Chapter One:

The rain fell heavily on little ChiangMai, a place of custom and order. Somewhere there was a farm in which is call "SawanNalee." This farm was created by whom everyone calls Grandpa Pung, he had named this farm for his beloved wife, Nalee. SawanNalee, when translated means Heaven for Nalee, but it was not as properous as Lumpung had hoped for it to turn out to be. As the years went by, the farm began to have its financial problems, then there was their only granddaughter, Kob Suvanant and her incident that changed everything. It all happened because they had taken in the son of their close friend whom had died in a tragic car accident. So back to the night that the rain fell heavily on little ChiandMai, the thunder roared, the wind blew, and the lightening striked.

The SawanNalee Farmhouse:

"Kob, my dear. You are way too young" Grandma Nalee said.

"No I'm not. I think I love him" she answered back.

"KOB! Stop that nonsense. I've called for Tik, wait until he comes then we'll hear his side of the story" Grandpa Lumpung yelled.

Soon there was a knock on the door and the servant brought in Tik Jessadaporn, the only son of Grandpa Lumpung's close friend that he had taken in when his parents died. Tik slowly walked in and sat down on the floor.

"Grandpa, Grandma. You wanted to talk to me?" He asked.

"Yes, now Kob here thinks that she is in love with you, I think that it is merely a crush." Grandpa Lumpung said.

Tik looked at Kob, "I'm so grateful that you guys took me in when my parents died and I had no one left. I have nothing to do with Kob. She's young, she can do better. I would never do anything against your orders. I don't think that there is love between us. All there is, is the love for a sister from a brother."

"Bullshit. You're lying. I can see it in your eyes" KOb yelled.

"I DON'T LOVE YOU KOB, why should I when I'm marrying Jieb Chompoonuch" He said sternly.

It hit her, it hit her hard. Was love really this painful? Tears began to roll down her cheeks. Kob then got up and went to Tik, she looked at him and slapped him before running off into her room.

"It's a good deed that you're doing Tik. You know that Jieb is sick and you're marrying her so she can be happy" Grandpa said.

"She loves me. I can't hurt her when she is sick"

"Yet, you can hurt another heart" Grandma Nalee added.

"Kob is only 17 years old. She's still young. I also want to prove myself of something around here. I will make this farm properous like how you wanted too Grandpa."

"And how old are you now Tik" Grandma Nalee asked.

"I'm 20 years old" Tik answered.

For two days Kob stayed in her room, she locked herself inside crying, but this day was different. The sun was shining brightly. The silence that was once there began to vanish with the sounds of laughter and music. She peaked out and saw the marriage line. Townspeople came to join as Tik walked to the bride's house. "He's really getting married." She sneaked outside and peaked at the couple, Tik and Jieb was being blessed by the elderlys. Tears crusaded down.

The night when everyone was celebrating and partying. Grandma Nalee had ordered one of the servants to bring Kob some food upstairs. Moments later she came running back down with news that Kob was gone. She was nowhere to be found. Grandpa Lumpung, Grandma Nalee ran to the room as Tik followed behind with Jieb. They checked to room to see that all her clothes and other items was gone. Tik then found a letter by her bedside. He opened it and read aloud to everyone.

Dear Grandpa and Grandma,

By the time you find this letter. I believe that I'll be long gone. I can't live here after this incident. I want to get away from the person that I thought I had love, away from the pain that it had caused me. I hope that his new life with his new wife will be happy for I am not. My heart had shattered into pieces since that night. Maybe by being far away will give me time to think. When I reach my destination I will call. Don't worry about me. I'll be alright. I will mature up and not by a child anymore. To Tik, please take good care of my Grandparents and the SawanNalee Farm. I love you all. Kob.

CHAPTER 2:

By now, Grandma Nalee was in tears, her only granddaughter was gone to god knows where.

"Don't worry Nalee. I think I know where she went" Grandpa Lumpung said.

"Where?"

"Where else, but to our daughter Narin"

"Who's that Grandpa? How come I've never seen or heard of her before?" Tik asked.

"Well, Narin is our youngest daughter. She left SawanNalee because she wanted to get away from this farm life. It wasn't for her she had said. Narin was really close to Kob. She was like a second mother to her. Narin took care of Kob when Kob's mother had died. Kob loved her aunt dearly." Grandpa Lumpung explained.

