Trust me when I say Masked Love is everyone’s cup of tea, but you, like me, are lazy and only care for the juicy sex thrill scenes. My original version is hounded with distracting semi-irrelevant details that can do without and it’s not that simple, quick read that will peak your interest at the beginning. I want to present you with an action-pack, easy-over, and VVVIP version that will get you past the jargon to the greatness in between. Therefore I spliced and edited an (22 DOWN TO 14 CHAPS) abridged version that can still give the whole six-pack punch of Masked Love. The ending chapters are almost identical. Enjoy!

Five years later, as his secretary, she saw his spark died due to his marital issues. One day, Jessadaporn came to her drunk, asking her to take him to the airport to ask Ploy to come back to him. But instead, Usamanee took advantage of his vulnerability and gave herself to him to only be rejected her afterwards. He mistakes her as the old flirt and kidnaps her to threaten the truth from her, but their little roll ends with her being stabbed. In the emergency room, Grandma finds out that Ploy is pregnant, and she plays godmother to get her son back home by replacing him as the CEO with Ploy and names Ploy as the only beneficiary of her will. But again he overlooked Usamanee and now everything is too late. He vows to change back to the sweet Jessadaporn and wait for the day they meet again.

CHAPTER 1:
She knew that the moment he landed on top of her, she should’ve pushed him away. Or resisted in the least bit, but she didn’t. The five years of being his secretary and watching him from afar and keeping her feeling professional was coming undone. And the moment he started to kiss and touch her, she liked it. She longed for it, and she wanted more. She wanted everything. Yes, she knew that he was drunk. Yes, she knew that he was hurting. Yes, she knew that he was acting without any sense. Yes, she knew that she is going to regret this. But for tonight, she wanted to be loved back.

She stroked him in equal desire as he positioned himself before her most precious womanhood. She has never felt so right in her life. The second he entered her, she felt that he was finally hers—completely. Her body did things she never imagined in her many fantasies of making love with him. After his explosive release, her body surrendered in passion, and blissful firework rippled throughout her.

He dropped down on top of her, his head lowered to the hallow of her neck. She felt his breathing slow down and just like knives to her heart, he said in a strained voice, “This is a mistake.” Just like that, she knew it was over. Regrets and tears blurred her vision. He lifted his sweat-covered body off her and started fixing his clothes.

She sat up on the bed, her tears streaming out uncontrollably. “Je, I love you.”

He was already all haphazardly dressed. He turned back to face her, “You knew that Ploy and I am fighting again and that she was leaving today. I was stupid to be drinking the days away, I should had instead race to her to make up with her. So I called you. I TOLD YOU! I told you I had to catch Ploy.” He looked at Usamanee in disgust, “I was going to ask her stay and to not take that job just to get at me for being mad at her. I can ever be mad at her. I can’t live without her. YOU KNEW. I told you to take me to the airport. I was drunk. I called you because I trusted you to bring me there, but you brought me here instead.” He raked his hair with his fingers, “And you took advantage of my confusion.” He just shut up and turned his back to her. “I don’t ever want to see you again.” With those last words, he opened the door and walked out, leaving her to cry in the dark.
--
Usamanee couldn’t contain herself. One moment of her selfishness had cost her everything. She had cost him the time to reconcile with his wife. She had cost him the happiness he so deserved. And now he hated her. Usamanee looked at the clock hanging on the wall, and she suddenly wiped her tears. She quickly grabbed her clothes and started to dress, trying hard to not notice the blood stain on her inner thigh.
--
Jessadaporn was speeding on the way to the airport, and he pumped the accelerator, going faster that the hard rain that was plastering the windshield. In his mind, he has the concrete picture of his wife’s beautiful face and how he will make it right again with her, but something was causing that image to blur, and suddenly, the picture inside of him changed. Suddenly, he stepped on his brake. He needed to go find her right now, before everything is too late.
--
Usamanee ran out of the taxi soaked wet and raced into the airport, sprinting past the clock that reads 1:15 to the information desk.

“Has the Flight to America at 1:20 leave.”

“No ma’am, it’s raining here, but up north, there’s a storm warning. The Flight is actually just starting to board.”
Usamanee’s heart pounded as she decided what to do. She is going to get on that plane and convince Ploy to come back. Jessadaporn can hate her, but she loves him. And she can’t stand to see him broken. Her mind was made up. Usamanee looked at the worker, “Get me a ticket on that flight.”
--
Ploy twisted the annoying ring on her finger. She looked out to the rain outside the tiny airplane window. Was Jessaporn crying over her leaving him? Ploy let out a laugh, and she took the ring off. “What was I thinking still wearing this piece of crap?” Then suddenly, she saw a wet and disshelved woman in front of her.

Usamanee stood on the floor beside Ploy’s first class seat. “Khun Ploy, you can’t leave.”

“Usa…Usamanee, right? Did Khun Jessada die of a broken heart for you to be here like this?” She laughed, “Wait, wait. Or did you come on your own accord?”

“Khun Ploy, listen to me. Khun Pholdee loves you with his life. He was trying to catch you and make up with you. Don’t go.”

