After "Today is Better than Two Tomorrows" documentary film, I would like to promote a book which will be released next month :

I've been busy lately helping the author of this book to publish it... ^_^ It is his new 2nd Edition, enlarged with more than 300 words.

Lots of day-to-day "Lao" words have their root from Pali and/or Sanskrit such as: (the follow examples are extracted from the book)

as in "Luerd Khatthiya" lakorn

... or words that are used as ppl. name:

ANAN- (like the beginning of my name ):

-DETH (suffix commonly used after a name, including mine or... as in K. TerraDeth lol )

All lao words are translated into French & English.

this is very interesting. i've been trying to get a hold of that documentary "Today is Better than Two Tomorrows", even emailed the film maker. but haven't got a response. do u know if she made the dvd release yet? or where can i get a hold of this documentary?

As far as i know, they didn't release on DVD yet... but screen only in different festivals around the world.
Last month, the film was screened at Luang Prabang festival (http://www.gabrielshaya.com/Luang_Prabang_Film_Festival/Program.html) where Alexandra B. opened the film: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=32860&id=159074347449038&l=17245e6f37
