[2015]Your Best/Worst/Most Disappointing Lakorn Picks!

The title is somewhat explanatory. I think we should do one of these every year! Here are some categories, feel free to add more if you think there should be any. Remember this is purely opinion based, no one has to agree or disagree with you. Keep it clean and no personal attacks! I'm aware that the year is not over year, but you can update your picks at any time and I mean it is basically November already almost at the end lol.

Best Lakorn So Far
Ka Badin was my choice

Worst Lakorn So Far
Dung Sawan Sarb, Omg -.- The pairing was hot, but the lakorn was so stupid and the acting even worst!

Most Disappointing
Jao Sao Chaporkit (Ka Nueng Ha Remake) - SO MANY CHANGES AND THEY BASICALLY ADDED SOME VERY UNNECESSARY CRAP ON THERE. I could say Hua Jai Mee Ngao, but I bet many will already mention it lol!

Most Surprising (Lakorn that really surprised you and was unexpectedly very good)
Kor Bpen Jao Sao Sark Krang Hai Cheun Jai - I had no doubts in chemistry, I mean it is MATT and GRATE.. However, I had never heard of Bec Tero and to be honest the title of the lakorn threw me off I thought it would be a feel good romance comedy, but as I saw the trailer and such it was clear it wasn't. Even SO... it came out pretty great.

Most Memorable of the year
Peuan Paeng this tied with Bang Rajan for me, but Peuan Paeng had the upper hand.

Worst Pairing
Kaewta Wan Jai, I like Mint and I like Boy, but when I watched this lakorn one thing was very very clear. There was absolutely no chemistry. I wish they picked someone else as the pra'ek! Boy just didn't go as pra'ek in this lakorn, but Mint was great here.

Best Pairing, Chemistry of the year
Matt and James Ma, I wasn't expecting much but as the lakorn went on ... my mind was super blown.

Most Surprising Pairing
Boy and Kimberly, after my disappointment with Mint and Boy. I didn't think I would be able to see Boy with Kim... In the end it just worked.

Remember feel free to add your own topics or categories. No harsh criticism where it is personally attacking, I am NOT afraid to shank you. Lol just kidding! Not, really.

I have not watch too many lakorn this year so my input was only base on the one I saw/watch...

Best Lakorn So Far
Song Hua Jai Nee Puea Tur - totally in love and obsessing about this lakorn.
Mai Sin Rai Fai Sawat - is a love/hate relationships, but it gets my blood broiled.

Worst Lakorn So Far
Theppabut Sood Veha - worst remakes because I love the original.

Most Disappointing
Kol Kimono - disappointed because I feels that the story could have been better.

Most Surprising (Lakorn that really surprised you and was unexpectedly very good)
Yai Kanlaya - didn't want to watch it, because doesn't look interesting, even the title sounds weird LOLz.

Most Memorable of the year
MLM series, even though I didn't watch all the parts, but still enjoy the part that I've watched.

Worst Pairing
Although I like Poo Priya, I would say her being n'ek would considered her to be worst pairing to her p'ek.   :hide:   Sorry Poo, nothing against you, just your acting ruined the lakorn for me.
Best Pairing, Chemistry of the year
Kwan and Tui T.
Mint and Mario

Most Surprising Pairing
Mint and Mario

This year I watched a number lakorns but not specifically 2015's since I need subtitles

I actually like MLM Suer's Ananda-Kim pairing tgt
Other than that,I also liked Neung Nai Suang, and new found love for Yaya

Prakaidao

sarNie Adult
Most disappointing was Dragon Blood Series, I only managed to watch the first two, and then skimmed Raed, didn't even watch Krating, and only a little bit of Hong.
Best Lakorn would have to go to Bang Rajun because it got me bawling my eyes out, loved the cast, the plot, the pairing screen time, and just the morals/lessons.
Oh and most surprising was Two Spirits Love! Love Chario, didn't think I would like it but it is awesome, also Tai Ngao Jan, and Kha Badin, the one thing that these lakorns have in common is a strong N'ek who's able to kick butt.
Will come back to add more.