“So where is he now?” Ploy raised her brows, “I guess it’s not our fate.” Then Ploy looked straight at Usamanee and smiled mockingly. “But I have to say that your fate with him is even more unfortunate.”

“What are you talking about?”

Ploy laughed more, “I knew it from the first day that you had a crush on Jessada, but he had his eyes all on me. Don’t you think it’s funny? He thought I love him, but no, he is just a liability to my career. Every time we fight he always come begging like a puppy. He loved me all those years, overlooking you who truly loved him. What a fool. As a matter of fact,” Ploy grabbed Usamanee’s hand and placed the ring onto her open palm, “Do take care of him. I don’t want his death on my conscious.”

“No. No. He loves you only. I beg of you, don’t break him. Please, don’t—“

Usamanee didn’t get to finish her word, as another landing plane’s wheel malfunctioned causing the plan to veer off course and crash into their plane cutting Usamanee short of her impossible attempt to convince Ploy to return but giving Usamanee a twist of fate that will give her the possibility to pursue the one she unrequitedly loved.

CHAPTER 2:
--
Jessadaporn was outside in the rain, soaking wet, as he let the rain hit him, as if they can wash away his ruthlessness. His car parked crookedly in the curb in front of him. He looked down to the river below him on the bridge. Damn, what have he done? Then his phone started to ring. He quickly picked it up, hoping it’s her. But after listening to the news on the other line, he rushed to his car, zooming off like it’s the end of the world.
--
Usamanee woke up to the voices of urgent doctors.

One announced, “She is consciousness now.”

“Khun Ploy Pholdee. Please don’t be alarm, you’re safe.”

Usamanee flinched, what’s going on? Why is she being called Ploy Pholdee?

“Don’t move, you just had surgery.” The Doctor took her hand and said in a soothing voice, “You have survived the crash with minimal injury. You will heal to be as before don’t worry, Khun Ploy. We will take good care of you.”

Usamanee started to fight and wail in rebellion. She brought her bandage hands to her face, trying to rip the bandage on her face off. She wanted to see them—no she wanted them to see her. They have mistaken her, she is not Ploy Pholdee!

The Doctors grabbed her hands, “Khun Ploy, I know you’re in shock, but don’t worry. The explosion on the plane only burned your face superficially. But you are lucky; you are the one of the 27 survivors. You will heal completely. Don’t worry about your face, your husband had contacted the best plastic surgeon to reconstruct your face to exactly it was before. Just as flawless like you are famous for.” He rubbed her hands, “Your husband is giving you the best. You are truly blessed.”

Usamaee broke out in a fit, ripping the bandages off her face. The alarmed doctors pinned her down and sedated her. “She’s in shock. Her husband is coming to…” Usamanee dozed to the influence of the drug.
--
Usamanee decided to give up. Before when she woke up, she broke into the same fit and got sedated again. And when she woke again, her wrists were tied to the bed rails. She had resorted to accepting the fact that she cannot do anything. She heard the doctor tell her of their plastic surgery reconstruction, and how her scabs are peeling and how good she is doing.
--
After the plastic surgery, she remained bandaged, and after weeks, the doctor unwrapped her, but her eyes remained bandaged. And her plastic face started to merge with her growing skin and her eardrums started to heal. A metal clip was put into her trachea, so she remained unable to talk. She wanted to write to tell the doctors that she was not Ploy, but she couldn’t bring herself to. What was more scary was the evil something was holding her back. She was feeling that same selfishness she did that night when she had throw herself at Jessadaporn knowingly that he was acting subconsciously with his drunken and hurt state of losing Ploy. She hated herself for even letting the thought of her taking Ploy’s identity and living as Ploy to receive the love she so yearn for by Jessadaporn, but she knew that she was not Ploy and can never replace Ploy. Each day, she rehearsed those lines she was going to confess to Jessadaporn that she was not Ploy and that in fact she was Usamanee who he never wanted to see and hated. But he never came to visit her. And that perplexed Uamanee most of all. The doctor told her that Jessadaporn was busy but he arranged all of her care. What had happened to Jessadaporn? Did he don’t care for Ploy anymore? Finally after two months, her face, hearing, and health recovered completely and her doctor agreed that it was time for her release.
--
“Khun Ploy, your recovery had been faster then I outlined. Your reconstructed face looks completely natural and everything else is as nothing had happened…but I need to ask again about your memory blanks. We have been going through a series of questions to retrieve some of them. As time goes on, you will gradually get those blanks back.” The doctor assured.

Usamanee nodded her head. She had lied to the doctor that she couldn’t remember some events in her life. Usamanee knew everything about Ploy from her life events to her likes and character. She had been the one Jessadaporn ask to do research on Ploy when he wanted to hit on Ploy. And throughout their dating, engagement, and marriage, she studied Ploy, trying to finding out all there is to the women that Jessadaporn loved. Usamanee was jealous of Ploy and she worked hard to try to be like the more elegant and mature Ploy but can never act on it. Just like before, she couldn’t embody the person Ploy was. And she found it very hard to act in character of Ploy, so for her slip ups, she blamed that she can’t really remember some events in her life and things about her or she catches herself and change to handle the situation like what Ploy would have. So she lied to her doctor that she is having some memory blanks for her bipolarness.

