Party like its 1999!!!

Actually it's $20. That's the cover charge for The Highlands on
Friday night, July 13th. And, the LAJCC Scholarship fund will receive
half of that cover charge to help fund additional college
scholarships. Scholarship Committee Chair Lisa Chong has put together
an opportunity to encourage LAJCC members to attend one of LA's
hottest clubs and help a deserving community college student go on to
a four year college.

The Highlands Hollywood is a one of a kind nighttime experience
featuring some of the best panoramic views in Hollywood. The
Highlands is a 30,000 square foot, multi-level venue containing The
Highlands Nightclub. The club features LA's hottest DJ's, sweeping
balconies with views of the entire LA basin, plush lounges, and
beautiful indoor & outdoor dining areas.

You must purchase your ticket for the cover charge in advance online
at our website: www.lajcc.org.

So, plan to come for the music, raffle prizes, dancing and the good
feeling you get from knowing you've helped a great cause the LAJCC
Scholarship fund!

All right fine. Since D is spamming, I'll tag along with her spam, so that I'm not making a new thread. This has been happening all week since Wednesday. But if you guys are around the area, check it out. It's a HUGE event thrown by the Smithsonian Institute. Also, recently they decided they're going to have a Lao exhibition in one of their museums. Don't remember the details though. The festival seeks to expose people to different cultures every year. This year, they're featuring cultures developed around the Mekong River (Lao, Thai, Khmer, and Yunnan). Go here for more info.

And since I have no life at the current moment, you might just see your friendly neighborhood monkey king wandering around the festival. I'll be the one drinking beer to stay cool and stealing the kids' Thai Shadow Puppets. After all, I don't believe in promoting events I don't go to myself. However, this doesn't mean I'll say hi to you though. For the most part, I'll probably tell you to quit bugging me if you're trying to chat with me while I'm watching a show.