Best lakorn
Ka Badin (period)
SHJNPT (modern)

Worst lakorn
Hua Jai Mee Ngao(even KTWJ from Mint and Boy can't top this because at least they have plausible storyline)

Most disappointing
Kaew Ta Wan Jai(I really wanted to love the pairing and I tried my best to love them)
Mafia Luerd Mungkorn:Suer(the chemistry was wasted)
Mafia luerd munkorn:Krating(Even Ken couldn't save this.)

Most surprising pair
Tik and Mew(didn't think I would have tik fever again)
Nadech and Taew(I'm always reluctant towards NY)

Most surprising lakorn

Most memorable lakorn
Mafia luerd munkorn:Singh(I was really disappointed by the predecessor and thankfully I didn't skip this one)
Ka Badin(Matt in period was a pleasant surprise.)

Worst pairings
Poo and her Preks

Best pairing
Matt and her Preks
CHADAOH
AHTEE (Tik and Mew)

Ntsuab-Ci

In love with Phet Thakrit <3
Best Lakorn So Far
Bang Rajun. I am still very attach to the cast and storyline.

Most Disappointing
Kol Kimono. I ended up only watching nong Unda and Mac's scenes only. They had a better story.
Mai Sin Rai Sawat. Such a hot pair but not much else.

Most Surprising Lakorn
MLM; Singh. I didn't think much about Tik and Mew. Storyline didn't interest me but wow, was I wrong.

Most Memorable of the year
Honestly, I can only think of Bang Rajun. I think that was the only sad lakorn I've watched this year. Everything was memorable.

Best Pairing, Chemistry of the year
Mario and Mint. I knew that they were going to be awesome together but wooooow. I didn't expect such great chemistry!

I'm behind like 10 lakorns ATM so this is probably subject to change but here's my take currently:

Best Lakorn So Far

Banlang Mek. The tragedy, the drama, the life-lessons, the chemistry; this lakorn is a huge masterpiece. Every single actor in this lakorn did their part so incredibly well. I have nothing but praise for this lakorn.

Worst Lakorn So Far
TBA

Most Disappointing

Kol Kimono. Couldn't live up to the rest of the series. Roy Mai, Qi Pao, Sarb Poosa was 100x better. This lakorn wasn't bad-bad but it wasn't great either. It's a waste of Bird's comeback, the storyline is childish and lazy and Chom and Ken had very unstable chemistry and romance development. 2nd place disappointment would go to Krating. It had so much potential with such a unique storyline where both n'ek and p'ek are pretending to be different people, plus a badass and scorned n'ek who is looking for vengeance but everything just got too messy by the end of it. Great jobs as per usual by Ken and Cherry and I love Act Act, but this lakorn was a hot mess by the end with the drawn out Hia Krating going in to stab Leng for about 100 times within 10 minutes and it going nowhere and the continuous foiling of Yaya's killing by Tham.

Most Surprising (Lakorn that really surprised you and was unexpectedly very good)

Lom Sorn Ruk. Usually twin dramas are super cliche and predictable but this lakorn took some risks and became very interesting and unique. Not to mention this is one of Nadech's best acting to date and I was surprised to enjoy seeing him and Taew together.

Most Memorable of the year

Yet again I must say Banlang Mek. Mos crying alone still breaks my heart to this day.

Worst Pairing

I wouldn't call it a worst pairing but not the greatest in my book; Yaya and James Ji. They lacked the sizzle and as a result it made things a little boring.

Best Pairing, Chemistry of the year

Kim and Ananda. Only a slap and kiss drama can bring out the best chemistry in people and indeed Ananda and Kim blew up the screen. Thank you Off Pongpat for working so hard to put Ananda in this.

Most Surprising Pairing
Ananda and Kimberley. I don't even like the both of them separately but together they are just magic.

*Best Lakorn so far*
Ka Badin: Everything falls into pieces. The history is there, the love story is sweet, no stupid misunderstandings, a n'ek that love with all her heart without wanting anything in return. A pra'ek that isn't a coward to stand up to the rai and doesn't fall for her dumb tricks and manipulative words.

