Your Top 7 Voices of Thailand

p.smilez

sarNie OldFart
I grew up listening to Dome, Mos, D2B, BuaChompoo Ford and Sornram and I thought they were the only ones who had the best voices (singing voice) in Thailand. However throughout the years, more and more talented singers are entering the entertainment and my list then has changed over time. This was a pretty hard decision to make considering that they all do have beautiful voices. Sniff*sniff Who are your Top 7 Voices of Thailand? 7 men and 7 women. List them below :)

Men

Hard, hard decision.....

1.Dome Pakorn Lum
Dome was an artist who I was able to hear his voice mature overtime lol Whoaa oh whoaaa, his voice bloomed! lol I remember when he still sounded like a little boy who hasn't hit puberty yet when listening to his fruity songs back then hehe I will forever always be in love with his voice whether he sings soft rock, ballad, pop etc.He never fails to impress me with his osts too. Dome remains at the Top of my list.

2. Weir
I'm a sucker for a man who has a husky voice when he sings. I can never get tired of his song "Bor Hoo Pen Yung," with Alexandria. Matter of fact, I have that song dl in my phone and I blast it all the time whenever I'm doing my daily chores/cooking. Every time my father hears me listening to that song, he thinks I miss someone........from Thailand since he knows I chawp poochai khon Thai jak prathet Thai 5555 Loveeeee

3. Bank (CLASH)
Imo, Bank has one of the strongest voices. He almost puts you in a trance when he sings. I'll have to also say that he has a unique tone to his voice. You know, them "goosebumps" you get when you hear someone sing and you know they're beyond good, that's how I feel when I listen to his music.

4.Toomtam The Star 7
Tam's voice stood out the most when I first heard The Star 7 all sing. Even in the mv, his part came out the best because of his voice. I don't know why he brings a smile to my face every time his part comes on haha Tam shines whenever he sings and perform on stage which makes him that much extra special. Just like P'Bank, they both have this unique tone to their voices that make you get goosebumps. Love his never ending charisma.

5. Mos Pattiparn
I honestly cannot imagine myself without P'Mos's music. In 2011, I got the chance to attend one of his concert when he came to the US and yes, I even shed some tears while I sang along with him. Growing up listening to him and getting to sing along with him was such a heartfelt moment. 5555 I enjoy his beautiful sweet voice even more in person :) This guy can definitely perform live and he's such an amazing and energetic entertainer. Obviously because he has been in the industry over a decade now. lol

6. Chin Chinawut
I cannot forget about this guy. His voice was a "love at first hear." I remember asking "Who's singing?"Singer, dancer, now actor. I love how talented he is <3

7. Film Rattapoom
He's been one of my praeks since middle school. Just like Mos, he sounds even better live. I had a fun and amazing experience at his concert. I even got a hug from him.

I want to add Dan too haha aweee man can we have 8? This is too hard cause I go way back with Dan ahahahaha omg sighs decisions

Women

1. Da Endorphine
P'Da has one of the most powerful voices I've heard among the bunch. Whenever I listen to any of her songs, her voice pierces right through my heart lol And then emotions start reeling in which is why Parn is my second pick

2. Parn Thanaporn
The messages she sends through her music is just as beautiful as her voice. The raw emotions I get from listening to her music always makes me think a lot..ya know. We women go through a lot hahaha

3. Panadda Ruangwut
When I hear these women sing, ^^^ they just hit the spot. Her reason for being my third pick is the same as the other two. If they all could just be my #1(s), that would be wonderful hehhe

4. BuaChompoo Ford
I grew up listening to her swweeet oh sweeet melodic singing voice. No matter how sad the song is, her cheerful vocals makes me smile because it's soothing to the core. Her voice is just as sweet as her features :) Loveee Bua. (btw. Bua and Ann Thittima has simliar voices but you're able to distinguish between the two.^^)

5.Punch Worakarn
She has been one of my favorites for the longest. I'm glad she's now an actress because I enjoy watching her in lakorns.

