Chapter 15: Home Sweet Home
5 years later:
Ladies & gentlemen, we are about to land in Thailand's International Airport, please turn off all electronics as we prepare to land. Thank you.
"Thailand sure does look different now..." Sai looked out the window, seeing little speck of dots.
"i can't believe i'm finally home. it's been 5 years since i've been here. can't believe it's been that long.." she smiled to herself.
"oh i can't wait to see mom & dad! i wonder what they will think of me now.. sure they've seen pictures of me, but they haven't seen the real me in person..." she checked her watch, it was almost 5 in the afternoon. She anxiously waited to get off the plane.
Ladies & gentlemen, thank you for flying with us today, please make sure you gather all of your belongs & have a wonderful day. Thank you.
Sai gathered her luggages & waited til everybody in front of her leave. She was dying to get off the plane, she wanted to explore Thailand.
She walked out plane & with every step out of there, her heart began to beat faster & faster.
"why is it so busy today?!" she thought to herself, as she moves slowly with the crowd.
"come on.. people... come on.. i gotta go..." she thought.
She walks to the luggage section & waited for her luggages. She walks towards the food court to buy something to eat, she was starving, she was so excited to be back, she didn't eat anything on the plane.
"deng... baby... you looking sexy... you can be a model... deng… " sai stopped & turned around to see a man licking his lips at her.
“Is he seriously trying to talk to me…?� she chuckled to herself.
"hello beautiful.. you are looking mighty fine today... what is your name..?" he rubs his hands together as he was checking Sai out from head to top.
Sai looked down at her clothes, “Maybe, I shouldn’t have worn this…�

"Saiphon! .... Saiphon! Over here....! " Sai heard her name, she looked around again, but she couldn't see anyone..
Then from a distance, she sees her mom, waving franticly & next to her was her dad.
She left her luggages behind & ran to her mom & dad.
She gave them a big hug & kiss both of them on the cheek. Tears began to well up.
"oh... look at you Sai! all grown up! i didn't recognize you for a second!" Sai's mom touched Sai's face & looked her in the eyes. Her mom began to cry, so excited to have her daughter back at home.
"Look at you mom! still looking young & goregous!" she gave her mom a kiss on the cheek.
"oh... & you dad... still looking handsome!" she gave him a big hug & tears ran down her cheek.
"sweetie... it's nice to see you... we've missed you so much..." he hugged her for a long time, "you've grown into such a beautiful women. we almost didn't recognize you."
"i'm still the same person though!" she chuckles.
"come on sweetie, let's go home.. we have so much catching up to do..." her mom said.
"let's go pumpkin... I'll grab your luggages."
Sai grabbed her mother by the arm & walked out of the airport.
"so glad to be back in Thailad.." she smiled.