“Next, I removed the stilt we inserted in your throat, so you will be talking again soon. Your eyes did not suffer much damage, but I just wanted to be safe that’s why I decided to keep them warp longer. I have scheduled constant appointments for vocal therapy and follow-ups and the nurse will give the schedule to you as she checks you out. Do you have any questions or concern you have to discuss with me?”

Usamanee shook her head. Then she noticed the incriminating wedding ring on her finger that had identified her as Ploy. The nurse had told her the story of Usamanee being rescue from the first class seat that was Ploy’s, clenching the ring in her hand. That’s how she was mistaken as Ploy. The nurse gave the ring to her, and she had been eager to put in on. It was the object that symbolized the bond between Ploy and Jessadaporn and it was the thing Usamanee will never get. She doesn’t know why she is wearing it like she was the owner. Then she slowly worked her voice to ask, “Is Khun Jessadaporn here yet?” The nurse had told her that Jessadaporn was going to pick her up.

“Yes, I already briefed Khun Jessadaporn on your condition. He was very pleased that you have recovered. Your husband signed to acknowledge your release and picked up your medications already. He’s meeting you in the front desk to check out.” The doctor smiled, ending their conversation, and Ploy followed the nurse out into the lobby.

CHAPTER 3===============================================================

Usamanee entered the lobby, and she saw Jessadaporn for the first time since he walked out and said he never wanted to see her again. He was handsome as always and she felt that selfish feeling again, making her think of not confessing her true identity and indulge in her opportunity to be love by Jessadaporn. She found herself smiling at the thought of being his wife, but as he saw her, his face went stern and she pushed away her selfish, impossible fantasy. No matter what she had to confess. “Jessadaporn…I have something important to tell you. Can we tal—.”

She was cut short. “Talk about the divorce?” Jessadaporn offered then laughed. “You won’t even wait until we leave the hospital to start your talk on divorcing me? You’re impressive Ploy. Are you angry that this little tragedy delayed your desperation to be free of me so you can get back in the market?”

Usamanee was confused, “What are you talking about?”

“Why don’t we leave to have your ‘important’ talk? You hate hospital, don’t you, with all the annoying and sick people?”

Usamanee was surprised as he took her waist to support her and started to walk them out. And she couldn’t make her voice work to confess or even breathe right with him so near. When they reach his car, he opened the passenger seat for her and helped her climb in. With him now one foot away, Usamanee’s body was starting to work again as Jessadaporn drove away, and she asked the question that had been on her mind for the last two months, “Why didn’t you visit me once?”

Jessadaporn gave her a serious look, “Why? I thought I was doing you a favor. You were right, Ploy, we should divorce.”

This caught Ploy off guard. “What are you talking about?”

He laughed, “You’re saying that a lot. The doctor said that you were having some memory blanks, but you couldn’t have forgotten about the divorce that you so were life-and-death about.”

“We were getting divorce? I thought we were just fighting and that was why I was going to America to model to give us a break? I was thinking that you were going to follow me and make up with me?”

Jessadaporn took his eyes off the road to look at her. He couldn’t believe her. She had always played the same act every time they fought. She would go on very expensive vacation or take an abroad modeling job, and during this time he would miss her and end up chasing her to her end of the world where he would ask for her to come back. She would apologize, he would forgive her, and they would make up. And everything would go back to their honeymoon days no matter what she had done before to wrong him. And in another month or so, they would fight again, make up, fight, and make up. It was a predictable cycle. Ever since Ploy became the top model and was awarded the best actress award in the beginning of the year, she had been pushing for divorce and their fights have increase every day. Their last fight was explosive and Ploy walked out saying she’s feed up with him pulling her down. He had forgiven Ploy all those times, and he had even thought that he can forgive her this time, but now he realize that what they had wasn’t love. He is no longer that fool blinded by her beauty. Jessadaporn shot her a look of disbelief and handed her a manila envelope. “These are your new and reissued ID and credit cards.”
Usamanee opened the envelope and saw the cards and some few sheets of documents and looked at him, “What is this?”

“Ploy, are you playing dumb again? Those are the divorce papers you filed for. I finalized the process while you were recovering. Just look it over, I’ve agree to all of your terms. Contact my lawyer when you‘ve consulted yours and good riddance.” He looked at her with the most straight face. “I have nothing else to talk to you about.” He pulled in front of her condominium building. “Now, please get out of my car. I find that I owe you this much to give you the best facial reconstruction of your precious face because it’s the only good thing you have.”

“Divorce? Je…what are you talking about? And what’s with your sudden coldness. Je--.”

He was pissed at her stupid questions. “Get out.” Jessadaporn climbed out of the driver’s seat and walked over to her door and opened it out for her. Usamanee grabbed her prescription bag and her got out, and stepped out to the side walk to watch him drive off without a word. What’s going on? Ploy was filing for divorce? She knew that they fought a lot over Ploy’s modeling and acting work, but they also made up a lot. They were always love birds, always so cuddly and kiss-kiss in public. And what changed Je? He was so eager to make up with Ploy that night. Usamanee was so confused, but her head was throbbing and she told herself that she needed to rest.

