[MBC] A New Leaf

`my dragon's blood is blue`
I keep thinking dramas that feature political, or law type of genres would be boring but I always find myself hooked on them when I actually watch them. This show is awesome so far! The content isn't boring at all. It may seem like a draggy kind of show, but to me it keeps me watching. I initially gave this a chance because of Park Min Young & Jin Yi Han.... speaking of which, JYH is super shhhmexii! Gosh, his voice is to die for! Fell hard as a fan when I first saw him in Empress Ki. Too bad his role is pretty minor at the moment. Hopefully he gets more scenes. PMY is gorgeous as usual. Love her charm and wit in this show. She's such a classy feminin addition to this male dominant drama. Can't wait for more!

p.s. Can't believe this show is underrated...

There is too much competition. I am not referring to the timeslot since this is doing fairly well in Korea. It is second to You're Surrounded which will be difficult to beat. Lee Seung Gi is a rating monster and YS is fully a star studd castings. But if speaking internationally, the competition is fierce. Hotel King (My Girl fans), Angel Eyes (Big Bang VIP), Triangle (Lee Bum Soo, Jaejoong & Siwan from ZEA), Gapdong (Lee Joon), Dr. Stranger (Bora, Kang Sora, and the two leads) and on top of that they are have killer plots. So competition is very competitive. Do you know how fast the subs are going for Hotel King and Angel Eyes? Super duper fast, thats the perks of having famous idol actors.

It's crazy how these shows are happening all at once. I am looking forward to watching all of the shows mentioned above. At least by the time I get to them, they'll be close to completed. ^-^

It's crazy. I have seen basically all the Kdrama this year first episode. Literally... well from the 3 main channels SBS, KBS and MBC and a few picks from cable channels. I had to prioritize a list of which I will watch first. A New Leaf has been pushed down on my list. I will definitely review it again and give it another go since you are enjoying it. I think I need to re-prioritize my list since most of them has become extremely depressing and sad. For me when it gets to angsty, I tend to stop watching and find something else until more episode comes out and that is how I fall behind LOL

I too, stop watching when a show takes a turn for depression. There are enough melodramatic lakorns right now, I don't need to watch melo kdrama too. A New Leaf isn't melo at all. It's more of a mystery genre because even though the courthouse stuff seems boring, it's not. The cases makes me want to find out how the lawyers will defend their clients. It's also a plus that PMY & KMM has little moments when they're subtlely flirting. It's only at 8 eps. I think it still has a lot more to offer.

I will be starting Angel Eyes tonight. ^____^ * moves to AE thread... tehehe

Aw, only one episode? I was hoping to go home and watch episodes 9 and 10 today. I'm enjoying this show, too. I always love watching brilliant minds at work, but I was a little iffy about their tactics in the beginning. It's one thing to defend your clients but another to manipulate and fabricate evidence and actively participate in bribing witnesses. As a lawyer, you could get disbarred for that (at least in America). I'd be more impressed if they won by following the law (or even manipulating it to their advantage) instead of breaking it, but once KMM got his amnesia, things picked up.

Kim Seok Joo is definitely a better person now. I don't quite understand some of the terminology but I still like the whole thing. The characters are great. i was hoping there would be a loveline between the 2 leads by now, but it's a hopeless wish I think.

This show was cut to 16 episodes.
I haven't watched the ending yet. And I'm not sure I want to because everyone says it was a wasteful rushed ending. The plot was sort of bland and nothing but Court Cases. No loveline.... no friendline... no nothingline.

I wanted Jin Yi Han but he barely has any scenes.... =/
Hopefully my handsome oppa can appear in a better show.

I thought the ending was horrible. Not horrible in the sense that it ended badly, but horrible in the sense that I didn't get any closure. On anything. It just ended and nothing was resolved or moved forward or explained. Sooooo disappointed.
