write haha Anyways I think the ghost didn't harm DR because she was the one who saved her son and of course it wouldn't make sense seems like past DR was unaware of her mother's plot to kill the D-in-L of Taeyang's Group, therefore we have YK as the shadow and it makes sense that YK is dead because she never did existed, she was the shadow of DR, YK's mom's punishment. Okay you know what I think I will have to stop at here, I have no idea what I am typing.
 
I love RM. I am glad RM and DR became friends. 

Lol I thought bride of the century has 20 episodes?

It ends at 16. I don't think they can extend it any longer. If it does end at 20, it will be a drag. There's not much they can add to make 4 more episode.

I normally wait until the English sub gets released on Monday but I decided to watch the raw version with recaps. I know dramafever release it 12-16 hours later after it finish airing in Korea to its paid members but since I am not a paid member I decide to take a go at it anyway.
 
What a pleasant surprise, YK is not dead. That was a pretty shocking revelation but I guess it would be awkward for DR and KJ to live their happily ever after if YK did really die. I am use to it in lakorns but I don't think Kdrama regular watchers would find it uncomfortable. 
 
AND OMG DR IS PREGGO!!! WOW!!!

what a bummer. the two year time jump was wtf. i gueds its telling us that time will heal and things will go back to normal.