"I ended spending one more year in America, something I hadn't planned to do & today, i'm going back to Thailand. I haven't been back in so long, i wonder how everything is like..."
Sithra fidgets in his seat, wanting to get off the plane already. He wants to see his parents already. He hasn't seen them since he left Thailand 5 years ago. He got so caught up in school, he didn't have a chance to visit.
"come on plane... i need to get off.... " he thought to himself. He checked his watch & it was midnight.
The plane came to complete stop & the flight attendant allowed them to leave.
"finally...." he thought.
He went outside to catch a taxi & told him where to go; his parents house. They parents weren't expecting him til next week, but he graduated earlier than he'd hope & he wanted to surprise his parents.
The taxi dropped in at the house. He smiled at the sight of the house.
"Good to be home..." he still had the gate & house keys.
"oh good, they didn't change the locks.." he said as he opened the gate & walked in.
knock knock.
"What is it Tham?!? it's 2 in the morning... i'm trying to sleep..." Wilana scratched her head, very irritated that she was awaken.
"i.. i .. .i think somebody's tryna break in Ma'am..." she stuttered..
"what?! Pongchit! Pongchit! wake up somebody's tryna break in our house!" she screamed.
"huh?! what is it?! who is it?! what's going on!?" Pongchit got up out of bed, looking lost.
"Pongchit! go downstairs & see who it is!!" she whispered.
Pongchit goes downstair, pat in hand, while Wilana followed behind him.
The door rattles & Pongchit gribs harder on the bat. The door opens & Pongchit screams & swings the bat at the door, missing the ‘robber’.
"Don't hit me! it's Sithra! don't hit!" Sithra ducked.
"Mom?! Dad?! Sithra is that you?!?!?" His mom screamed.
Tham turned on the light switch & Wilana & Pongchit sees their son huddle on the ground.
"oh my heavens! Sithra! what are you doing here?! how did you get here!" She dropped to the ground next to Sithra & gave him a hug & a kiss on the cheek.
"Hi to you too mom.." He smiled.
"oh we thought you were a robber.. you scared the crap out of us! what are you doing back a week early son? you told us next week? why today?" his dad asked.
"I was finished early so i decided to surprise you two... SURPRISE!" he laughed.
"it was a surprised alright... you almost gave us a heart attack darling!" Sit laughed even harder.
"come on... let's go have a seat & talk about your flight. My did you get bigger?! You look even more handsome than before!" His mom pinched his cheek.
"ow. mom.. don't do that.. it's embarrassing..." he rubbed his cheek, "the flight was good, just a bit long."
"That's good to hear son, that's good to hear.." his dad said.
"are you hungry son, would you like something to eat?" his mom asked.
"oh no thanks mom... i ate already.. but tomorrow morning you can cook me a BIG meal! I miss your famous cooking!" he smiled.
"okay sweetheart."
"i'm rather tired from the plane ride.." he yawns, "I think i'm going to head off to bed now.."
"okay sweetie, you do that.. it's late anyways & you need your rest."
Sit grabs his luggages & walks upstairs to his old room.
"it feels good to be back... feels real good..." he smiles & jumps on his old bed & quickly dose off.

Pathra: “Hi Wilana, It’s Pathra. I’m throwing a party for Saiphon this Saturday & would like you & your husband to attend.�
Wilana: “Awe, Saiphon is in Thailand already?�
Pathra: “she got in late afternoon yesterday & now we’re planning her 25th birthday/welcome home party. She doesn’t know this yet.�
Wilana laughs, “what a coincidence, Sithra get in this morning too! He was suppose to be fly in next week but he finished up his classes first. Isn’t that just strange!�
Pathra chuckles: “No way… that is really strange. We should all have a get together. Sit & Sai haven’t seen one another in 5 years! It will be like old days.�
Wilana: “oh I would love that. We should do it… uhm… why not do it tonight. Pongchit won’t mind & Sit has nothing better to do. Sai & Sit can catch up on the old days. Just come on by around 7 in the evening.�
Pathra: “oh sounds great. I will tell Deth & Sai.. oh.. please tell Sithra, ‘welcome home’ �

Sai walks to the living room where she saw her mom hanging up the phone.
“Who were you talking to Mom?� she asked as she bit into an apple.
“Oh, it was Sithra’s mom. I was telling her how you are down here. She welcomes you back.�
Sai nods her head & smiles at her mom. Her mom, still sitting on the couch, stared at Sai & smiled.
“what Mom? Why are you looking at me like that..?� She asked.
“You know who else is down here besides you..?� Her mom asked Sai.
Sai looked at her apple, “I don’t know.. who mom?�

Sai’s eye widen when she heard his name, choking on the apple.
“Si… Si.. Si.. Sithra?!� Sai shouted, “I… I .. I thought he wasn’t gonna come back to Thailand!!!�
“Sai, slow down on the apple, you’re gonna choke to death! & who said anything about Sit not coming back to Thailand. He has to help his dad with the family business of course he has to come back.�
Sai caught her breath & waved to her mother that she was fine. Sai’s heart began to beat faster & faster when she heart Sithra’s name. She thought she’d never see him again. She didn’t want to see him again, fearing he would torture her just like the old days.
“but.. but… why mom? What does Sithra have to with me?� Still in shock.
“Well, since you two were close in high school, we figured, our family & his family should have to a get together to catch up on the old days we missed.�
“Me & Sithra… close??? Yeah right.. He hates me with a passion, he’d never wanna see me… I wonder.. how does he look like now…?� Sai’s mind dose off.
“Sai… Sai… are you listening to me…?� her mother asked firmly.
“oh sorry mom.. i.. uh.. I was thinking..�
Her mother scold her, “so we will have a family get together tonight around 7 at his house.�

