I'm not going to enter in the competition but I might be there, so yeah see everybody there.

"Cantare" will take place in the chinese restaurant WOK KING in modesto, california (1650 e.hatch road, modesto, ca 95351) on saturday 26 of january 2008 starting at 7:00 pm (it will start broadcast at 7:00 pm, and the contest will start soon after, please don't be late).
It will be host by Ashley Thao & MTV.
NO FEE for participant but they have to subscribe as soon as possible.
The competition will be limited to 8-10 contestants and will be consist of 3 rounds.
Competitor will be selected based on a tape/cd or phone interview if it exceed the amount of competitor.
The competition is open for amators of all age.
The contest will be divide into 3 rounds. The first round will cut down the number of contestant to 5. The second round will leave 3 contestant and the final will determinate the order.
1 song will be sang for the first and second round.
2 songs will be sing for the final.
If you are selected to participate to the contest, feel free to provide a video cd or other support with a video clip you want us to display as your background during your performance(for the second round and up).
We have a choice of karaoke songs, but it is encourage to bring your songs where you feel comfortable. However, the audio must have no vocals except for chorus and backvoice, and must be sent to us in advance. (either online or by mail). The organisation may be changed down to 1 or 2 songs or less round.
The audience will vote for the contest. It will be done by raffle tickets at 1$. At the end of the event, those vote will be used as a raffle system and numerous prize will be offered (ipod nano/shuffle/gps and more).
During the event, gifts will be distributed to the public with various animation like "Karaoke dare". People that responds to a karaoke call will win a prize.
During special karaoke moment, the audience can have a raffle ticket for free if they sing a song.
The whole event will be webcast live on http://www.selfcast.com/fire_eyes.
The entry is $12 in pre-sale ($10 for girls) and $15 at the door ($12 for girls).
Correct dressing code will be ensured (don't hesitate to call us to ask more information) and guest must be 21 or older (for alcohol).
Food and beverage will be avaible at a reasonable price.
The number of entry will be limited to 130 seats and guest can reserve a table if they have enought entry tickets. It will cost between $1 to $2 per seating place to reserve a table depending of the table.
A online paiement and book system will be available soon, but don't miss a thing by contacting us before.
Other goodies from our sponsors will be available to guest at discount price or as a gift.