*Worst lakorn so far*
I don't know...some lakorns are so bad that it's good hahahha. It's like a train wreck you know it's coming but can't get out of the way.

*Most disappointing*
Half the lakorns airing this year.

*Most Surprising*
Bride to Be: I didn't think it was good because how many ways can they make a switching body lakorn work. It's like a recycle storyline that needs a quick death. But Bride to Be was good in a sense that they made their own, gave a new spin on switching body lakorn. They did a great job.

*Most Memorable of the year*
Ka Badin: It was elaborate, well thought out. The love story was endearing and misunderstandings were resolved quickly. Not to add, the pra'ek knows what he wants without being scared of giving the rai the ugly eyes lol.

*Worst Pairing*
Anyone Poo is with. She is pretty on her own but her acting diminished some of her beauty and has the ability to make her leading man stuck on an island of his own

*Best pairing chemistry of the year*
I don't think any of the parings this year has that explosive chemistry where it hits me right in the heart.

*Most surprising pairing*
Matt and James: I don't want Matt to pair up with someone that's close to a pretty boy...the small face, slim body and not to add younger than her. Matt just wouldn't look good with someone like that but surprisingly, she made it worked with James Ma. They were so adorable in a sweet way...their roles helped a lot with the never wavering love of theirs.

It's great that as someone who dislikes and is not fond of Kim, you can still watch her lakorns, praise her, judge her without bias and give her credit where credit is due. :)

"Only a slap and kiss drama can bring out the best chemistry in people." EXACTLY. And this is why for the past couple of years I've been saying that Toomtam and Mo just need a slap-kiss lakorn. They already have explosive chemistry, but it's being restricted and held back from its full capacity due to their scripts which lack intimacy and development between their characters. I strongly believe that once given the opportuniy to showcase their full potential as a pairing in a well written, produced and directed slap-kiss lakorn, TooMo's compatibility will finally be recognized; their popularity will soar, their fanclub will increase and they will both rise to the top together. One thing I know for sure is that their chemistry will be sizzling and out of this world in a slap-kiss full of angst, forced kisses, etc. Hopefully that day will come soon!!

^Oh yes.

Most Surprising Lakorns of the Year:
Leh Ratee - Didn't expect much since I wasn't interested in neither Sean or Esther, but was hooked from the teaser and first episode onward. There were a few things I wished they'd change but overall it was a solid and well written, produced and directed lakorn.

Nang Rai Tee Rak - It wasn't amazing, but everyone expected it to be bad or boring since it's from Noi's production. And in the end, it turned out to be enjoyable and very easy to watch.

Most Disappointing Lakorns of the Year:
Roy Leh Sanae Rai - Execution of the story was a huge let down, acting and ost were mediocre, and the editing and background music during certain scenes was really bad. Casting for Push, Lily, Pornfah, Chin and Note's characters could've been better.

MLM Suer/series - Perfect, compatible and an all star cast with an awesome producer and directors, but everything else didn't live up to the high expectations. Many flaws in set design and plots, mannerisms and speech from all the characters made it seem like it was a modern series, and other than the clothing you couldn't even tell that they were supposed to be playing characters with Chinese heritage.

Tawan Tud Burapa - Had potential in the beginning, but wasn't as great and entertaining as Tik and Tang's version. You didn't feel the strong brotherly love between Son and Pong, Son and Pango could've used more improvements in their performances, and the love development between Son/Pango, Pong/Pango and Ak/Mo were limited.

Ever since Exact moved to ONE HD, they've been lacking more than usual in the romance department. It's either a complete hit or miss (hit-Leh Ratee; misses-TTB and RLSR). With their misses, what I've noticed is that they now have a tendency to rush their love scenes (not giving enough screentime for their characters to express their feelings thoroughly through dialogue so that you can feel the intensity and deepness of their love). And the overall atmosphere of some of their love scenes just don't set the mood and aren't romantic at all because of the unfitting background music.

Best (new) Pairing/Chemistry:
Ananda & Kim - Explosive, raw and natural interactions both onscreen and off screen.

Most Surprising Pairings/Chemistry of the Year:
Boy & Kim - Didn't have doubt in Kim since she always manages to generate great to amazing chemistry with everyone, but I just didn't expect to actually become a fan of them together.