6. Palmy
Palmy's voice gives me the good goosebumps! In 09' I came upon her version of Glua and fell deeply in love with her voice/music and ever since then, I've been following her music.

7. Knom Jean
She is one of the best and strongest artist/singers in her generation. Each year, I always look forward to her singles because majority of the time, I love it. Her music to me targets young teens who are going through a rough patch in their relationships and I'm sure the older gen. are able to relate to her music lol

I wish I could add the singer from the band Klear too lol

My top seven guys would have to be:
1. Bie Sukrit Wisetkaew- Honestly, the best quality I like of him is his hard-work. His voice when from "ew" to "wow". Throughout the years, I learned that "Bie accepts work that other daras declined, and everything that he accepted and released became successful, specifically songs". I can't remember what talk show it was but Nok Sinjai was said that, "Bie started at zero and worked his way up; he works very hard and his achievements are proof that he has come very far." I have a lot of respect for P'Bie and would one day like to meet him; it would be an honor to meet this superstar and until today, it has always been my dream. I've followed all of Bie's works, from his music to lakorn projects and even talk show events, and I can honestly say, he has definitely progressed and continues to do so. Recently, I've slacked due to workloads but Bie remains in my heart and always will. I love how he puts in significant amount of effort into everything he does. I love everything about him.
2. Bird Thongchai McIntyre- I grew up listening to P'Bird and back then, I had no clue who he was. He was famous before I was even born and it wasn't until I was in grade school that I acquired more knowledge of him. One of my aunts was and still is a HUGE fan of P'Bird. We have some of his albums, replayed his lakorn, "Koo Gam" a few times, and used to have lots of fun singing along with him while watching his concert VCDs. It was when I was older that I had to do more research of him on my own, and thanks to the web, I am able to gain access to all of P'Bird's works, the ones that were released way before I was born and into my early toddler years. Like P'Bie, I love everything about P'Bird.
3. Gun Napat Injaieua and Toomtaam Yutthana Peuangklarng- are tied for 3rd place in my heart. In my opinion, both nongs have similar voices... extremely beautiful especially when singing ballads and looktoong. In these two areas of music, both nongs put lots of power, strength, and emotions into their singing, and both times when I watched nongs' performance during looktoong week, I honestly teared up both times. Never had I seen such a beautiful voice from two handsome guys that don't even have to try hard to sing a hard genre. This is another thing I like about these two, they don't try hard at all when singing ballads and looktoong; it just comes naturally as if it were a gift from the heavens.
4. Aof Pongsak Rattanapong- This guy has an amazing voice! Good gosh, if I were to crown a male singer in Thailand the king of ballads, it would be Aof Pongsak. He kills me with his soothing but powerful voice and I can't help but tremble sometimes when watching his live performances. His voice is made for ballads, where he puts in LOTS of emotion to express his inner feelings.
5. Cee Siwat Chotchaicharin- To this day, I still don't understand why Cee hasn't signed a contract with a record label company because having that beautiful voice and not putting it to good use is such a waste. I never, NEVER knew Cee had such a great voice until I searched for "Pleng Din Klin Dao" OST. While watching that lakorn, I never knew he ACTUALLY sang! That's when I fell in love with him. I fell in love with Cee by listening to his beautiful voice.
6. Wichean Tantipimolpun- I bet lots of you don't know this guy. I learned of him while watching "Oum Rak". Remember one of the songs from that lakorn? Sarapahb (Confession)? He sang that. He is also credible for MANY lakorn songs back in the day...back when there wasn't The Star or Academy Fantasia, or anything of that sort. I just love his chill songs and his chill voice.
7. Porshe Saran Sirilak- This kid needs to sign up with Grammy Gold and show what he's got with looktoong. His voice is made for looktoong. If you've seen "Sanae Bangkok" and "Mon Rak Mae Naam Moon"...heck! He sang so many songs for lakorns, he should be a singer by now! His voice is just beautiful...unbelievable for such a baby-faced actor. Who knew behind that sweet, baby-faced, is a beautiful but such manly voice?!