“Sithra… we will meet sooner than I thought… this will be so much fun… the tables gonna turn now… I will make you regret all the things you have said & done to me… karma’s a bitch & she’s out to get you…I guarantee it…�

Chapter 17: It’s Over
“What…?! I just got back & you’ve invited Sai-glok to the house already!?! Tonight at 7?!? & I have to go to her birthday/welcome back party on Saturday?!? Are you out of your mind Mom!?! If you are please get back in there & rethink this! I have plans tonight mom!?� Sit shouted.
“Sit.. what did I tell you about calling her Sai-glok?… & I am not out of my mind… & what plans? Plans with who? It better not be with that girl May…!� his mom scolded him & put her hands on her hips.
“Why mom..? why are you torturing your ONLY son..? Don’t you love me anymore…?� he pretended to cry.
“torturing you? How am I torturing you? Sai & her parents are just coming over to have dinner & we’re catching up on the old days. How is that torture?� she rolled her eyes.
“But mom… Saiphon.... I just don’t want to see her now… she’s… I’m… she’s…� he didn’t know what to say to his mother.
“All you have to do is stay at home for a few hours & talk with Sai & her parents… is that so hard to do??� his mom was getting irritated with Sithra.

His mom pinches him & Sit lets out a squeal.

His mom walks away, leaving Sit by himself.
He rubs his arm, “Man, that pinch really hurts..� He waited til his mom was out of sight.
“Damn you Saiphon… I haven’t been back for more than a day & you’re making my life miserable already… If I see you… you will get it… it will be worst that in high school… just watch…� he said to himself.
Tham: “Khune Sit, you have a phone call from Mark.�
“oh… yeah.. I’ll take it in here.�
Sit picks up the phone, “what up man!? How is everything?! Man it’s been so long!!� he was excited to hear from Mark.
Mark: “Man,… it sure has been a long time! Are you ready to party!?! I got lots of girls you can choose from. I’ll let you pick!�
Sit grins, “Naw man, all I need is May & I’m good. You know I’m not into the whole hooking up with random girls! So all those girls you can keep to yourself.�
Mark: “awe come on! It’s your first day back in Thailand! Have some fun would you??�
Sit: “hey, I know how to have fun… I don’t need lots of girls to have fun.�
Mark: “okay fine… but what’s new? What’s good with you?�
Sit: “shoot, nothing much man. My mom invited Sai-glok over to dinner tonight at 7… so I can’t leave until they leave.. �

Sit stops by a flower shop & bought a dozen of white roses. Those are her favorite. He sniffs the roses & walks to his car. He wondered how things would be like now, since he hasn’t seen her in 5 years. They talked & emailed one another while he was in New York. He wondered if she’d be excited to see him as he was to see her. The closer he got to her work, the faster his heart beat. He drove in to the parking structured & parked his car. He looked in the mirror to make sure his hair wasn’t out of place. He checked his breath & pressed his shirt.
He walked into the building & went to the receptionist.
Sit: “Excuse me Miss, What floor is May Rangnut’s office?�
“She’s on the 5th floor, her secretary should be in the front of the main lobby,� the receptionist replied. He thanked her & took the elevator.
His heart kept beating faster & faster. He was feel jittery & his palms were getting sweater & sweater.
He walked up to May’s secretary.
“Hi, I’m Sithra, I’m here to see May Rangnut.�

8:05 p.m at Sithra’s house.
“Where the hell is Sithra?!� Wilana paced back & forth in the kitchen, trying to call Sit’s cell.
Saiphon & her parents were at house waiting for Sithra to show up.
“I told him to not be late & he’s still late! I’m gonna kill him when he gets home!� Wilana said frustrated at Sithra for not answering his cell.