"Where does Aunt Narin live?"

"Bangkok"

Kob stepped out from the train and looked at the big city Bangkok. Everything was so different from ChiangMai. After about 10 minutes, she was able to find a cab and told the driver to bring her to her destination. She wasn't so sure that the address was still the same, but it was worth a shot. Once there she rang the door bell and a middle age woman came walking out of the medium size house. She was very pretty and still looked young for her age.

"Who is it?" She asked from behind the gate.

"Aunt Narin?" Kob said.

"Yes. What do you want? You look familiar..." She said with this confused look.

"Aunt Narin, it's me Kob. Don't you remember me?"

"KOB! Littly Froggy! My dear god. Look at how big you've grown" She said excitedly as she opened the gate for Kob to enter. The both of them hugged and went inside to talk, "How's your Grandparents?"

"They're fine, I guess"

"And the farm?"

"It's doing alright, I guess"

"Is it? Well..I can't believe how big you are, last time I saw you, you were only ten years old."

Aunt Narin asked Kob what it was that brought her to Bangkok. Kob told her that she had ran away and wanted to continue her education here in Bangkok. Kob then made a phone call to tell her Grandparents that she was safe and have a good place to stay. Narin also talked to her parents and informed them that she will take good care of Kob.

8 YEARS LATER......

A black Mercedes pulled up into the gate of Aunt Narin's house. Narin came out to greet the young man that stepped out of the car. He was a tall and handsome man who was neatly groomed and dressed in an expensive Gucci suit. He greeted Aunt Narin before making his way into the house.

"Kob is getting ready. So what are your plans for tonight Woot?" Aunt Narin asked.

"Dinner and something special Aunt Narin" Woot answered.

Just then a figure walked down the stairs. Woot turn to look and saw that it was Kob, she was dressed in a black V-Neck dress and flowed just a little past her knees. Her hair was curled and she had on make-up that made her look natural, yet beautiful.

"You look beautiful tonight Kob." Woot said.

"Don't I always" Kob joked.

"You do, but tonight is different"

"Is that so?" Kob said with a questioned face.

"Well, we should get going. Good night Aunt Narin" Woot said and led Kob to his car. Being the gentleman that he is, he opened the door for Kob to enter.

"Bye Auntie" Kob said before stepping in.

CHAPTER 3:

Once they reached the restaurant, Woot had booked a VIP table that was secluded from everyone else. A rather big room with the band playing a soft melody in the background. Woot than sat Kob down and they had a long talk about the past.

“Very nice Woot. You outdone yourself Kob said.

“Do you remember how we first met? Woot asked causing Kob face to change wondering why he had asked all of a sudden.

“Of course I remember. It was about 2 years ago, your company needed an interior designer to redecorate your company and of course I wanted to snatch the job since I am an interior designer after all. I needed that job to get my promotion.

“Yes and you did a wonderful job

“Well. I am the best that Five Elements Designs have

“I remember that you wouldn’t stop until I gave you the job. You basically followed me everywhere, like a stalker Woot laughed, “But I’m glad the you did or else I wouldn’t have met you and we wouldn’t be sitting here today, together

Uttsadawoot Luengsoontorn or Woot is the only son of a wealthy family. He is the heir to all of Thailand’s finest jewelry companies, Diamond Frost. The most wanted bachelor in Thailand. Girls would die to marry him because he not only got the good looks, but also a billionaire. Two years ago, Diamond Frost decided that the company need a new look, so they sought out to find the best company to do the job. Of course, Diamond Frost had already considered Five Elements Designs, but Woot decided that they also want to see if there was any other company that was just as good, if not better. For all the interior designer companies, this was the project of a lifetime. This is where Kob came in. She had been working at Five Elements Designs and she needed to get the Diamond Frost project to be able to get her promotion.

Kob smiled when suddenly Woot went by her side and got on one knee causing a shocked face on Kob. Woot reached into his suit jacket and pulled out a box, once he opened it, there was a big diamond ring inside, “Kob. I love you and I would be honored if you would become my wife. Will you marry me Kob? Woot asked.

Kob was struck and amazed at what Woot was asking her, she didn’t know what to do or say. She took a while and hesitated, something was holding her back as a tear crusaded down her cheek.