CHAPTER 4============================================================

For now, she’ll just have to go along. Usamanee walked toward the condo building, and then flashes of light engulfed her. Reporters screamed questions at her miraculous survival, plastic surgery, and her rehab. Nothing got to her as she stood in more confusion of what she got herself into. Then Jane, Ploy’s agent, appeared beside her.

“Nong Ploy, sorry, I tried to control the press as best I can while you were recovering. But, somehow news got out about your release. Security is clearing us way, just follow me.” Usamanee did just that and finally, they reached Ploy’s condo. Usamanee started to break down. She wasn’t supposed to get this far. She was supposed to tell him she’s not Ploy.

“Nong Ploy ja, don’t cry.” Agent Jane tried to sooth her. Ploy was always so emotional, alright, but Jane had never seen her cry so hopelessly.

Usamanee looked up to Jane in tears, “Khun Jane…I don’t know what to do…” She stood up and reached for Jane, hugging the older women. “P’Jane…” She lets all of her frustration out in tears. After a long time, she couldn’t cry any longer and sat across Jane, hiccupping, “It seems like my whole life has been turned upside down. I don’t know who I am any longer. I’m so tired; I can’t deal with anything.”

Jane was surprised that Ploy to talking to her as a friend. Ploy was very uncondescending and single-minded. “Nong Ploy, don’t worry. I’ve paused all of your work. As a matter of fact, you are getting more offers than ever. Many agencies want an exclusive with you. I have a file that break down all the offers for you to choose which project you would like to take. But first, you have a press conference tomorrow at noon. This should make you happy. You can take advantage of this situation and twist it to boost your image and get the workload you always wanted. And this year will be your golden year.”

Usamanee looked at Jane, “P’Jane, I don’t want to work…no yet…I need to handle my personal life first.”

“Oh, yes. I am sorry. Of course, you need time to yourself. I will cancel the press conference. Is there anything else I can do for you?”

“No.” Usamanee looked at Jane, “I’m going to rest and forget about everything for a while.” She grabbed her medicine bag and walked to the bathroom. Usamanee turned back, “I can call you P’Jane right.” Jane nodded. She had never imagined a day that Ploy would call her Pee. “Good. I always wanted a sister. P’Jane, thank you for listening.”
--
Jane let herself out of the condo. She has always hoped for the day when Ploy would learned to appreciate her more, but just before was still making her uneasy. Maybe it’s true like they say, when people come back from a near-death experience, they can change. Jane pulled out her blackberry to call the organizer of the planned press conference, “Bee, the beauty queen has called the conference off. Call up the reporters and later I will give out an official apology for the cancellation.” Jane hanged up, thinking about what she will say to the reporters outside.
--
Usamanee washed her stranger face in cool water and was now staring at the reflection in the mirror. She now has the face of a beauty queen and the face of the women that Jessadaporn loved. Ploy’s face looked back, Usamanee frowned, but the wrinkleless and white skin of it was still perfect. Usamanee felt the realization hit her—she was plain, her name camouflaged with the other deaths that were announced on the newspaper. She had no one to give her a ceremony or no one to remember her. Did Jessadaporn mourn for her? She was unremarkable, not like Ploy whose survival was a miracle and her return followed by millions.

Ploy was the Thailand-French ambassador’s daughter, who at age 21 traveled to her home country Thailand and competed in the Miss Thailand pageant and won the titled. She entered the Thailand society and grabbed the heart of the richest bachelor Jessadaporn Pholdee. They became the talk of the country. They married in a hurry, disqualifying Tiffany to go to Miss Universe Pageant as the Thailand candidate. But her marriage was the envy of all ladies.

Usamanee, on the other hand, had no family, supported herself through college, and the only compliments she ever receive was on her excellent work. At 18, Usamanee first worked as an intern at United Thai Bank. She crushed on Jessadaporn since the first time she got of glance of him walking into the office to greet the workers. It was six months later, when he had actually noticed her. When Jessadaporn’s old secretary was sick and Usamanee filled in for the week. She had messed up this morning coffee, and he only gave her a smile, asking for her name. And when the company succeeded in getting a new expansion, the whole team went out. She showed up dressed in her best evening dress, trying to make Jessadaporn notice her, but thinking that he won’t remember her. The whole evening, Usamanee sat with her drinking co-workers gossiping but really her attention was on Jessadaporn. She was about to steal a sip of the many alcohol bottle sitting on the table, when Jessadaporn walked over and held her bottle back and asked her if she was of age. Embarrassed, Usamanee blushed and he gave her the most charming smile. It captured her heart and if it was possible, she loved him even more. Then Jessadaporn began drinking beside her. He had remembered Usamanee and started to tell her his dream to make United Thai Bank the best in Thailand.

And put it up to faith to bring Ploy in to cut them short. Jessadaporn paused mid-word talking to Usamanee, as his attention looked pass her to the entrance. The moment Ploy entered the club and all eyes were on her, including Jessadaporn’s. From that moment on, he never looked anywhere else expect at Ploy. Jessadaporn got off from beside her and brought a drink to Ploy. Usamanee watched them laugh and dance and leave the club together. After they left, she drank for the first time in her life. She drowned the bottles like water, but it didn’t help the burning in her heart. She have fallen in love for the first time and got her heart broken for the first time.