Mark felt Sit getting heavier & heavier as he tried to keep Sit from falling but it was too late. Sit fell to the ground, brining Mark with him.

Chapter 19: Hungover - Something Special
Friday Afternoon at DiscoNites Club
"Sit..." knock knock "Sit.." knock knock knock "Open the door man!"
Sit toss & turned in the bed, not wanting to get up.
"Come on Sit, open the door… it's already noon...!" Mark shouts.
"Go away!" Sit shout back.
"Sit, i'm not playing... open up!" the knocks out louder.
Sit grits his teeth & force himself up out of bed to open the door for Mark.
"Man, finally… it's noon! you should be up & about..." Mark walks in the room.
Sit scratches his head, "Man, i have the biggest heahache ever..."
"Mark, i wouldn't be surprise! you over did it with the drinking." Mark crosses his arms.
"Do you have any asprin for this headache... it feels like my head is gonna explode..." Sit rubs his head.
"yeah, its in the draw next to the bed."
Sit digs through the draw & found the aspirins. He took two & lay back down on the bed.
Mark looks at his friend & shakes his head.
"I shouldn't have drunk so damn much! Man... I feel like shit..." Sit closes his eyes.
"Yeah... you had one bottle too many!"
"I was angry... depressed... I needed to find a way to relieve myself..."
"But you shouldn't do it by drinking… that never solves anything dude..." Mark shakes his head again.
"I can't believe May... How could she... & with Wiwat.. I thought we were cool ..! Man... what am i gonna do… What am i gonna do..." Sit stared at the ceiling.
"Don't be so hard on yourself, you're thinking too much. May doesn't deserve you anyhow... specially if she's doing you dirty like that... just leave her alone..." Mark crosses his arms.
"How am i gonna face her now... she messed up big time...!" Sit shouts.
"Just give it time... there are plenty of other girls out there. I'll help you look for another girl... a fine girl with big boobs & with some junk in her trunk..." Mark chuckles.

15 minutes later, he comes out feeling fresh.

Sit, " i don't know man.. what is there to do?" he checks his watch & it reads 1:20, "oh shit! 1:20!? oh man! i totally forget to go home last night! My mom is gonna kill me!" rushing to get his things.
"relax man... i called your mom already... she's cool about it. I told her it was my fault that you didn't come home. & i told her i took you for a drink & you ended up having one too many drinks & you crashed at my dad's club. I left May out of because i know if i tell her she'd lose her mind!"
"thanks man..." feeling relieved, "i owe you.. but i get to going before mom gets on my case again... she's gonna make me pay for not going last night.. i can feel it." Sit said.
"oh man.. hell yeah! She'll probably make you take Sai-glok on a date…" Mark laughs frantically.
"Shut it man... Don't bring the subject of her... it's already bad enough i gotta go see her tomorrow night at her party..." he frowned.

"Oh don't apologize to me! apologize to Sai & her parents for making them wait for you..!" she put her hands on her hip.
Sit threw the stick on the ground... "oh mom... i'm sure i didn't miss much. It's not like yesterday night will be the only time i'll see her! She's here to stay, just like me.."
She rolled her eyes, "either way... you have to make it up to her..."

Sit paces back & forth in his room, "Man, i can't believe Mom is making me buy a gift for Sai-glok... no matter what she wears, jewelry, make-up, dresses, she'll still look ugly... How am i gonna buy it for her...??? I suck at shopping & buying gifts!" he scratch his head & bites his lip.

"ooooh... the second one is gorgeous..." Kat's eye widens.
The pink earrings dangled with diamonds stars. Kat held them to her ears, "what do you think Sit?" she asked.