“KOB! Woot said.

“Umm…Yes

“YES Woot shouted and slipped the ring on her finger. He picked Kob up and hugged her tightly as he swung her around.

That night continued on gracefully, Woot and Kob ate, drank expensive wine, and danced to the slow songs playing. After that night was over, Woot dropped Kob off at home and called it a night, a wonderful night for Woot, but for Kob, it was something else that she couldn’t explain. Kob waved goodbye to Woot and went to wash up for bed. Though that night she couldn’t sleep. She sat on her bed thinking while she looked at the ring that was on her finger. The whole night, she laid there thinking without any sleep. The next morning Kob came walking downstairs, all dress for work. Aunt Narin had already prepared breakfast for her.

“Kob, you look like you didn’t get any sleep Aunt Narin said.

“I was up all night thinking

“About?

“This Kob said and showed Aunt Narin the diamond ring on her finger.

“KOB! You’re engaged! That’s wonderful, but why the sad look. Don’t you love Woot?

“I think I do, but something is holding me back Kob paused, “I want to go to ChiangMai, I want to visit Grandma and Grandpa. I miss them. I want them to be there when I get marry She said.

At Five Elements Designs, Kob told Chanidaporn who was the boss that she was going to take some time off to go to ChiangMai, to the SawanNalee Farm. She then walked to her office where Jui Warattaya Nikuha, her secretary and best friend came walking in with some documents. The first thing that she noticed was the huge diamond ring that was on Kob’s finger. Jui shouted with joy!

“KOB! Woot proposed! She yelled.

“Uh huh

“Wow, you’re so lucky, snatching one of the most wanted bachelor in Thailand. Do you know that you just became the envy of all girls Jui said.

“I guess so"

“Aren’t you happy?

“I am. Jui can you book me a plane ticket to ChiangMai? Kob asked.

“ChiangMai? For what?

“I’m going home for a visit Kob said.

CHIANGMAI…SawanNalee Farm

The SawanNalee Farm had changed dramatically, for the better. It was much much bigger than before. The plants and vegetables grew healthily. There were also many additions and lands that was added to the farm. There were also fields of different flowers that were just exquisite, a horse ranch was also included. The house in which Grandpa Lumpung and Grandma Nalee lived in was still the same. SawanNalee was also very well known now in ChiangMai, it has also became one of the biggest farm in the country, and a very beautiful place, very prosperous as Grandpa Lumpung had intended for it to be.

“BOSS! BOSS! Screamed, a rather short and dark man came running up to the driveway of the SawanNalee Farm House. HE waited outside until the servant there went to get the Boss for him. After a while he came walking out of the house in jeans, T-shirt, and boots. He was a rather tall and handsome man with a great muscular figure, a result from all of the hard work in the fields.

“Ding. What’s wrong? He asked.

“Boss Sir! JIEB is ready to give birth! He yelled.

“What’s all this racket about TIK? Grandpa Lumpung came walking out.

“It’s Jieb Grandpa, she’s ready to give birth Tik said.

“Really! Well go on and check it out

“Okay. Let’s go Ding. Get into the truck With that both Tik and Ding climbed into the truck and drove off.

CHAPTER 4:

It took all evening and by the time that Tik came back home, he was all dirty. Grandma Nalee told him to go shower and then to come back down for dinner.

“How’s Jieb doing? Grandpa Lumpung asked, “She is your favorite horse, isn’t she?

“Yes, she’s fine Tik answered as he took a seat.

“Tik, you’ve made wonders with this farm over the years. It has changed a lot, for the better of course. I’m glad to have you in charge and a part of this family.

“It’s my job. That’s the best that can I do for all that you’ve done for me Tik said.

“I miss KOB. If only she can see SawanNalee now Grandma Nalee said.

A silent broke out among them at the mentioning of Kob’s name. After a while Grandpa Lumpung broke the silence by telling everyone that they should eat since he was starving.

That night Woot had came over to Kob’s house for dinner, after they went outside to the yard and sat there talking. Kob finally told him that she will be taking a trip down to ChiangMai. Woot suggested that he shall go along, but Kob refused his offer, she wanted to go alone and talk to her Grandparents. Kob also knew that Woot will be busy with all his work; he was always cramped up and was always traveling to do business. She didn’t want to bother him and delay his work.

