i wanted to watch Goodbye My Princess too but there is too much angst. but this is based on the novel whom the novelist famous for writing tragic ending, she also wrote the novel which drama Siege in the Fog was adapted from.

and more bad news, the chinese gov has ordered all period dramas to be taken off and stop airing immediately and this will last through June. so there will be no more period chinese dramas for a while and i've been looking forward to some of them *sigh*

I think that's a rumor because according to dramapanda, there's a new chinese ancient series airing next month. I've read on weibo that the ban on ancient series by the sarft was started by the production company of goodbye my princess because they were getting a lot of heat from netizens due to cutting scenes of the protagonists in order to add scenes of a secondary character in order to promote that actress, whom is under their management. Hence they're claiming they cut out all the kiss scenes and sweet scenes in order to avoid getting taken off air. Which is bs, and apparently the rumor is big enough that the sarft is gonna come out and clarify lol.

i search for it and supposedly the ban was retracted because they received a lot of complaint. thus, they allow the dramas to be aired online starting in April but still need to get permission. and tv are not allowed to air more period dramas than modern dramas and cannot promote before they have a brodcast date secured. so not a ban but just a restriction order.

yeah, i heard the rumor about GMP too. can't really comment about it cuz i don't watch the drama and don't follow any news about it.

Who is that actress under their management ? Don't tell me this is Sese's:pancarta: . Chen Xing Xu is so cute ! Fun fact he is same age as my other booboo Zelo (96 liners) but he has the same birthday date as my hubby Bang Yong Guk (31/03). Fate :thumbup: . Lol his popularity blew up. Hopefully he keeps honing his potential.

It IS Sese lmao. :risas3: They changed a lot of her character's storyline from the original novel to make her more likable. It backfired on them though lol.

Chen Xing Xu is really good in Goodbye my princess. He really nailed his character and was so immersed in his role that he bawled for 40 minutes straight on his last day on set. Looking forward to his future roles. :icon12:

Yikes !!! I wished for more kissing scenes. Peng Xiao Ran should give some girls a few tips on how to play happy go lucky jumping around innocent teenage girl without sounding abbrasive and annoying (at freaking 29 !!@@ ). She got dangit chem with my new baby boo and her red tribe outfit... I want it

It all depends on how popular they are and how big their FC is. But I know in Korea, their main source of income for a lot of actors and actresses is the commercials they do and the products they endorse so it’s probably a lot of money if you’re really popular.

Some of the popular actresses are worth like 35-40 million dollars. So, it's not the drama where they are racking in the money.

i was just curious because i saw an article saying Lisa from Blackpink got signed as the new AIS ambassodor in thailand and they are paying her $315000. thats alot of money so i wanted to know if most thai celebs like taew, davika and yaya also cash in that much for major ads or is yg entertainment a negotiation genius.

They still probably rake in like 6 figures as well just not as much as Lisa since she’s like a goddess status in Thailand

The actors are doing dangit job and the scenery and cinematography are great ! I cried a few times with this show
