@lakornkiki even if i sound like a hater to fans, Neung Dao Fah Diew is def being "sacrificed" bc of fears of Likit Ruk not being able to follow up in popularity. I get the concern I do...but Likit Ruk has sooooo much hype with NY and it being Anne's production, so if I were them I'd be afraid too.
Well thats so sad :( I feel bad for NDFD if that really is the case. I like NY and Taew but that really is unfair. Channels here in the Philippines kinda do the same thing. Prioritizing the dramas of celebrities who are much more popular especially those with loveteams bc they have huge fanbase and bring higher ratings. And tbh most of our loveteams cant even act that great :( hahaha. Sad that theres no making way for big potential and talented actors and actresses to grow and develop.

I honestly don't expect the rating to reach 20. As long as it didn't drop, it is more than enough. The casts and crew shouldn't be pressured.

The success of this lakorn right now is already in another level. No other lakorns will be able to achieve similar success at least for the time being.

I think it might be because a lot of people in Thailand would have already planned to travel abroad for the holidays; the majority of the celebs I follow have already left the country

BUT

to go back on track, i'm soooo excited for a wedding scene. Maybe it won't happen till the final episode though...bc i feel with the tension of the political stuff...it'll be too rushed to include the wedding scene.

We still have to have bloodied Falcon and his death too.
I wouldn't say NDF was sacrificed per say, it's more like Anne is taking her flipping time with editing :BangHead::BangHead: & on top of that they have to wait for the Chinese side to edit out the scenes that they don't like in the final version of LR so that it can air in China at the same time as it airs in Thailand. From the beginning, they never even had a clear air date for LR; a lot of the cast was saying January or February & we're still waiting lol.
If the story line & acting for NFD is good, then I don't think there will be a problem cuz from what I've seen with BPS, that's what the majority of viewers care about.

Just staring into those eyes, warms my heart. ♡

Songkran is Thai New Years... People tend to travel to visit family and relatives around the country and will gather together to pay respect to their elders and make merits during the 3 days period.

I was a mess after I watched the episode live yesterday.....and I still cried after watching it again with subs. This episode was an emotional roller coaster....but so satisfying.....if that makes any sense....
The romance in this show is mostly limited to looks and swoony sniffs....lol....a bit of touching(although seems more progress in upcoming episode;)) but its still leaves you breathless....every scene of Date and Kade flirting leaves me a bit flushed and a big smile on my face. I'm soooo excited about today...Date is already saying naughty stuff in the previews....so it seems these two will finally go beyond sniffing and blushing.:naughty2:

One thing I wanted to write about since the start of the show was use of the name Krshna-Kali. I had read very different spellings of the mantra name so was not sure but I was right and the pronunciation did sound like Krshna-Kali....So I'll share with you guys where the name comes from.
It's actually not one but two names joined together.....The two are names of very powerful God and Goddess in Hindu mythology...Lord Krshna is the God of Peace, Compassion, Love, Righteousness and Goddess Kali is called the destroyer of evil, She is also called mother of the universe as She has the power to create and destroy.......She was/is worshiped by warrior clans who pray to her before going to war...These two deities have only one thing in common....Their names have a similar meaning...somewhat.....The Dark One/Black One. Maybe that's why the writer chose this name...who knows....:confused12:

I also know now why Date was dressed in Hindu priest outfit....it was coz they were invoking a Hindu High God Shiva during the ritual. The Ling (Idol representation), the conch, the small drum (called dumroo) clothes, the rudraksha necklaces and armlets are all associated with Lord Shiva husband/consort to Goddess Kali.....It is said that when Goddess Kali looses her temper she can destroy the world and the only one who can placate her is Lord Shiva.

I did find two things that bothered me.....I think they needed to do a bit more research on that ritual scene as it was an important scene....and you can easily find stuff about this on google...so it wouldn't have taken much effort.
First... Date put in the offerings in the consecrating fire with his left hand ...VERY BIG no no...another....after that Date went and sat with his back to the havan kund....the consecrating fire.....You NEVER, EVER sit with your back to the consecrating fire...its a sacred fire and you are putting offerings in it to appease the God...you need to sit facing it....or beside it....Even if date was not putting the offerings after the first time he still needed to sit beside it and continue worshiping the idol placed in the front without putting his back to the fire. Usually the fire is placed in the center of the room so that everyone can sit around it ...facing the fire....you can also put it at the front of the room...and everyone can still face it.
Even though I was disappointed by these oversights, I still liked the overall effect of the scene.....and one small thing I noticed and appreciated very much was that Date's dad handled the mantra book correctly....placed between his thumb and fore finger...without pinching it.....touched it to the forehead before handing it over.

Hmm, well, to me it looks okay since I'm Thai. Like I have said before, it's a ritual that is already absorbed into Thai tradition, even though it is originated from Hindi. So I don't think it's weird to have differences in the way the perform the ritual. Thai mixes this and that all the time so it's no surprise. But that's just me, though. Hindi tradition is very deeply rooted in Thai's, but there surely will be different. Thai never really absorbs something from another country exactly the same. We have "American fried rice," "Tokyo" sweets, something like that. Even the way we eat sushit is different, and Buddhism is not 100% Buddhism here too (It is mixed with Hinduism.) I mean, they know, learn, and then they mix it. I don't know how to explain it really. lolol

I didn't cry rivers but oceans today. They all did an amazing job in showing all this strong emotions. PJ was perfect but for me Pope was equally good because it would be so out of character for him to cry a lot or loud but his eyes showed all the pain. As he said in one of the previos episodes just because he doesn't say anything doesn't mean he doesn't believe or in this case feel the same pain. He just convertes it differently. Also Rueng did not only loose his love he also had a strong feeling of guilt because he believed he caused Kade's death which is another dimension emotionally. So bravo from me to both of them. For Bella this girl just wowed me so much in BPS there are no words to describe it.

I was wondering the whole time what you were talking about when you discussed Lo sam pao. Totally missed this part in the preview till I just rewatched it. Still waters run deep and Por Date is not reluctant any more after he returned from France 555

Does anyone know if there is an audio version of the book. I so want to read it but although I can understand Thai I can't read it and who knows when or if they will translate it into English. I would also buy it but haven't found anything. On youtube I just saw the audio script version of the lakorn but I want the whole book itself.