The next morning, KOb came down with her suitcases; she had 2 big ones, since she is afterall a girl of good style and fashion. Jui came to pick Kob up and took her to the airport. Kob said farewell to Aunt Narin and made her way to the airport with Jui. She had asked her Aunt to go along, but she also refused. She didn’t know how to face her parents after all these years. Once they arrived at the airport, Jui helped Kob check in and she then told her that she had booked a rented car for her in ChiangMai. “Thanks Jui, you were always the prepared one Kob said as she hugged her friend. “No problem, have fun, call me when you get there Jui said as Kob walked in the gate.

Tik went around the farm to check on the workers, there were many on the SawanNalee Farm. As he walked by, everyone greeted him, they all called him Boss. Tik was loved by almost everyone in ChiangMai, especially on the SawanNalee Farm. He was a very generous person that is always there to lend a hand and to help out the employees when they are in need. He looked after everyone as they were his family. His generosity was loved and respected by everyone. He was also known as a very hard worker or else he wouldn’t have been able to make the farm into the farm it is now. He is very handsome and sometimes he can be very quiet. He also got a sidekick name, Ding.

The plane lands and Kob walks out of the arrival gate. She walked to the baggage claim to retrieve her suitcases. After that she went to the car rental place to pick up her ride, which was a Red Infinity GS. As she drove to the farm, she would always look around the place, at how much things had changed, she had changed also. She is now much more mature and ladylike. She dresses like a city girl in expensive suits, skirts, shirts, and shoes that was fit for her occupation. As she was driving, she suddenly heard a loud ploom and the tire of her car became flat. So Kob pulled to the side and went to check the tires. She didn’t know what to do; she didn’t know how to change the tire. She was standing there frustrated when her cell phone suddenly rang. She went to answer it and it was Jui asking if she had made it safely to ChiangMai.

“I got a flat tire and I don’t know what to do Kob yelled in the phone.

“Okay, stay clam, do you know the AAA number Jui asked.

“NO, I don’t remember anything in ChiangMai

She was talking to Jui when another car stopped a bit behind hers. The person in the car came out and walked toward Kob. KOb, of course had her back to the person so she had no idea that there was someone there until he tapped her shoulder, she turned and screamed causing her cell phone to drop to the ground, but luckily he was able to save it from breaking into pieces. Jui was on the phone worried, she was yelling though the phone asking if she was alright.

CHAPTER 5:

The guy quickly moved back and bit and put his hands up to signal for Kob to calm down and he finally spoke, “It’s okay Ma’am, I’m a cop He said.

“And why should I believe you? Kob retorted back. “Now-a-days you can’t trust anyone

The man then slowly reached into his jacket to retrieve his badge for her to see, “Better now? He said while Kob nodded, “Now, I saw that you might be in some trouble there

“Hold on for a second She said and went to talk on the phone again, “Jui, I’ll call you back Kob told Jui and hung up, “My car has a flat tire She told the guy.

He then walked to her car to check out the problem, “Looks really bad, I think that it has to go into the shop. Where are you heading to? He asked her.

“SawanNalee Farm

“SawanNalee Farm, I can take you He offered.

Kob looked at him; she of course had no other choice. It was either that or stay there alone until darkness falls. She nodded and went to get her suitcase, the gentleman than came over to help her with her belongings and placed it in back of his Jeep. Kob went inside the passenger side and he drove away, on the ride there Kob remained silent.

“So why are you heading to SawanNalee He asked finally trying to break the silence that was there.

“Oh, nothing much, for a visit

“Oh..Sorry, I didn’t get your name yet. I’m Arnas Lapanich He said with a smile.

“Kob Suvanant

After a while, they came across fields of beautiful flowers, Arnas told Kob that it belonged to SawanNalee. KOb looked around as he drove. After a while, they finally entered the gate into the farm as Kob looked on in amazement, “SawanNalee have changed a lot She said.

“It has, it’s the best and one of the biggest here in ChiangMai. It ranges from these flower fields to the fruit fields, there’s also vegetable fields, and a horse ranch inside, many more He explained as he drove up to the cabin, the servant came out to greet them.

“Captain Lapanich, what brings you here today? The female servant asked.