My top seven women have to be:
1. Parn Thanaporn Wagprayoon- When it comes to pouring out the heart, I give the tiara to Parn Thanaporn. This woman is incredible...sometimes, I wonder how she gathers her emotions and where she gets the power from. She puts so much into her songs that it makes you want to sing along and imagine yourself in her place.
2 Panadda Reungwoot- The BEST lyrics + great voice = one awesome singer. Nothing more and nothing less. I honestly think Panadda Reuangwoot's songs has the best lyrics. Even better, her voice brings out the character that she portrays while she sings. A hopeless and pitiful Narin from "Sawan Bieng"? Who could've done it better? No one. I describe her as the queen of lakorn OSTs because she does a splendid job of bringing nang'ek characters to life.
3. Punch Worakarn Rojjanawat- Punch is like the cutesy-rocker princess to me. She always has that narak look but her voice is definitely that of a rocker...a cute one. I love how she can sing rock, ballads, and upbeat pop. Her voice isn't any different but her tone is, and it just shows how great of a singer she is, which to me, is almost comparable to the older sao rockers.
4. Amp Saowalak and Mai Charoenpura- These two are tied for third place for me because like I described Gun and Toomtaam, Amp and Mai don't have to put a lot into their performances and they can bring out a great one. They don't have to try hard and put in much because talent is written all over their faces.
5. Jennifer Kim and Gaem Wichayanee Pearklin- The most powerful voices I have ever witnessed! Where do they get all of that breath from when singing?! Seems like they never run out of breath! I admire their voices alot because when I sing along with them, or try to cover their songs, I wish I had their amazing soprano voices.
6. Kat Rattikarn- My favorite female looktoong singer! Remember "Hongfah Gub Somwung"? Remember the songs that Aom Phiyada supposedly sang in the lakorn? I always thought that was Aom singing until one day I stumbled upon Kat Rattikarn on YouTube. I was awestruck and excited for quite a bit. She has this angelic appearance that adds on to her beautiful voice and beautiful performances.
7. New-Jiew- The duo that captures a lot of hearts due to their sex appeal, striking beauty, and unbelievably similiar voices. Their songs and performances are always top-notch. ALWAYS. They are hot. They are raeng. They are the infamous "the Star" duo. They are like the female version of Golf-Mike.

I felt the need to add my top seven bands:
:D :D :D
1. Jeasmine
2. Tono and the Dust- Tono gets better and better. I hate his band name, though. However, their songs are awesome. Rock is what Tono does best and he does show that when he rocks the stage with is live performances. I can't deny the fact that I used to hate this guy and steadily grew to love him. Ain't that something?
3. Yes'sir Days
4. SDF
5. C-Quint- A lot of people hated C-Quint when they debuted...and probably still do. I loved them from the beginning and still do. They're not the best pop band in Thailand but they definitely are the best Thai boyband, in my opinion. They work so well together and the best bromance, which is a definite plus for me because it brings out the best in their live performances. Can I also add that they dance superb and in-sync ALL the time; that's difficult.
6. Instinct
7. Zeal
*Didn't want to comment on the rest of the bands I listed because they're all rock and they all have fairly the same qualities. Had to comment on Tono and the Dust, though. I really hate his band name but their music is awesome. Then, C-Quint is the only pop band that I can categorize as a top seven voice(s).

phatman

POPE's #1 MIA LUANG
I don't really follow Thai artists outside of the small screen, so unless their voice has been featured in a lakorn ost, I have no clue who they are or how they sing. Hehe. Btw, I'm more into Thai classical Voices...if that's how you call it. Haha.

I don't have that many favorites...for now.

