I think major group is the brand for Thai's theaters. Kinda like AMC for the US. Last I heard Broadcast bought the rights to the movie with backing from the Thai government.
As for the movie yeah I don't know. I mean N2 is the sequel so it's new and fresh everything but still maintain the lakorn fanbase. It's going to be hard to remake a lakorn into the movie with same cast, same story and make it new enough.
It didn't work out to well when China did it with the 10 Miles Peach Blossom story and they used different casts so...
Firstly, I didn't get the 10 Miles Peach Blossom craze even though I do see and get the charm of Mark Chao, he owned both characters (Ye Hua and Zhao Ge) in the drama.
10 Miles Peach Blossom plot is not to my taste...too many twists and turns, spans a few lives and a few major pairings, ended up very convoluted even for a drama standard what was more for a movie of 2 hours length.
Now the movie the male lead was Yang Yang is like the very much watered down version where else Mark Chao has the epic commanding figure to carry the lead character. Strictly, no offense to Yang Yang fan... I mean exterior wise Yang Yang is lor mak but the overall composure more like posturing IMHO. Mark Chao his understanding and portrayal of the character made him into a handsome poochai.
For BPS, I feel it can be made into a movie because the drama didn't really build up the background story of Ork Ya Thibodi's family i.e., Por Sri and the impact of his outcome towards the reserve and careful personality of Por Date. I'm sure Por Date felt burden to keep the calm and not to worry as well as meeting the expectation of the family, he was very considerate and filial especially to his mom Mae Jumpa. The background of Mae Karakade why she becomes like the person she is. The servant perspective as P Yam said the heavenly world is only for the highborn or those court officials. The inside thoughts of Por Date and Kade would translate the scene better and make the plot clearer because even though the crews were wonderfully able to relay their emotions but some outcome of the scenes were based on the viewers' inference thus the actual message could be lost.
The BPS movie to focus more on the later part of i.e., after the death of P Lek and the downfall of Phaulkon because I think the drama stresses more on the dimension journey of Kade to Ayutthaya and a longer Por Date family life after Phra Petchracha because we know the differences during the reign of Khun Luang Narai.
