i totally missed it. my aunt told me about Miss USA. I thought that's hilarious and USA still makes at least top 15 every year. I wonder why sometimes. I do hate how some Latin countries always win. I swear I hear Puerto Rico every time I watch it. As for Vietnam, they aren't in it every year right?? Were they in it last year?

i think when it comes to natural beauty, asians are deffinitely the most gorgeous..cause it seems like most asian women age slowly...and so theres no need for any surgery

anyways..i was hoping for more asian representation this year..but i guess the latinas and europeans will always have the upper hand

Latin Countries are pageant powerhouses so no surprises.
As for Miss Thailand, she was pretty but nothing about her really stood out to me. If you watched her performances and walks, she is not "lively". Her walks are...sorry to admit this but...boring. If she was to be more bubbly and lively like Miss Venezuela, I'm pretty sure that she will have shine. I personally do not like Miss Venezuela, I thought that she was kinda "fake". Her answer to the final question was so off track. She did not even answered the question right. I think that the reason why she won is because of her bubbliness and liveliness. Not to mention fierce and out there, Miss Thailand seems like a nice girl next door bring her home to mama type of girl.

Is it me only that noticed that they cut the showtime shorter this year. I mean, normally, they chose five than after that they would choose three. After chosing three, they would asked one woman each a question, while the other women are in a class box with an earphone on so that they can hear wat other are saying..

Anyways, I don't even know why the ladies bother of answering their questions in English when they're not even good at it. I can't really understood wat they were saying..I guess they just wanted to show off their skill.. <_<

I felt the same way, I wanted either Thailand or Korea to win too. I'm
happy Miss Thailand won best outfit/costume. I loved the colors<3

I feel Miss Universe is bias most of the time anyways, after they announced the 15,
I stopped watching, lmao.

Thailand has won twice. Apasra Hongsakula won in 1965. Pontip Nakhirunkanok won in 1988.

Most of the titleholders are Latinas because the judges judge them based on the beauty standard of their own countries, i guess. Most of the judges each year are not Asian...they're white/Caucasian or Latino.

In 1988, the pageant took place in Taiwan. Four of the five semi-finalists were Asian. 1st runner-up was from Korea. 2nd runner-up Mexico, 3rd runner-up Japan, and 4th runner-up Hong Kong.
