Chapter 4. I'm Taken

Knock. knock.

Mama Sai: "Sai, sweetheart, i have some good news."

Sai: "come in mom, the door's not lock, i'm finishing up my book."

Mama sai walks into her room and smiles at her.

Sai: "what? what happen mom?"

Mama Sai: "Guess who's taking you to prom sweetheart?"

Sai's face lid up.

Sai: "You mean, Sithra's taking me to prom?!" she squealed.

Her mom nods her head.

Mama Sai: "Yes, he is. Sithra's mom was glad that i brought up prom because she wanted Sithra to go with you sweetie."

Sai: "really mom?!"

Mama Sai: "Yes Darling, he will be taking you to prom." she smiled at Sai.

Sai was in total shock. she didn't think this could ever happen, especially since Sithra told her he would NEVER want to be seen with her & now he's taking her to prom.

Sai: "Oh thank you so much mom! Now we have to go dress shopping, then shoe shopping, & i have to get my nails & hair done and and thenn -"

Mama Sai: "whoa... slow down Saiphon, you're thinking way ahead. Prom isn't for a few more weeks. Just take it one week at a time. everything will come together."

Sai giggles & gives her mom a hug.

Sai: "oh thanks again mom."

Mama Sai: "no problem sweetheart, anything for my baby girl. Now i gotta go cook dinner so i'll let you get back to your reading."

Sai: "okay mom, see you in a few."

Sai watches as her mom leaves the room. She jumps up & down with excitement, still shocked at the fact that she is going with Sithra, the most popular boy in school.

Sai: "oh.. this must be a dream... if it is... don't wake me up! I wanna dream forever!"

She jumps on her bed & gives Mr. Turf [her stuffed bear] a big hug. Sithra gave her that bear on her 11th birthday.

Sai: "Mr. Turf, did you hear that!? Sithra's taking me to prom...! Me...! ekkk! I think i'm the luckiest girl!!"

she lets out a sigh & kisses Mr. Turf. She fell back on her bed & looks up the ceiling.

"I am the luckiest girl... " she giggles.

"What can possibly go wrong..?"

Chapter 5: Surprise Date

May: "What do you mean you're taking some other girl?!"

Sithra: "keep your voice down May, people are looking.."

Sithra looks around to see if anyone is listening in.

May pouts: "But Sithra babe... me & you promise to go to prom! we've planned since the beginning of the year! you just can't back out now! who is gonna wanna take me now?!"

Sithra: "May, i'm really sorry... My mom's the one who came up with the idea. Now i'm stuck taking her friend's daughter to prom. She is the last person in this world i would want to take..But whatever my mom says go.. I can never win a battle with her.. she's the lady of the house."

May crosses her arm and turns her head.

"Okay... who's this biatch you are taking? I'm going to hunt her down..."

Sithra takes her hand and says "babe, don't worry about it. she's nobody.. i feel sorry for the chick anyways so i'm doing this as favor."

"but why... Sit, hunnie?!" May wined.

Sithra: "My mom already promised so I can't argue with her about it. I've begged her so many times but i just can't win with her."

May: " ugh... fine. who is she anyways? She better not be prettier than me.."

Sithra lets go of her hands & mumbles: "its .. uh.. saiphon.."

May: "uh. what? say it again babe, i didn't hear you."

Sithra looks around & says "Saiphon.."

May's jaw dropped & she screams: "SAIPHON!?!? "

Sithra covers her mouth to keep her from screaming. He didn't want others to know who he is going with. His reputation is already on the line.

May pushes Sithra away.

May: "Why the hell are you taking her?! I know i said she can't be prettier than me but she definitely can't be uglier than me!"

Sithra took a step back & cover his left ear.

"May.. sweetie... calm down -"

May: "I will NOT calm down! My boyfriend is taking the ugliest girl in school, better yet, maybe the ugliest girl ALIVE! & you want me to CALM DOWN!?!? You just ruined my reputation!"

She pushes Sithra and walks off in tears.

Sithra calls May but she was long gone. He clutches his fist & punches the locker a few time.

Sithra: "stupid... sai-glok... i ... hate... you...!"

Mark: "whoa.. whoa... easy there buddy.. that's just a locker... what has it done to you?"

Mark pulls Sithra away from the locker.

Sithra: "May's mad at me beacuse i'm taking someone else to prom."

Mark's jaw dropped. "what the..? you're not taking May? why not? that's your girlfriend man!"

Sithra: "i know i know. I want to take May & i had plans to take May but my mom ruined it! she's making me take her friend's daughter instead..."

Mark: "ooh.. your mom.. eh.. can't ever win with her.."

Sithra: "tell me about it.. i begged like crazy but she would not give in!"

Mark: "deng.. that sucks.. Can I take May then?"

Sit smacks Mark on the back of the head.

"Don't play with me Mark, im depressed right now"

Mark: "ow man that really hurts & who said i was playing. i'm being serious. i want to take May. I'll take good care of her & you know I will."

Sithra hesistated but agreed to it.

Sithra: "fine.. i rather have my best friend take her than some other dumb jocks."

Mark: "wahoo! i'm taking May to prom! the sexiest girl in the school! oweee!"

Sithra: "you better take good care of her & you better not do anything or else i will kill you."

Mark: "Yes Sir! I will do my best!"

Sithra puts his hands on his head and nods.

Mark: "so who's the girl your taking to prom?"

Sithra lets out a big sigh & whisper: "Saiphon."

Mark's eye widen: "what the hell..? you're taking saiphon...? sai-glok...? am i hearing this correct?"

Mark cleans his ear.

Sithra: "yes.. yes.. i'm taking Sai-glok!"

Mark screams: "Sai-glok!?"

Sithra: "would you shut the F-up already! I don't want the whole world to know..."

Sithra punches him in the stomach.

Mark: "ow.. man.. if you keep punching me.. you're gonna regret it. but deng... you taking sai-glok... wow. your mom is pure evil! how could she?! So are you gonna give Sai-glok some loving after prom...?"

Sithra: "are you F-ing NUTS?! Hell no..! She'll be the last girl on earth that i would want to have sex with..."

Mark: "hey.. just asking.. just in case you wanna give some action you know."

Sithra: "Not from her. hell no."

Mark: "Can i get some action with her girl?"

Sithra elbows Mark in the head.

Sithra: "what did i tell you about hitting on my girl???"

Mark backs up & chuckles. Sithra's eyebrow raise & an idea pops into his head.

Sithra: " wait.. my mom only said i have to take her... she didn't say i have to stay with her at prom.."


Mark: "what does that mean..? ohhhh... what are you gonna do Sit?"

Sithra rubs his hand & says... "it will be a BIG surprise my friend... a BIG surprise.. just for Sai-glok..."