Usamanee watched Ploy come to the office the next day and almost every day afterwards to visit Jessadaporn. And like a roller coaster, they engaged and got married within months. Not one year into their marriage, Usamanee saw Jessadaporn coming in always down and stress about Ploy. And after three years, his secretary retired, and having completed college, Usamanee applied and got the position. Even though she was now close to him for a year, he was no longer the spirited man she knew. Jessadaporn was strictly business orientated. He poured all of his energy in expanding the Bank. But his passion dried up, only measuring his success by profit.

But why was Jessadaporn all of a sudden so cold? He made up with Ploy each time, what changed? She looked at her reflection and saw tears streaming down her cheeks. Why is everything getting so complicated? She is going to tell Jessadaporn the truth that she is not his wife. She is going to tell him. Usamanee took her medicine and headed to bed, knowing tomorrow will be a big day.

CHAPTER 5===================================================

In the other side of the city, Jessadaporn moaned in ecstasy as he pumped into the over-stretched women under him. “Yeah, you like that?” He rode her grinding to the bed.

“Fuck me.” Jessadaporn moved faster, the friction was killing him, and it felt good because it stole his mind from thinking about Ploy.

All those five years of marriage, he had been a fool. Jessadaporn remembered his first time with Ploy the night he first meet her in the club. They drove back to his flat where she laughed that he was a virgin and arousal him to insanity and he had felt so in love with her. From that first time on, they did it every chance they were alone and he was addicted to her. Now, he knew that she had only picked and married him because he was naïve and rich. Everyone thought they fought because he disapproved of career as a model and actress, but only if they knew the truth . He can’t believe he had considered forgiving Ploy. Now and for the last two months, he is enjoying his new philosophy. Ploy had been his only partner, and she knew that and used sex to coax him—to control him. He knows now that sex is power. And his that translate to his new venture into the dark side of having mind-blowing sex with nameless Barbie hookers.

Jessadaporn felt his release come, and he went weak and crashed back-side down on the bed almost dropping on top of the exhausted body of the blondie that he dig ten minutes ago. And Jessadaporn laid there moaning loudly and closed his eyes, as six hands and three mouths start to pleasure him.
--
Usamanee overslept and fixed herself quickly, leaving to make her confession. She exited through the back, avoiding the need to find Ploy’s key and car and meeting the reporters outside. She got in a cab.

Usamanee stood in front of Jessadaporn’s flat that he shared with Ploy, she knew the security code by heart having been to the place millions of times before dropping off papers, getting signatures, and getting Jessadaporn’s clothes to be dried cleaned, but she knocked. Just as she started to think that he was out when no one answered, she heard voices. Then a tall lady wearing only a long shirt with a messy hair nest opened the door and gave Usamanee the dirty look. “You’re not room service?”

Usamanee opened her mouth to ask if she had the right room, thinking maybe Jessadaporn moved out, but then she heard Jessadaporn yawning and asking, “Hey baby, is that the breakfast I ordered? We’re starving in here.” Then two giggly laughs broke from inside the room.

The lady turned back, “Some women is here…” Then the lady eyes flared and she looked back at Usamanee, recognizing Ploy’s face, “Hey aren’t you Ploy Boonyasak?” The lady smiled mockingly, “Did they have to give you vaginal plastic surgery too since you’re back but your husband is fucking me. Jessada was a—.”

Jessadaporn opened the door wide and appeared before Usamanee. He was only in a boxer, and two very lovely women wearing his shirts was clinging on his arms. He froze a bit at the sight of her. “What the heck are you doing here?”

Usamanee was stuttering, “I…I…I need to tell you something.” She looked nervously at the three women.

Jessadaporn looked at her, “Got the papers signed already.”

Ploy didn’t know what he was referring to for a minute, but realized he was talking about the divorce paperwork. “No. I got something else I need to tell you.”

“What else have you got Ploy?” He laughed out loud. “Did I not give you enough money? For God’s sake, I’m giving you more what I should be.”

Again, Usamanee looked at the three women who were now clinging on to Jessadaporn like leeches. “No, not that. I need to talk to you alone.”

“You’re wasting my time Ploy. Whatever you got to say, say it.”

“Umm…um…I—.” Usamanee stopped. “It’s very important. I can only tell you alone.”

Jessadaporn looked piss but he looked at the three women, “It’s late. I need to go to work soon. You ladies should leave.” The three women were making it obvious that Usamanee had cut their fun short and were slow to dress and pack out and leave. At last, they were alone. “Come in. And make it quick. I have a meeting at noon.”

Usamanee walked in and sit on the couch as Jessadaporn stood. She looked up to see his abs, and her glaze lowered to the hair that vanishes under his boxer. She gulped and calmed her nerves. “Can you grab a shirt or something?”

Jessadaporn looked at her like she was an alien. “You’re wasting my time, Ploy,”

Usamanee took a deep breath and looked at his face only, “I need to confess to you.” She took another breath. “I…I am not Ploy.”