Girls
1. Pearl Rapeeporn: I don't like her voice when she songs American songs, but when she sings Thai songs....my heart melts. I can listen to her voice anyday. Hak Roo Suk Nid is a rec!! Yes, I'm convinced it's her voice. Although there's no info anywhere, I can just feel her voice. Haha.

2. Saranya Songsermswad: I love her voice. It's deep and echos within my heart. Totally recommend Buang Ruk.

Guys
Ford: The dude has a sexy voice! Period. Haha.

This is all I have for now. Will add later.

By the way, I'd like to add the singer of "Lao Man Kaew" from the lakorn "Tae Bpang Korn" (Ann T. and Num S. version). Everytime I hear that song, I always smile a stupid, dreamy smile.

♥Korean Obsessed♥
This is an awesome topic, but yet also hard. I don't listen to all of their music, but here goes my list.

Men

1. **Boy Peacemaker -His lovely voice opened my heart and brought me to the world of Thai music. His song, Jai Chun Pen Kaung Tur from Jai Rao really touched me and made me fall for his voice. He sings so beautifully without even trying, his emotions through his music touches my heart all the time. He's like the king of lakorn ost for me.

1. **Gun Napat the Star 6 -I cheated, but I don't care lol I love this man's voice!!! His voice stands out the most and the most unique amongst all of the Star winners. His voice is very vintage and period like that when he sings a period ost, I just fall in love and want to dance. Like Boy Peacemaker, he sings very well without even trying. Also he has a very cute smile.

****A notable mention is Bovy, though I don't listen to his music, I do like one of his songs, his version of Yom Jum Non Fah Din really hits the spot and eyes do usually get watery when this song comes on. His voice is so powerful in this song, that you feel the emotions of pain and loss of love. One of my all time favorites that I hardly pass up the chance of listening to the song.

TO BE CONTINUED.......

We should do bands too huh haha

1. D2B
My all time favorite and #1 boy band is D2B. Dan, Beam and Big were also the first ones who got me interested in Thai music. After one summer 02' night, I became crazy over them when my sister rented one of their vcd at a local Asian movie store nearby. Ever since that night, I became a fan. At that time, I didn't know how to use internet as much so I had my sister order me one of their vcds from ethaicd. After that, the collection started.Their Summer Mix album is by far one of my favorite from D2B. *dabs eyes ahhh good times good times. Back then CD players were the shxt so I took that portable electronic device everywhere so I could listen to them at school or on the road. I wish I took better care of their CDs/VCDs tho cause now the covers are either cracked or missing disc A/Disc B. Same goes to Dome's CDs T_T After P'Big passed away, I still remain a loyal fan and bought the remaining albums of DanBeam. I labeled Beam as mine so my sisters and I wouldn't fight over which member is ours haaha Beam's name was used as my usernames on threads, pw etc *beamsgurl to be exact hahaha My first email ever was rukturd2b haha then one of my friends pointed out that my email had the word "turd" in it ! Woww thanks lmao My wall is still decorated with my ugly handwritten Kawee(Beam)'s girl fan sign and pictures of him Dan&Big taped around it lol. I wish P'Big was still here with us. We all miss his handsome face, cute smile and beautiful voice dearly. What's nice is that Beam and I have the same bday, Dan has the same bday as my friend and Big's bday is on my sister's bday so I remember their birthdays clearly. D2B forever remains in my heart.