“SawanNalee have a visitor today Arnas told the servant as he looks toward the passenger side seeing Kob just sitting there like she’s in a daze.

Kob’s legs have became frozen, she couldn’t move nor could she get out of the car. She just sat there looking at the house, the house that she grew up in and abandon when she was seventeen years old. Everything about SawanNalee had changed, but the house still looked the same. Good old memories came flooding back, like flashes of light it came before her eyes. She was immediately brought back to reality when Arnas came knocking on the window. She slowly opened the door and stepped out; she stood there looking at the place before her eyes as a chill came down her spine. The servant then took both arnas and Kob into the house and into the living room. The servant then went out to tell someone to get Grandpa Lumpung and Grandma Nalee.

“Where are Grandpa and Grandma? Kob asked the servant when she bought out refreshments for them.

“Oh, they’re out in the grape field with Boss. I sent someone to get them already so they should be here in a bit

As Kob waited there, she walked around the place looking at the pictures. She held a couple picture of her Grandparents as her eyes became watery and that was went they came in, “Captain Arnas, What brings you here today The deep voice of Grandpa Lumpung echoed through the room.

“I brought SawanNalee a visitor He answered.

“Who? Grandpa Lumpung said as he gazed over to the woman who was facing the other way.

Kob quickly wipes her tears away and slowly turned around to face her Grandpa, “Grandpa she said softly as she walked closer to him.

“Kob, Little Kob Grandpa Lumpung said slowly.

Kob went closer to him and got down on the ground where she gave her Grandpa a traditional bowing to his feet, Grandpa Lumpung smiled and bend down to hug her. That as when GrandMa Nalee walked in, “Who’s here Lumpung She said.

Kob looked up from the floor and moved toward her Grandma and did the same traditional bow to her feet, “Grandma. It’s me KOb

“KOB Grandma Nalee gasped and went to embrace her, both crying and saying how much they have missed each other.

After a while, Grandpa suggested that the servant bring Kob’s belongings up to her room while they went to talk. Arnas was still there shocked at the scene. Grandpa Lumpung explained to him about Kob’s relation to them, it brought a smile to his face now knowing that Kob was their granddaughter and that he can now come to see her again anytime.

“I can’t believe how much you have grown. You have grown into a beautiful and mature woman Grandma Nalee said as she stroke Kob’s hair.

“I’m sorry for what I did back then

“It’s okay; at least you’re back now. How long are you planning to stay? Grandpa asked.

“I don’t know yet. I can’t believe how much this farm have changed, but this house is still the same

“Grandpa wanted this house to be like it was; he didn’t want to build a new one. All this and the farm is all Tik’s work

Kob’s face went blank when she heard Tik's name. In her mind there were many things that were running through, “He’s still here? He’s still married…to Jieb then

“Speaking of Tik, where is he? Arnas asked.

“Somewhere in the fields, he’s always working or doing something.

In the kitchen, the servants got together to gossip about the news of SawanNalee’s only granddaughter. They talked about Kob’s arrival back to the farm. They all asked if she was pretty and nice. Soon they all followed each other out to try and catch a glimpse of her. While they were doing so, they all fell on one another. Grandpa Lumpung saw it and told them to come in so they can be introduced to his granddaughter. Kob greeted all of them as they stared at her smiling. Kob looked at herself to see if something was wrong with her because the servants wouldn’t stop looking at her.

“Okay, go back to work! Grandpa said as they all left, “It’s nothing Kob. They never seen you before that’s why

“Miss Kob is becoming quite an object here Arnas added.

“Can I go take a look around the farm? Kob asked.

“Of course honey

“Let Arnas accompany you around Grandpa said. “I have to go take care of some business and Grandma I think wants to go into the kitchen

Grandma Nalee smiled, “You read my mind. My granddaughter is back so I have to make something myself.

Kob nodded and Arnas led her out. They walked down the driveway and down the pathways passing by fields of flowers. Arnas kept stealing glances at Kob as they walked.

“Thank you for your Help today Captain Lapanich Kob told him.

“No problem and just Arnas is fine He said smiling.

CHAPTER 6:

All the while, Tik was busy at the grape field helping the workers pick the grapes. After a while, Ding came running down yelling at the top of his lungs, “Boss! Boss!

Tik turned around with an annoyed face, “What not Ding?

