^you need to convert the video to ipod format -- which is mp4, with this, you can use CINEMAFORGE, it's a freeware.
as for picture on ipod, you can only use it as a USB FLASH DRIVE unless, you're thinking of using it as song id, then you can do that through the newest version of itune by dragging the picture to the SPECIFIC song/track.