2. BirdSek
This duo was epic !!!!! Great collaboration from two veteran recording artists !! What more can I say!? Karaoke my heart out to "Om Pra Mah Pood" "Jai Sung Ma" and all them epic epic oldies !!! Ahhh

3. CLASH
Fai Ruk was a hit !!!! I had that song on repeat for the longest until I got tired of it lol When ichannel still existed on cable, there was a Thai Tv Show I believe Taya Rogers vj for that showed, released the latest mvs and Fai Ruk was one of them. I recorded over an old movie just so I can have the mv. Damnn this was so long ago haha

4. Nologo
I was pretty surprised when Nologo came out because I had already thought Dome was doing good as a soloist. One time he wore a tight red leather pants for an award show or was it a fashion show(can't remember clearly) with his band mates that lead me thinking "whoaaa, Dome has changed :(." I was pretty scared of his band when I watched one of their mvs. Lol I was just overreacting ! They're not that bad lol During my Freshman year in HS, I would sneak and listen to Nologo at ethaimusic and one time my web page froze and my teacher happen to walk by. He just stared at me weirdly without saying a word ! I sweated so bad because I thought I was going to get detention for surfing the net when I was suppose to finish up my Excel class work lol whooo that was a close one SMiLeZ haha

And from here on, making M&M fan mvs since 10' introduced me to these incredible Bands

5. Klear
"Ruk Mai Taung Garn Wela" was the first song I heard from them leading to their ost to "Hua Jai Ruk Karm Pope." And many more. Outstanding music ^^

6. Prik Thai
At one point the band changed the gal and I was pretty damn disappointed!!!! Then all of a sudden, poof, the first gal came back ^^ All SMILEZ ! Hahaha

7. MANN BodySlam and Big Ass are a tie for me :(

Guys:

Gun Napat Injaiuea (The Star 6)    - his voice is soo soothing and heavenly. The best singer out of The Star or should I say the best male singer!?!?! He is great at singing any kind of genre from pop to lookthoong. His first single (Raya Tum Jai) was a hit and it's still one of my favorite song hands down. I can listen to his songs or any song that he sings over and over again and never be sick and tired of it. His voice is just soo sexy. He just have the voice. If Gun doesn't make it to everyone's list I don't know what to say, what a shame.. LOL JK I'm obviously Gun bias!

"Bank" (Clash) - I grew up listening to them. He was my favorite until Clash broke up, how sad!! They have some of the best sad rock songs that I will forever love.

"Boy" (Peacemaker) - He have plenty of awesomely great OST, I'm pretty sure most of us can agree on that. This guy can sing.

"Pup" (Potato) - I've always like this band. Pup is a great singer. I walked down the aisle on my wedding with their song "Pror Tur". One of my favorite hits of theirs is actually their newer song "Mai Roo Ja Athibai Young Ngai".

"Toon" (Bodyslam) - I saw them live and they were awesome! Especially Toon ^_^ He has a unique voice that I just love.

Dome Jaruwat (The Star 8) - He's soo cute I want to squeeze his cheeks!! I automatically think of furby's when I see him. LOL that's not why he is on my top 7 though. He can sing!

Aof Pongsak - He has the best sad/love songs ever. Like Gam I think he has such a powerful voice.

Girls:

Panadda Ruangwut - The queen of OST. She is just lovely. I love listening to her slow songs, they are the best.

Lydia Sarunrat - I love everything about her. She can sing English fluently and I think she sounds great. I'm glad she's back making more music because she's one of my favorites. Though her song is difficult for me to sing I love karaoking to her music.

New & Jiew - When I think of girls that can sing, it gotta be these two. This duos have vocals. Two of the best! I love that they are a duo, they sing so well together and I hope that doesn't change. Love these two lovely ladies.

Namcha Cheranut - When I first heard of her I loved her. I was like this girl is on point! Her style changes so quickly with the latest fashion which can be a miss sometimes but I like how she's always changing and trying new things.

Katreeya English - I grew up listening to her. She is a great singer and she can dance, what a plus :)

Gam Wichayanee (The Star 4) - When I think about a powerhouse singer it got to be Gam. Her voice is super powerful. She's the only girl winner from the Star still, how crazy is that? I think that's pretty cool. She got to represent Thailand and sang "Let It Go" I'm so proud of her.

Grand Punwarot (The Star 5) - She can sing and she's also known for her dancing. She made it to my top 7 female singer.
