This is a live adaptation of the anime and manga Nobunaga Concerto :)  Oguri Shun will portray the character Saburo and Oda Nobunaga, so basically he'll be playing a twin role :)  Shibasaki Kou will portray Oda Nobunaga's wife Kicho.

A neat fact is that Oguri Shun was also the narrarator for the anime too :D and will also casted here in this live drama and movie adaptation.  I'm excited.

The first episode was not a disappointment!  I loved every bits of it.  The cast did a wonderful job portraying the characters, and their acting wasn't too forced.. looked natural.

Of course seeing the anime first and now the live drama... I must say that they changed the characters' personalities up a bit.  I don't mind the changes though.. since it gives the drama a different feel.

Shun definitely did a great job in here.  Yes, he's older now.. so of course he doesn't really pass as a high schooler (like people keep mentioning/ranting about) but who cares because it's only like for the beginning lol.  (I still think he can pull off anything!)  He was a great comic relief character in here...

The music used in here actually goes really well too.. I was thinking we'll get to hear more traditional pieces but hearing the modern dubstep? sounds-ish goes quite well ahaha, since Shun's character is from the modern time.

I definitely can not wait for ep 2 :)

already read the manga version even it not complete yet.try to watch the first ep but i guess i can't get through it all even i like oguri shun and osamu mukai.they are way too cool to be comical..lol  :lol2:  but i like the opening tho.
just by reading the manga already make me annoy with subaru and real nobunaga(he is gou uncle after all).poor the old guy got killed because of him.well this reaction from me maybe due to reading an uncomplete manga.got to blame on myself..lol.for now maybe i will just stay by reading the manga only.if i have my mode on dorama again i will continue from what i have left.

I will wait until this end. I don't like to watch drama that only airs once a week and it's not even a full hour in length.

^ you serious??? it's gone... omgoodness!!! what a sad world  it'll be now :( *sniffsniff*

I must say that despite the differences between this live drama and the anime/manga.. the storyline is still quite smooth... In the anime, Saburo isn't really a weakling much.. since he actually goes into battle etc.. but Oguri's Saburo is quite a weakling... since he fears for his life all the time... I didn't like this change of character much but... it's enjoyable though since he's quite comedic ehehe :)

Kou's character went through a change too, she isn't as sweet or delicate like she's supposed to be in the anime.  She is a bit mean-ish to Oguri's character in here lol... but it's hilarious.

Yes, the owner took down the torrent section due to personal reasons (the forum and wiki page are still available). That was my go-to place for all my Asian drama fix. Now I'll have to find a new one...somewhere...

^ Well it depends on what you're looking forward to.

I'm a big fan of the anime/manga.. as well as a big fan of Shun, and the majority of the cast.. so it's a big plus to me.

As for how they've been adapting the drama based on the manga... they've changed quite a lot stuff but the storyline still flows pretty well.

The cast's acting are all great none the less.

Ok, just got done watching the 10 episode... I seriously don't know how they'll end this drama because the manga/anime is no where complete.. and I know that they didn't really follow it much anyways... eeek.  I don't know what to expect or picture.... yikes!

I can't wait to catch the last ep though... I don't know whether to be sad or... happy?

So far, the ratings for the show hasn't been bad though.  They're all over 10%.

^ All 10 subs are out.  The last episode (11) will air tomorrow on Monday.  And the subs should be finished by Saturday.  They're really consistent on the subs.

I'm very curious as to how the film version will be like.  Will they make it sort of like a drama SP or will it be a totally different cast with Oguri still... and staying true to the anime/manga? hmm.. hmm.. hmm.

I got up to episode 3 and then dramania app went batshit on me. I know there are alternative sites to watch this but I prefer to download it on my phone and watch it. I would opt for Viki if it has this drama but nope.

Anyway my thought so far... I didn't like the beginning. It was just difficult to watch Shun as a high school student. And I hate it when he dresses in his modern clothes in the past.

^ It's licensed on Crunchyroll Fun... if you want to stream it from there.

As for Shun, he's supposed to be a high school student in here, but since I already knew that he was gonna be dressed up as a high school student for only a short period... I wasn't worried at all lol.  That was the same for the anime :p  But for the anime, Saburo blended in with the others, but for this live one, they still make Shun wear his sweater and shoes.. etc... I was ok by it.  I just kind of wished his wardrobe like the yukata? was a bit more fancy though, some of them looked a bit dull to me.

I finished the drama the other week.  I was a bit shocked at the ending.  I must say I really like the drama overall though, even if there's a big difference in comparison with the original anime/manga :)  I guess I just really liked the cast because they did a great job.