“Captain Lapanich is heading this way with a woman. All I can say is that she is beautiful, I’ve never seen her before. Let me tell you this Boss, she’s a goddess that was sent down from heaven. Seeexxy! Ding said.

Tik slapped Ding from the back of his head, “Shut up Ding and go work in the fields or something. Everytime you see a pretty girl, your hormones goes wild.

“Boss, look! They’re coming. I hope she falls on that heels of hers so I can go catch her and break her fall Ding said mesmorized.

From afar Tik watch as Arnas made his way with the myserious woman behind him, “What kind of freaking girl walks in a farm in skirts and heels. She really should fall and break her legs! Tik whispered to himself.

“You said something Boss? Ding asked.

“Nothing

Arnas walked with Kob to the grape field, Kob looked around the place seeing all the changes of the farm. “Look there’s Tik’s car. Let’s go Arnas said.

“Ummm…Let’s go see something else Kob suggested.

“Come on. It’s nothing He said and walked to where Tik was leaving Kob with no choice, but to follow Arnas.

Kob stayed a few feet behind Arnas, she was walking slowly because she was afraid and nervous to meet Tik once again. Even though she knew that she had missed him and wanted to see his face again, but something inside her made her nervous and the fact that she couldn’t forget what he had done to her, all the pain that he had caused her to feel. Bits of anger was beginning to boil up inside her.

“Tik, buddy. How are you doing? Arnas asked.

“Fine, who’ s the girl? Girlfriend? Tik asked as he tried to look at the person who was standing behind Arnas.

“This, well it’sArnas said and moved aside.

It seemed like the time suddenly froze, there he was right in front of her. He was the same, looked the same, but to her he had gotten more handsome and built, maybe it was because of all the farm work. It had turned him into looking so masculine. He was dressed in jean and t-shirt. It was normal farm attire, but it made it look just breath taking. Tik stared at Kob, he was unable to take his eyes away. She has gotten more mature and beautiful. She was just elegant in the way she walked and the way she stared at him. As for Ding, he was basically drooling at the beautiful goddess that was standing in front of him.

“Kob He said quietly, “Kob, you’re back…

“You look surprised to see me Tik She said coldly “I see that you haven’t changed a bit, still the same She said to him even though she knew that he did change.

“You guys know each other? Arnas asked.

“Knew each other, of course. We basically grew up together. Kob said as she stared at Tik with such disgust and anger.

Arnas was about to say something when his cell phone rang, he moved aside to talk and after a bit he excused himself because the station needed him back as soon as possible. He said his good-bye to Kob and TIk and hurried out leaving both Kob and Tik standing there.

"Boss, who's the goddess?" Ding asked.

Tik elbowed Ding, "It's Grandpa Lumpung and Grandma Nalee's granddaughter Miss Kob Suvanant, now stop drooling and go back to work. Stop looking at her like that Ding before your eyes goes blind."

Ding immediately greeted Kob and quickly said goodbye and left. Kob continue to stare at Tik, "WHat's that supposed to mean?"

"What?"

"WHat you said to that worker, what was his name? Ding or something"

"WHat did I say?"

"Argh! Forget it. I can't believe you did all this to SawanNalee. It has changed so much"

"When did you get here Kob?"

"DOes it matter. Are you that shock to see me? WHere's your wife?"

"Why?"

"Fine, don't tell me. I'm going back, it's getting way too hot here. You haven't changed a bit Tik" KOb said as she turned to walk away. SHe decided that she had to be mean to him so she can show him that she had moved on. She wasn't that stupid little girl anymore and for sure she was not in love with him either now.

"Becareful on those heels of yours. Don't fall now Kobby" Tik said.

Kob turned around and gave him a dirty look. SHe then continued to walk back not seeing the rock that was on the ground. Kob stepped on it and tripped causing her to fall down on her butt. Tik stood her laughing which made Kob furious. Tik then made his way toward her and went to help her up.

"Don't touch me" Kob yelled and pushed him away.

"Do you want to sit there. Look, the workers are staring at you" Tik said and handed her his hand.

KOb gazed around and slapped his hand away, "I can get up myself. I don't need your help" Kob tried to get up, but it only caused her to fall back down. Tik shook his head and went ahead to pick her up and carried her back to the house. Kob was screaming and struggling in Tik's arms for him to put her back down, but he wouldn't, "You changed Kob. But your stubborn attitude is still the same" he told her.