Gun & Ben - I included them because personally, I just don't see the hype over this pair (moreso the hype over Ben since both her acting and looks don't stand out to me), so I'm surprised that they seem to be quite liked together.

Best Lakorns of the Year:
Ban Lang Mek/Peuan Paeng/Bang Rajan (all in tie)

Most Memorable Lakorns of the Year:
Bang Rajan/MLM series (in tie) - Bang Rajan is pretty self explanatory but I included MLM because despite its flaws, it's still the biggest project from Ch.3 and it's the first time so many talented and top veteran actors have collaborated. For those reasons, this will always be a memorable lakorn and series.

Lakorn:
I don't watch that many lakorns compared to others but I was pleasantly surprised by RLSR 2015. I thought I wouldn't like it and end up comparing it to Tik and Aom's original but gladly that didn't happen. I wouldn't necessarily say 2015 was better than the 2002 version but I did enjoy it. As of now I can't decide which I like better.

This is one of the few lakorns where two of the girls who were previously fighting became friends and the real villains were punished as they deserved. Too many a time have these types of characters gotten away with murder and just forgiven...at least it didn't happen here. Also, the p'ek (although he was a jerk and a liar at the start) was at least, not dumb or fooled by anyone. He always made it a point to find out what happened and didn't let things go unexplained. He also didn't let the n'rai's fool or trick him- I guess it's because he did most of the tricking himself.

The entire cast were entertaining ( I even liked Praewroong and Janie here just as much as before); I think this lakorn made a lot of money when it came out and it seems to have a very large number of views and hits. I just hope OneHD realizes that its success isn't because of Push entirely- no, it's because people were entertained by the story. It's not just about the p'ek being handsome (although Push did* play his role well) he wasn't the only reason why it was a hit.

Couple:
I haven't seen Mint and Mario's lakorn but they seem to have a lot of chemistry so good for them. I'm not so much into supernatural series but I might check Song Huajai later. This is the first lakorn of Mario's where his n'ek is younger and looks younger than him and I much prefer it this way. He and Taew were alright but he looked too much like her kid brother.

Compared to them, Push and Lily were alright but I don't think what they had was as good as the rest...it was only because of the script that RLSR succeeded- their chemistry was just ok. Nothing bad or good. I sometimes wish they had cast someone else (like Vill) for the role of Namneung because she is very convincing, not to mention pretty attractive. But Lily was ok. I can imagine several other actresses playing the role of Namneung and be just as convincing. Vill, Kwan and even Mai Davika.

Worst lakorn
I hear so many bad things about Poo Praiya' that I got curious and saw some clips of DSS. They are right.

Best lakorn :
Ban Lang Mek/ Ka Badin/bride serie
Those shows have in common to have a good ensemble cast and strong N'eks acting. Aom and Matt -Koy showed great improvement also- were the brightest stars of the year for me actingwise.

Worst lakorn
Mike/pooklook lakorn stunk !
Poo Praiya lakorn I am still embarrassed by her acting

Pleasant surprise
Ban lang mek : expected nothing but when I started I couldn't leave it

Disappointment
Ngao Jai : Ah piak boooooring directing stinks
MlM : they just did not know how to grab this 50's chinese badasserie feeling, a lot of questionable acting and the peks lacked chemistry -something newbies in gentleman series could generate.

Best pair

Mario Mint
Matt James
Patricia Nadech in LSR - I have got a thing for a pair of smart characters especially when the girl shows elegance and dignity and is not dumb

spanky

I have Chario/ChaDaoh on the Brain

Both the pairing and the lakorn was a pleasant surprise...lot's of Swoon worthy moments and have me obessed and squealing on my pillows!!!!

another 1 is Perfect Match...p'suer "swoon" but Chadaoh lakorn has taken over...I haven't fan girl in a loooong time...since num/kob...I barely FFW this lakorn...only the n'rai part which is boring but it was very minimal...I was NEVER a fan of Mario but he is doing an amazing job w/the 3 different character...Mek is soo LOL and Thun is sooo hot angry
