I think there was once a thread about this. I tried going back 5 pages and got tired. Here are some overly used Thai words in lakorn titles. Of course we know the number 1 used word- รัก "ruk" love: Ruk Prakasit, Ruk Tur Took Wan, Mafia Tee Ruk, Jam Luey Ruk, Nee Ruk, Atitarn Ruk, Tard Ruk Taronong, Poot Ruk Namo, Mon Ruk Lottery, Mon Ruk Kao Tom Mud, Oum Ruk, Pom Ruk Roy Adeed, Buang Ruk Gammatep, Liam Rukand you get the point lol

กามเทพ “gammatep/kammathep” (cupid)
Buang Ruk Gammatep, Likit Gammatep, Tang Pan Gammatep, Jam Luey Gammatep, Gammatep Tep Tua Noi, Kat Ta gorn Gammatep, Guan Gammatep, Fai Gammatep

หัวใจ “hua jai” (heart excluding feelings/emotions such as jing jai meaning sincere/honest, thok jai meaning shocked/startled etc)
Hua Jai Sila, Ruk Nee Hua Jai Rao Jung, Hua Jai Chocolate, Hua Jai Song Park, Hua Jai Toranong, Girl Club Rub Hua Jai Sai Peur Tou, Likit Hua Jai, Pin Din Hua Jai, Rahud Hua Jai, Saeng Dao Nai Hua Jai, Sang Dai Hang Hua Jai, Tahan Ying Hua Jai Waew, Wong Wian Hua Jai

ตะวัน /ฟ้า/ดิน “tawan/fah/din” (sun/sky/earth) there is some words that make it a different meaning. Nang fah=angel, paen din=land/country/kingdom etc. A lakorn would have at least one of the word above in their lakorn or even two or all of them lol

ดอก/กุหลาบ “dok/kulap” (flower/rose)

ดาว “dao” (star)

จ้าวสาว "jao sao" (bride)
Jao Sao Prissana, Jao Sao Ban Rai, Jao Sao Katan Han, Jao Sao Song Ngao, Jao Sao Klua Fon, Jao Sao Sai Fah Lab

สะใภ้ "sapai" (female relative by marriage/daughter-in-law) Sapai Klai Peun Tiang, Sapai Lookthoong, Sapai Tonardo, Sapai Kon Klua, Keuy Yai Sapai Lek, Sapai Part Time, Sapai Kafak

These are the most common ones I see.

let's get to overly use name now
I say Tawan is the most overly used name.

Nicknames doesn't count lol such as Lin= Narin, Alin, Palin, Linda, etc.

Any more beside the ones I listed lol

It is a must used term in lakorn. Without, you can't call it a lakorn lmao... I should use it more often in my everyday speech...

This is fun because I am learning Thai on my own. I got about 15-18 of the alphabet memorized.

LOL this is funny stuff!...funfun what you listed are so true.

what is more overly used, are ones after they run out of titles to put (ie rak****, sapai****, hua jai****). they used the n'ek/p'ek name as the title. there were so many but yet i cant even think of one ATM. *doh  (oh i thought of one..nang I or however it is spelt.)

How about I changed this thread to Let's Learn Thai lol

Anyways I was looking in a phrase book and is there another Thai word for eat? I don't have the phrase book with me, but I believe it was the word "taan" used instead of "kin" I can't give the Thai font since I am not using my home computer.

กิน (kin) - Eat, drink
ทาน (taan) - Formal of eat, drink
รับประทาน (rap pra taan) - ridiculously formal of eat, drink
There's also another that is a rude term for eating, heh. Starts with a D!

Thanks Kudaranai. When is it mandatory to use "taan" instead of "kin"

I want to start constructing sentences but I don't know enough vocabs and grammar rules. And it is difficult since I have no one to practice with. And I have no clue if I am pronouncing them correctly.