CHAPTER 7:

Tik walked into the living room still carrying Kob in his arms. He looked into her eyes and couldn’t help but smile, for a moment there they stared into each other eyes. Kob quickly turned away when she felt her heart ache, but yet in a happy way. Kob quickly shifted her mood and yelled at Tik once again because he still had her in his arms.

“Are you gonna put me down?” She yelled.

Instead of putting Kob down gently Tik just dropped her on the sofa, she began to yell and cursed at him, when he walked out, Kob sat there looking at the big doorway thinking that he had left and was not going to come back.

“Jerk!” she murmured.

“What’s that I hear?” Tik asked as he walked back in the room.

KOb just brushed it off saying that she did not say anything, Tik then began to walk closer to her, the closer he got the more she began to move back not knowing what it is he was going to do to her, “What are you doing?” she yelled.

“Relax. I’m not gonna rape you if that’s what you’re thinking. I brought you some medicine for your ankle.” Tik said as he went to rub the medicine on her ankle gently. KOb sat there and looked at him.

“You know this is a farm, walking around in heels will hurt you”

“Whatever. I don’t really care. This is how I like to dress; I’ve become accustomed to it. SO tell me Tik, how did you manage to make SawanNalee so prosperous?”

“Determination and hard work. After you left, all I did was work on this farm day and night.”

There was a moment of silence between the two and once again they looked at each other, but was shattered when Grandma Nalee walked in, “KOb, what’s wrong?”

“I fell Grandma at the grape field.”

“Are you alright?”

“Yes, I’m fine”

“That’s good. I see that you met Tik again already. Why don’t you go wash up, rest, and come down for dinner”

Kob walked into her room to see that everything was still the same. It was cleaned and it seemed that no one came to move anything. Everything was still where she had left it 8 years ago. Kob laid on her bed and looked at WOot’s engagement ring. In her mind, confusion was running through, should I tell them now? She didn’t have the answer to that question. She didn’t know what to do, was she afraid? Soon, she found herself falling asleep on the bed that she has not touched in years, but there was an odd feeling to the bed. It didn’t feel old or unused, it seemed like there was a present there that was left behind in her room that was warm and happy, full of love.

Nam sat at this desk at the station, he thought back of the little memory that he had with Kob as a smile crept upon his face.

Grandma Nalee had a servant go up to Kob’s room to get her for dinner. The servant then came back down that told everyone that KOb would not open the door. Grandpa had Tik go with the spare key. Tik did so and saw that Kob was sound asleep and since he did not want to wake her, he stood there for a while and stared at her, “Heavy sleeper I see. Some one is in her room and she doesn’t even realize it.”

Tik then went back downstairs and told everyone that Kob had fallen asleep. That night, Kob woke up; she was feeling very hungry because she had not eaten anything all day. So she had no choice but to go into the kitchen to find something to eat. She was looking and rumbling through when the lights suddenly turned on causing her quite a scare. She looked to see no other than Tik standing with a grin on his face.

“TIK! What the hell” she yelled quietly not wanting to wake anyone up.

“What are you doing?” he asked.

“I should as you that, why aren’t you asleep?”

“I don’t usually fall asleep at this hour so when I heard noises I came out to check it, could have been burglars. What are you doing?”

“What the hell does it look like I’m doing? I’m hungry, haven’t got anything food in my stomach all day.”

“Really, to say that I thought you turned into an anorexic” he said sarcastically and began to chuckle knowing that he had gotten on her nerves again and began to once again walk towards her, “you’re a heavy sleeper you know that, I was in your room and you didn’t even know that. Quite a dangerous habit”

“You…you were in my room! What the hell did you do?” she said crossing her arm across her chest.

“Don’t worry too much, I didn’t do anything. Here, let me make you something to eat.”

Tik went over to the stove and began to make her some noodles. KOb stood there and looked at him as he did so. After a bit, KOb sat down on the table that was located in the kitchen. TIk placed the bowl of noodle on the table for her. He then handed her the chopsticks; after he went to pour a cup of water and coffee for himself. Tik then just sat there in front of Kob and stared at her while she ate causing her to feel very uncomfortable.

"What are you looking at?" she asked.