Jessadaporn’s loud laugh made her uneasy. “Ploy, what are you playing at?”

“Listen to me. I am not--.”

“Not Ploy? Bullshit. You’re the person that screwed me up. First you buy me with that fake love you whisper to me when we fuck. Then you open your legs to every one of your bosses, sponsors, and producers to climb up to your stardom. And you bang the elevator boys, the old politicians, to my business partners and every other stupid guy that have a working penis.”

This took Usamanee back; she didn’t know any of this. “WHAT?”

“Look at you. You’re still making excuses. Which one is it? I ruined your chance to be an international beauty queen when we married. And when we’re married, I ruined your career as a world-class model because no one would hire a married model, so you turned to acting. Then no one would hire an aging actress. Oh yeah, I counted all the excuses you gave me for fucking your way up. And recently now that you’re the next big thing, I’m a liability to your career so you want to toss me.”

“I…I…But I always thought you loved me. You came back each time.”

“I loved you, but what we had wasn’t love. You screwed me. I’m ashamed that for awhile, I ached for you. I was ready to forgiven you and beg you to stop the divorce and give anything to have you back.” Jessadaporn went silent like he was thinking about something painful and he gulped, “What matter now is that I should have seen you for who you were—a two-timing whore.”

Usamanee couldn’t help the tears from coming. She never knew about these problems or that that Jessadaporn was in this much pain. Her voice cracked, “Jessada, I’m sorry.” She wasn’t Ploy, but Usamanee felt that she had to apologize.

Jessadaporn walked up to her and twisted her arm, “Sorry. That’s new. You know who you made be. A fool who worked day and night to please your luxurious spending. A cold man who shut out his family because they ridicule you. A fucking worthless nothing who loved you whole-heartedly.”

Usamanee started to shook her head, “No. You’re intelligent and caring and--.”

“Are you mocking me? Is this what you wanted to talk about? To give me one last stab in my heart? Well, Ploy, you did it. You’re making a laughing stock out of me just spilling how well you played me. Are you done?” Jessadaporn walked into the bathroom and shut the door behind him. Usamanee walked over to the door and she heard the loud gasps of pain escaping Jessadaporn’s muffled cries.

Usamanee couldn’t stand to hear him cry so she ran out of there in a daze. She walked on the streets, thinking one thing: she is going to heal Jessadaporn with her love. She is going to show him what love is. She walked to a nearby phone booth to dial Jane.“P’Jane, about the press conference, can you make a recall. I want to have it.” Usamanee made up her mind. Ploy is the only one Jessadaporn loves and Ploy will live again to love Jessadaporn. From now on, there’s no more Usamanee, only Ploy.

CHAPTER 6============================================================

Ploy was dressed in her signature look. Sexy and all Women. She walked up the front table, sat down and greeted the crowd.
“Good afternoon. Thank you for making this conference at such late notice. I have a few announcements to make. Please retain your questions, I will be more than happy to answer them later.” Ploy was well composed. She had a natural talent at public communication, especially at connecting with the audience. “First, I want to thank you all for following me during these years. I know that many of you have published negative material about me. I regret my past actions. You must be curious about the crash; I will not talk about it. It is most traumatic. Please understand that I don’t recall it too well myself, so I therefore, cannot tell you what I don’t remember. But, I can tell you that, I saw my whole life flash in front of me. The things I did that I had hurt many. I am sorry. I want to announce that I will discontinue my career as a model and actress.” Ploy was prepared for the sudden uproar from the audience, and she quickly and easily clamed them down by waiting and going on, “I’ve decided on leaving the industry and spending time doing the things I overlooked before.” The audience was intrigued now. “I will sell my clothes brand line and use the money to start a foundation. Please look forward to helping me raise awareness of the underprivileged people in Thailand. Last, I ask that all the media will give me space. I am ready to change. I am just a human being, please let me live in peace.”

Questions were flying at her. And Ploy answered them sincerely and fully. In the back, Jane is still. Ploy seemed to have a totally new personality. Can a person really changed after a traumatic even? She clapped her hands and walked toward the stage. “Thank you. Thank you. That is enough. Any more questions, contact me.” She gave Ploy the queue to leave.
--
Jessadaporn hit the power button on the control. He slammed his balled fist into his glass desk. Damn, what is Ploy cooking up? He thought he made it final that they were over. He looked at the time on his Rolex. It was on the 5’o clock news, the conference was done at 1, so Ploy must be at her condo by now. He grabbed his coat and raced out the double doors.

Jessadaporn knocked on the door, pressed the call button, “Ploy, open up. I know you’re in there.”

Ploy opened up. Jessadaporn was taken aback with her plainness. She had just showered with her hair slightly damp and loose, flowing naturally and she was wearing a long silky pink night dress. He entered, kicked the door shut, and grabbed her arm. Jessadaporn brought her to face him. “I totally underestimated you. Tell me, what is your motive of announcing your leave from that industry that you so dream of being a number.” He shook her, “Now! Tell me! What are you up too? You would never give up your career!!! You’re up to something. What else do you want from me?”

Ploy tried to pry his grip off, “Je, I’ve change. I want us to start anew.”