Sit pulls up to Wunnarot's Banking Company, his dad's company. Kat was standing there waiting for him. She still looks the same after all these year.
"Well look at my handsome cousin..." Kat says as she gets into the car.
"Oh well, you know... i can't disagree with you on that." he smiles at her, "You haven't changed one bit, Kat... but you do look more mature..!"
"That's because I am mature..." she smiled.
Sit drives away & heads for the mall.
In SangDao's Jewelry.
Sit browse through the window.
"So what are you looking for exactly, Sit?"
"I don't know... Mom just said nothing cheap & it has to be real... so here i am... pick something nice Kat & I'll give it to Sai-glok."
"What?! I just can't pick something out!"
"Why not? Sai-glok won't know..." Sit smiled.
"Look, Sit, it's just not right having a girl pick out jewelry for another girl..."
"But we're cousins, so it shouldn't matter..."
"It's not coming from the heart Sit..." she scolded him.
"if i were to pick something from the heart, i would give her brush to brush her nappy hair... that would be my gift... i wouldn't be spending so much on her... i don't even like the girl but since i HAVE to i have to buy her something in here... so come on Kat... help me out here..." he begged her.
"ugh... Sit, it's not hard to pick out something... whatever you think is nice is all."
Sit went back to jewelry hunting & from the corner of his eyes, he seen something that caught his attention, it was pink diamond bracelet with small dangling stars at each ends of the bracelet.
"Kat...� Sit signal Kat in his direction, “what about this one...?"
Kat's jaws dropped, "awe that is just goregous...& you said it was too hard shopping... that is beautiful... she'll love it for sure..."
"eh.. i just wish it wasn't her i was spending money on... but since it's what mom wants... i'll buy Sai-glok this... i don't want to spend a lot of time looking anyways."
Sit takes out his wallet, "Excuse me, Ma'am?" He called the lady who was behind the counter.
"Yes, how can i help you?"
"uh, i would like this pink diamond bracelet."
"oh, this is really nice, you're girlfriend will love it." she smiled at him.
Kat giggles & Sit scowl her.
"uh... yeah... sure... how much is it?"
"It's $500.00 for the bracelet."
Sit's eyes widen, "damn... that's expensive... Man i can't believe i'm spending this much on Sai-glok..." he whispers under his breath.
"Okay, i'll take it, here's my credit card." The lady took his credit card & disappeared to the register.
"Man, $500.00 for that little thing!?! I'm gonna kill myself!" he shrieks.
"Calm down... it's not so bad... at least you're done with the shopping." Kat said.
"Yeah i guess... thanks for coming with me. I gotta ask another favor, come with me tomorrow to Sai-glok's party..."
"mhm...uhm… sure why not. i got nothing else to do. Now i gotta go shopping for her too." kat replied.
"Well, we're here at the mall, so if you wanna shop, might as well do it now." he nods his head.
The lady returns with his credit card & box with the bracelet.
"Here you go sir, thank you for shopping here & i hope you're girlfriend loves it." she smiles at him.
"hey, since you bought her that bracelet, i should buy matching earrings to go with it." Kat said with exciement.
"Excuse Ma'am, are there any pink earrings that will match with the bracelet." Kat asked.
"Yes, we have some, would you like to take a look." The lady pulls out 3 sets of different earrings.
"ooooh... the second one is gorgeous..." Kat's eye widens.
The pink earrings dangled with diamonds stars. Kat held them to her ears, "what do you think Sit?" she asked.
"I guess they look fine... i don't know." Sit shrugs.
"okay, I'll take these. how much are they?" Kat asked.
"The earrings are $350.00."
Kat nods her head & told the lady to ring them up.
"okay... finally we're done... no need to stress over that now..." Sit said to Kat.
Sit & Kat walks back to the car. He drops Kat at home & told her he'll give her a call tomorrow night before going to party. Sit drives off.
The bracelet was in the box in the passenger seat. He looks at the box from the corner of his eyes.
"You better love it Sai-glok... $500.00 isn't gonna go to waste..." he whisper under his breath.

the chapter 19 reminds me of "sassy girl" movie, when cha tae hyun was sneaking in to his room and his mom caught him and whack him. :loool:
