Hello everyone.
My name is NanXue Chu from shanghai China.
now KEN is so hot in china mainland.

I release a new topic for KEN and sawan in chinese forum, now already more than 5000 replies.
http://cache.tianya.cn/publicforum/content...1/1175680.shtml

we only see thailand lakorn on network, because no TV station fetch in any thailand lakorn till now.
Thai lakorn and film is hot in mainland of China's network, So now Thai star is also very popular in the mainland of China.
Many new forum and fans' website was set up for KEN,TIK,PCHY,MARIO etc
Many main-newspapers also report “Thailand wind is popular in Chinese Beijing,Shanghai,Nanjing,Chengdu,Guangzhou, etc.
topic was " Thailand wind will blown away Korea wind"

Another,It's hard to we saw Thai lakorn in China,
because most Thai lakonn are Thai pronunciation, Thai subtitles. But Few people know the Thai language in here.
So we had to see Thai lakorn by Thai people upload to YOUTUBE using English subtitles .
Some lakorn was translated into Chinese such as <sawan>,<JLR>.

Although not understand Thai pronunciation and Thai subtitles,
a lot of fans still see all series finished for the Thai star who he loved.

Sorry,My english is so poor .......

If it's indeed true then I'd say...IT'S ABOUT TIME!

I mean I dunno why it took so long for people to take notice of Thai popular culture... I mean this is kinda natural progression don't u think so? Even geographically speaking it's about time that Thai things get to be popular by now...

First it was Hong Kong then Japan...(or was it the other way around?) and then people got notice of stuffs Taiwanese...then by Korean...

I kinda find it hard to imagine where people's attention will turn next to after Thailand but its time has arrived kinda too late in my opinion though... But anywayz I just can't find a country other than Thailand which offers this full-set of cultural attractions on its scale for people of other countries to get notice of(meaning they have sizeable TV drama production, music industry as well as movie industry) as far as Southeast Asia is concerned... Perhaps the Philippines but for now let's enjoy everything Thai and 0ur, those devoted non-Thai fans of Thai stuffs who have been waiting for years in vain to see this finally happen before our very two own eyes~! moment in the sun

It's usually for us asian to like Chinese Series/Movies.
While I always though they never knew about Thai Lakorn.
I'm glad that Thai Lakorn are getting out there more, because Thai Lakorns are really good.
Also that they're recieveing more and more fans from different culture.
Like my sister say if she know thai or if thai lakorn have subtitles she would watch lakorns 24/7 and rather pick it over korean dramas anyday.
Thank you.

Yes ,Mario and Pchy was first thailand star popular in China becasue <The Love Of Siam>.

when chinese fans love them, therefore they were started care every thing about thailand.
we search any information about Thailand on internet because we are almost don't know thailand at all previously.
Such as Thailand custom,culture,lakorn,dramas,Thai-food.

Now we already know thailand is Buddhism country, Thailand people were very friendly.
Thailand people should be stand up when movie was started because love thai's prince.
we know that Bangkok is World 1# Travel+Leisure City (2008) etc.
we know there have ch3 ,ch5,ch7 in thailand.
also we started find thai lakorn to saw, so finally the most chinese is fond of KEN,TIK,AUM.etc

Now TIK ,KEN,AUM,MARIO,PCHY are the most hot thai actor,ANN,AFF,AOM should be the most hot thai actress in mainland of China.
Tik Chinese fans' website had register member more than 1,0000 peoples.

omg thai lakorns are so the hit now, no more kdrama or tawanese, its all about thai lakorn the upcoming year.

oh i forgot, i believe oum ruk brought the evolution to thai entertainment. if i could remember correct this was the very first lakorn that was ever subbed. then wishbone took it to the next level with all her subbing project and then a few other sub team arise. i love thai entertainment!!!!!!

^i wrote that earlier in sb thread. so i just copy and pasted my answer.

make room cause thai entertainment is taking over. thanks to all the fansubbers that made this possible!!! i give all the credit to fansubbers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I just wanna say that lakorn Hunan TV played in China is not like...the best example of how Thai lakorns are like...if u know what I mean. I mean there r better ones... It's just my opinion so plz do not pour down ur insults and protests over this msg... Overall it's a good thing to know that Thai stuffs r getting popular abroad...

More urgently so cuz it seems to be losing lots of fans in Cambodia, one of its main overseas markets, over this territorial disputes regarding the temple of Preah Vihear...