He laughed, “Je? Start anew?” He laughed more, “Those words are five years too late. I don’t love you anymore. You already killed me.”

Ploy begged, “You always came back to me all those times I hurt you. I just want another chance, I will…”

“Don’t be making any promises to me!” He hissed.

“I know that I hurted you again and again but I just want to make that up to you. I can change.” He looked away, not wanting to see her innocent, crying face. Ploy hugged his stiff body. “Can you give me one more chance…” Without understanding her own actions, she kissed him. His body betrayed him as he responded to her and kissed her back, longing for her. Slowly, he lifted her and inched them to the bed. He rolled on top and looked into her warm brown eyes. And like a low dance, they moved to the rhythm of her heart’s desires. He felt her come and he let his release undone inside of her. They remained connected for a few minutes. Then, Jessadaporn suddenly pulled out, and sits on the edge of the bed, looking at her in disgust.

He shook his head and let out a laugh. He grabbed his brief and clothes and got up to dress. Ploy pulled her night shirt over her and got up, walking to Jessadaporn. He shot her an angry look and held out his palm to stop her from coming closer, “Don’t touch me. Each time you made me upset, wrong me, or I catch you screwing someone else, you would coax me into forgiving you with sex.” He looked into her widen eyes, “I am not your toy. I know your ways of using sex to control me. There will not be a next time.”

“No…No…I wasn’t trying to…no Je…I just wanted to—“

“I don’t want to hear anything more. I don’t know what you are up to. If you won’t divorce nicely, I’ll see you in court.” He didn’t bother buttoning his dress shirt and walked out, letting the front door slam loudly behind him.

CHAPTER 7=========================================================

Ploy entered the Pholdee residence. And Kaew, the head of servant, greeted her in distaste.

“What business do you have here, Khun Ploy?”

“I came to see Grandma ka, Pa Keaw.”

Keaw didn’t hide her thoughts, “Who’s your auntie? I’m not your auntie. And I didn’t know that these days you call Khun Ying Grandma now? I never knew? What holy spirit has possessed you to be coming here to claim relations with us?”

Ploy was hurt. As Usamanee, she was on good terms with Kaew and Jessadaporn’s Grandma. But she knew she was Ploy and Jessadaporn’s family dislike her for hurting him, so she had to take it. “I want to see Grandma.” She knew she was out of character, “Pa Kaew, please let me meet Grandma. I want to discuss about Khun Jessadaporn.”

Kaew laughed, “Oi, don’t be calling me Pa. Make it short. Khun Ying is having dinner, follow me.”

Ploy entered the vast but empty dining hall. Jessadaporn’s grandma was still strong. She saw Ploy and gave her a look of disapproval.
“What bring you here tonight, Ma Ploy? You’re looking more beautiful than before. What honor do I have to have for you to visit me?”

Ploy has never seen Grandma spoke so unpleasantly. But Ploy supposed it was correct that she is hated by the ones who love Jessadaporn. “I need your help.”

Grandma looked at her in mocking surprise, “What do you need my help on?”

“Please, talk with Jessadaporn to stop the divorce process. I want to preserve our marriage.”

“Why? You filed them. Didn’t you so pressed for the separation? Don’t tell me that you come back reborn a new person?”

Ploy stood her ground and continued to talk sincerely, “Please, talk to Jessadaporn. I know that I have done the most unforgiveable things to cause him pain. I’m ready to start afresh with him and make amends.”

“I’ve never imagine you ever having remorse. You took the life out of my son. He works so hard trying to get rich, so you’ll accept him. I can’t even share meals with him. I try to talk to him that you are bad news and he shuns me telling me that I am wrong. And on the rare times he visits me, he never smiles and is always stressed out.”

“I know. I…” Ploy paused trying not break down. She pitied Jessadaporn too. “I love him. I didn’t then, but now I know that he loved me with no doubt. I know now the things he did for me and suffered because of me. And I don’t want it to be too late to accept his love. He is very cold right now towards me, swearing he doesn’t love me anymore, but I now, have realized the pureness of his love. I truly love Je.”

Grandma looked at Ploy, and asked, “Did something happen to you? You’re talking out of character. And you look different.”

She gave a nervous smile. “Nothing. I’ve just learned a lot life I didn’t see before, and I’ve gain some weight from the medication. Please talk to Jessa—“

“I told you that there is nothing more to talk about.” Ploy turned to the booming voice of Jessadaporn who just walked in. “Come here.” He grabbed her arm and dragged her outside to the garden. “What the heck are you doing talking to my Grandma? What devil’s plan are you playing at? Tell me?”

“Jessadaporn, let go. You’re hurting me.” He twisted her arm and brought her closer to him. “I told you. I don’t want the divorce. I want another chance to me your wife. I will love you and--.”

“Love me? Bullshit, tell me your real motive!” Jessadaporn searched her eyes, but found nothing incriminating. “You don’t have the right to come to my house. Do you hear me? I want you out! Out!!!”

“No one is going anywhere.” Both of them turned to the voice of Grandma, “Jessada, Ma Ploy will stay here in the house to accompany me when all you do is work and play these days and stay in that flat of yours.”

