I was trying to make sense of what a snake is in Thai culture and here is what I got from thaiworldview (credits)

Snakes are associated to old beliefs in Thai culture. Here are some of them :

I didn't fully read the article ... but it sounds like staff in the building...admins? They are paying off their contract/agreement...?