I'm sorry I don't know what's you mean.

we hope that Thailand lakorn could played in any one of 50 satellite's TV station in China(all of them covered with over China),

But because China has drama-review-system, like SAWAN, JLR, and so was certainly can't passed by review , because there are include "rape", which is broadcast in China strictly prohibited by TV.

Thailand lakorn is hot in internet, after all but is only in internet, have a limited impact.
Now we hope that we can introduced < Oom Rak > to China satellite TV station , many chinese fans post their point of view in TV station's website to arose TV station 's attention.
only played in satellite TV station ,Thailand drama shouled be gained more and more impact in China.

Well, I'm a big TVB fan, as well as lakorns...I think both countries are getting better throughout the years...I grew up watching both, that's what makes me want to learn Cantonese and Thai so badly...I love the languages...I'll even watch a lakorn and a Chinese series at the same time...which confuses me sometimes, but I love it.

I think she's praising lakorns, I don't think she will insult it...just common courtesy from all sides.

Speaking of Cambodia, I grew up in America, so I don't have the same thinking as most Cambodians do...I don't think the government for any country has anything to do with it's people...the citizens of the country have no control over what their government does...I was in Long Beach (CA) this weekend, and I saw some protesters, I couldn't read the signs cuz they were in Khmer, plus I was driving, but it didn't interest me...If it's a political issue, there's not much you can do, but I don't like that people hate the whole country and everyone in it just because of things the people have no control over. No one has the same views on things...like when America was protesting to prevent Beijing from hosting the Olympics...which I think was dumb...because they protested over issues that have been going on for years, and yet, they still decided to go to Beijing...but people decide to protest it thinking that all of a sudden, a great event like the Olympics that brings people together from all over the world, would be moved because of political issues in that country...China, Thailand, or Cambodia, we're all people...we just speak different languages and look different...but we can still share things such as entertainment, foods, clothing...This world would be boring if we didn't share the things we have...America wouldn't be so cultural either...I say, if they want to protest Thailand, then protest their food, entertainment...and everything related to Thailand...if not, just let the political figures deal with all that...

Well, even if they lose fans in Cambodia, they still have fans in America...and the next generation, and the generation after that...Entertainment and politics are two different things...I'm going to Cambodia next year, and I plan to go to Thailand also, but my mom won't set foot in Thailand...and I'll be so disappointed that they won't be airing any lakorns over there...

Oh yeah...I love Ken....I officially announced it a while ago...hehe

You know me, I kind of get carried away with my opinions sometimes.

well said there raymond! you had said it all and even better of what i wanted to say.

Yeap i'm a fan of both tvb and thai lakorns too and i grew up watcing them both too. and even now i still get switch between those two, when there's not good thai lakorns that i want to watch then i'll go to get some good tvb series to watch, but recently the new tvb seriese aren't that good as they used to be at all, i liked the good old series and the actors too, except raymond the new actor that i like. right now i'm rewatching the Return of the Condor Heroes which star Andy lau (yang gor and siv long ni).

i was born in Cambodia but our family is chinese blooded, so yeah entertainment is different to politic issue. i talked to my sister in Cambodia the other day and i told her about what thai lakorn i was watching but then she asked me, did i know about the issue of thailand want to take over the temple of Preah Vihear? i told her to get some thai lakorns for me over there becuase they are cheaper, but she said that she was afraid that other khmer people will look at her thinking that she still love thai by going over to purchase their lakorns, and i told her that i don't care about what those goverments are doing, it just an entertaiment, as long as my actors and actress are having lakorns for me to watch, i'll watch them, this political issues have nothing to do with thai actors and actress and their lakorns, why everyone hate everything about the country just because of those political issues which those citizhen have no control over?

anyway back to the topic, yeah i think it should be the time for thai lakorns to get popular esp over asia, i remembered that thai lakorns was so popular in Camboida back 6-7 years ago when i was still in the country, it was like all every single house turned on watching thai lakorns every night and it will be the talk of the town the next morning, it was like thai lakorns had completely took over the whole country until the issue came with thai saying that the Angkor Wat belong to Thailand that khmer people became so angry and even burn down the thai embassy there, and all the thai tv or program had been banned since then. Now it's like another one is firing up again, but hopefully it will be over soon and everything should be fine. So that when i return to visit Cambodia i can watch thai drama there and get to buy the good ones that i want to buy lol...............