Jessadaporn gave the most disapproving stare at his Grandma, “Grandma, what did she bribe and promise you? Don’t trust her.”

“She asked for a chance to be my granddaughter-in-law again, and I feel that I can give her one more opportunity.”

Jessadaporn huffed out in defeat and disbelief. “She got you too with that bullshit story.” He raised both of his hands, “Okay.” He looked to Ploy, “You got my hands bond. You want to keep the goddamn name as my wife, then be it then! This doesn’t change anything. I want nothing to do with you.”

CHAPTER 8==================================================

The next day, Ploy packed her bags. It proved to be hard. Everything that Ploy owed was revealing, silky, lacey, tight, and sheer sexy. She went out to buy a new cell phone and called Jane to inform Jane of her new number and that she was moving to Pholdee Residence if Jane needed anything. Jane sounded excited that she have made up to Jessadaporn. Ploy confessed that she was simply staying there for the time being. Jane complimented her on how she behaved during the press conference. And that many groups are looking into buying her clothes line. Ploy told Jane that she will assess the offers personally and to direct everything to her and that Jane was free to start finding a new person to represent.

Ploy drove her car to the Pholdee Residence. She pulled in and was greeted by Grandma.

“Grandma, sawadee.” She waied.

Grandma nodded and ordered the servant to carry in her bags. Then she invited, “Come in, the place haven’t changed much from 5 years ago when you newly moved in after the wedding. I hope that you can readapt.”

Ploy nodded. She loved the place the first time she dropped by to get Jessadaporn to sign some paperwork. She knew the servants and the place well. “It’s beautiful as ever.”

Grandma inquired, “Before you thought everything was boring. Has your taste changed too?”

Ploy smile weakly. She didn’t know too well about Ploy prior thoughts on such topic. But Grangma was right, Ploy liked the modern style. “I’m learning new things about myself every day. It’s like I’m a total new person.”

“Just make sure you’re consistent. I gave you a chance. I don’t know what I was thinking, that you can bring my son back, but I already say I would do so. All right now, you will stay in Jessdaporn’s room—you’re old room with him. He doesn’t sleep here when he visits.”

“I’m sorry that I caused a drift between you two.” Ploy apologized. “Please excuse me, its medication time and that means I will me dizzy for the next hour, so I take a nap.”

“I don’t expect you to entertain me. Dinner is at 6.” Grandma watched her slowly climbed the stairs. Why is she getting a different vibe from Ploy? Something so different yet so similar. But one thing was for sure, Ploy was sincere about making amends with her son.
--
The next day, Ploy woke up early, and she went into the kitchen. She saw Keaw and Dao, the cook, and she knew everyone was wondering why she was helping them cook, and she was ready to show them that she came to be a friend.

Grandma walked outside to the front door where she is ready to give food and alms to the Buddha. Geandma was surprise to see Ploy dressed modesty and arranging the flowers.

“Is today raining?”

Ploy turned to Grandma. “Rain or shine, I’m here to stay.” Ploy saw a Buddha walked down and greeted the Buddha.
--
Grandma was starting to warm up to Ploy. And in the two weeks that passed, she was enjoying her new life. Everyone has opened up to her, and she now has a fixed routine.

Ploy was having dinner with Grandma, “I need to go out tomorrow to meet with P’Jane to wrap up some loose ends. Would you like me to pick anything up for you?”

“No. Enjoy yourself. Don’t worry about me. I can survive one day without you.”

Ploy smiled widely, “I was thinking of asking you to teach me how to make traditional Thai desserts. I fell in love with them first time I had them.” The face on Grandma was weird and Ploy deducted that she must have misspoken. Grandma had given Usamanee a tour of the house the first time she came to give Jessadaporn the paperwork and she was fascinated by the sweet dessert. “I remember 5 years ago eating them one time when I was looking for a snack in the kitchen.”

Grandma nodded, “I never knew you like Thai desserts.” She watched Ploy go still.

Ploy let out a nervously smiled, “I like Thai cuisine.”

Grandma watched her drink the glass of water and continue eating to avoid further conversation. Grandma watched her eat the spicy tom yum soup. Ploy hated Thai food, but apparently now, she likes them. And she was getting that feeling again that Ploy was trying to avoid taking about the past. And there are the little things Ploy says that bothers her like correcting herself a lot. Grandma needed to figure that out what she is hiding.

SmileBo, you got it. Usamanee is the nangek with Ploys face. I wanted a sexy, bold face (and body) nangek and ploy fitted best. i liked the contrast of a sensual, flawless face on usamanee and how usamanee must now carried the repuation of ploys past being a flirt. As for the future, im still conflicted. Je will embrace her (after the truth, love confession, and making up) for her true self. should i have usamanee just keeep ploys face as symbolism of how he can look past ploys face to see usamanees love. or is that too cruel, and he should have her face reconstruct? no se.

to my readers: I will directly point this out in the coming chaps (i dont think i specified this yet), but ploy dies in the crash and her body count is identified as usamanee (obviously thats how it always work if you havent infer). if the kdrama and lakorn can get away with stupid stuff, i can use my magaic pen and say the investigator were lazy and did brother a DNA test.

look forward for update next tues after my calc exam.