"Nothing" he chuckled and drank his coffee.

"SO what did you do after I left this farm?"

TIk sat there and explained to KOb about the past years, all the things he did for the farm as KOb sat there and listened.

"How about your wife, Jieb. Haven't seen her yet, where is she?"

TIk became quiet, "I'll take you to visit her some day"

"Isn't she here with you?"

"NO, here let me wash your dish and you can go to sleep some more." Kob looked at him and shoved her dish to him and left the kitchen.

CHAPTER 8:

The next day Grandpa Lumpung told Kob to ask Tik to take her to the market since Kob wanted to buy some personal products to use. Kob didn’t want to ask, but since she had no choice because her car was still in the auto shop, she had to ask. Kob walked outside to look for Tik who was standing on the driveway talking to Ding.

“Tik, I need to go to the store. Is it possible for you to take me there?” She asked.

“Umm….”

“You know what, forget it. I didn’t want to ask you in the first place. I knew that you would be like that. Grandpa told me to ask and I have no other choice.” She said. “I should call Nam” she added making Tik’s expression change quickly.

“I didn’t say that I wouldn’t bring you. Let’s go, get in the car”

KOb followed Tik to the car; he was trying to be a gentleman by opening the front passenger door for her, but instead of going in, Kob went into the back. Tik just looked at her and closed the door and climbed into the driver’s side. The drive there seemed long and quiet, Tik kept sneaking looks at Kob through the rearview mirror, “Be careful going around dressed like that” he finally said to her.
“Why? What’s wrong with the way I dress? I’m used to it”

“Okay my lady. Whatever you say”

“Excuse me, who’s your lady?” Kob said annoyed while Tik just laughed it off.

They finally arrived at the market, Kob rolled down the window not wanting to go out, “Is there no nig stores that not like that, out in the open? Stores with air conditioners?”

“This is CHiangMai, not Bangkok. What do you expect?”

“Well, I would thought that it would change over the years”

Tik then went to open the door for her, “You’re here, your majesty”

“Shut up Tik”

Tik walked with Kob to look for her things, as she walked through the people there would star and look at her, maybe it was the way she was dress and have never seen her before. Maybe it was because they didn’t recognize her as the little girl that left 8 years ago. Kob told Tik that she needed some shampoo and soap so Tik brought her to where that was sold. The lady selling it greeted him and asked if Kob was his girlfriend, TIk smiled as Kob shouted NO. Kob looked at the products and asked if there was any name brand shampoo like Pantene Pro-V. IT was the only thing that she can use and had only used, but they didn’t have it. Tik told her that any shampoo was fine. After that they went and brought some body soap and other things.

Somewhere in the market, a group of guys were running and chasing a small figure dressed in jeans, T-shirt, and a cap. They ran shouting when suddenly the one running from the group of guys accidentally bumped right into Kob, she fell and Tik helped hold onto Kob so she wouldn’t fall on the ground. The group of guys came and tried to get the person who had also fell onto the ground, but TIk yelled and chased them away because he had already knew who it was that was running and bumped into Kob.

“Jiranun Manojam! Get up from the ground” Tik yelled as the person did as she was told.

”P’Tik, what are you doing here?”

“Watch where you are going next time, why don’t you…”Kob said as she stared at the girl who looked more like a tomboy trying to see her face clearly.

“Yui, I told you not to cause any more trouble. Why must you go mess with those gangsters wannabe?”

“It wasn’t my fault, they started it”

“Jiranun Manojam” Kob thought to herself, “sounds like….Yui!” Kob finally yelled.

“What? Who is that P’Tik?”

“This is Kob remember”

“Kob…P’Kob! Oh my GOD..look at you, where did to disappear to?”

“Let’s go home. You too Yui. I promised your sister to take care of you.”

Kob smiled atvYui who was her friend that she used to play with when she was little. Yui was two year younger that her, but still they were pretty close with each other when they were young. Tik then brought Yui back home with them because Yui have also been living in the SawanNalee Farm for quite a while now.

I noticed that the fan fiction thread is flooded with Ch3 celebrities not much of Ch7. I am not very fond of Kob, Woot, or Jui, but I enjoy the story. Keep it coming. And am I too late to congratulate and wish you the very best for your wedding/future with your new family. =)
