Chapter 39: Time to Heal
'Sai...' Sit whispers under his breath as he rushes to her side. Kirt held her in his arms, unconscious. He pressed a cloth on her head to stop the bleeding.
"Sai!! Sai!! Stay with us okay Sai! Don't go!!" Krit screams, shaking Sai. Sit takes off his jacket & wraps it around her fragil body.
"Sai...please... please don't go... wake up sai...." Sit whispers.
"Where's the ambulance!?!" Krit screams.
"It's, it's, i'ts coming!!" Kat said nervously, still shaken up from the accident.
Just then Mark, Sit's mom, May & Sai's parents rushes downstairs after getting a phone call from Kat.
"Oh my-- Sai!!!!!" Sai's mom runs to Sai's side, "Sai!!! Talk to me Sai!!!!" she shakes Sai, trying to get her to wake up.
"Sweetheart! Sweetheart! Stay with us!" her dad takes her from Krit.
"What happen here?!?!" her mom shouts, tears in her eyes.
"She.. she was hit by a car..." Krit scratches his head, still in shock.
Sit's mom covers her mouth with disbelief, "oh my-- Where's the ambulance!?"
"It should be here soon Auntie, i called already..." Kat replies.
Everybody huddles around Sai, wanting to comfort her. Just then the ambulance came. They rushed out of the car & strap Sai to the board & take her away. Her parents rode with her down to the hospital. Sit & the gang watches as the ambulance disappear out of site.
"Mom... I want you to cancel the party, i'm gonna go to the hospital to see if Sai's okay." Sit told his mom.
"Okay sweetheart. Call me to tell me the news." His mom replies.
Sit walks to the car, leaving everybody behind him.
"Sit!!! Sit!! Wait up!!" May shouts, following Sit, "What are you gonna do about me?"
"Find your own ride home. I gotta see if Sai's alright." he gets into his car but May holds the door.
"Wait!! You're just gonna leave me here!? I'm hurt too you know Sit!!" May whines.
"Sai just got hit by a car!!! You just got slapped! Her life is on the line right now! How selfish can you be!? I don't have time for you right now. I don't want to deal with you anymore. We're through." Sit closes the door.
"Wait! Wait! Sit, listen to me! open this door!!" May bangs on the window & tries to door, but it was lock.
Sit shakes his head & drives off.
Shortly after Sit left, Krit decided to go visit Sai at the hospital along with Mark & Kat.
"We better hurry... I hope Sai's alright..." Kat looks at Mark.
"I hope so too Kat... I hope so..." Mark replies.

At the hospital, Sai's parent waits by the Emergency Room, waiting for someone to come out & tell them about their daughter's condition. Sai's dad comforts her mom. "She'll be okay sweetheart, she won't leave us now..." her dad says, hugging his wife.
Sit rushes to Sai's parents & ask them about Sai's condition. They told him they weren't sure. Sit paces back & forth in front of the ER, scared out of his life, fearing that she might not make it & feeling guilty because he was the cause of this whole mess.
'If only... if only i hadn't been such a jerk to her...' he shakes his head & takes a seat, putting one hand on his head.
"Sit!! Sit!!" Kat rushes to Sit, "how is she???" she breathes nervously.
"I... i don't know... no one has come out yet..." Sit replies.
Kat puts her hand on his hand, "she'll be fine.." she gives him a weak smile.
Mark sits next to Sit, "Hey man... she'll be fine... don't worry..." patting his friend on the back for comfort.
"How can i not worry!? I'm the reason why she's in there!" he shouts, anger builds up inside. He hits himself on the head, "I'm stupid! I'm so stupid! If only i hadn't said those things to her! She wouldn't be in there right now!!" Sit puts his head down, not wanting Kat & Mark to see tears in his eyes.
Kat rubs his back, "Sit... it's not your fault... it's just... a misunderstanding that's all.... don't be too hard on yourself."
Sit wipes his tears & gets up out of his seat. He walks to the ER room & puts a hand on the door, 'Sai... please wake up... don't leave me now...' he whispers, feeling the tears slide down his cheek.
Just then Krit rushes in, "How... how is Sai??" Krit ask her parents.
They shook their heads to tell him they haven't had news. Krit peers in the ER room, hoping to see Sai in there. He paces back & forth, not talking to anyone.
Kat walks up to Sit & taps his shoulder, "Sit..."
"hmm?" he looks up at her.
"Sai drop this..." she shows him the pink diamond bracelet he bought her. Sit takes it from her & holds it in hand. He remembers he told her the bracelet was a worthless piece of shit, just like the person wearing it. He shakes his head, feeling the knot in his stomach tighten. He holds the bracelet tighter in his hand.
They wait for an hour before the doctor finally comes out.
"Doctor!! How.. how is she? how's my daughter???" Sai's mom ask, hold tight to her husband's hand.
The doctor smiles, "She'll be fine. She's a lucky one alright. She broke her right arm & got a big cut on her head, but other than that, nothing too serious to worry about. Though she'll have to stay at the hospital for about 3 weeks."
Sai's parents took a deep breath of relief. "Oh thank goodness..! I was worried..." her mother wipes her tears.
A smile appears on Sit's face, happy to know Sai had made it through.
"We'll be taking her to the room in a few minutes, We still gotta bandage her up. I just came out here to let you know the news." he smiles & excuse himself.
"You hear that hunnie! Our baby's fine!" her mom shouts & gives her husband a hug, smiling with joy.
"I told you she'll be fine." her husband smiles at her.
Kat taps Sit on the shoulder, "Are you happy now? She's fine." Kat smiles at Sit.
Sit smiles at her & waits for the Sai to come out of the ER, 'Thank you lord... thank you...' Sit whispers.
20 minutes later, the nurses pushes Sai out of the ER room, her head was bandaged up. Her right arm was in a cast. She had bits of scratches on her face. Her parents rushes to her, grabbing her hand to & telling her they were there for her. The nurses pushes her to her room & let her parents, Sit, Kat, Krit & Mark stay with Sai for a little bit.
"Thank you all so much for helping our daughter. Things could’ve been worst! Thank you so much. You are all too kind." Sai's mom smiles at them.
"Yes, thank you again. We're gonna spend the night here with our daughter. So you don't have to worry about anything now. Thank you once again." Sai's dad smiles at them.
Krit, Kat & Mark look at Sai one last time before leaving. Sit stayed behind because he needed to speak to her parents.
"Mama Sai... I have something to tell you..." Sit said, feeling his heart beating fast, "All this is my fault..." he tells them.
Sai's mom looks at Sit with confusion, "What.. what do you mean?"
"Sai wouldn't have been in the hospital if it wasn't for me. May & her got into a little fight & i defended May instead of her & Sai stormed off & that's when this happens.." he points to Sai on the bed.
"Sithra, sweetheart, it's nobody's fault. Things happen. You can't blame it on yourself." She looks at him, "I don't want you to think that... You've been so nice to her all these years & I couldn’t ask for more. She really adores you Sithra, you make her happy. She doesn't have that many friends, but i'm glad that you're still friends with her after all these years. It really means a lot to her..." She smiles at him.
Sit felt a sicken feeling inside of him. His mind filled with guilt & sadness. "Thank you for thinking that..." Sit looks at Sai, "Would it be okay if i take care of Sai, I want to help her out when she wakes up..."
"Sure... no problem Sithra, you're welcome anytime." her dad smiles at him, "but tonight we'll take care of her, you look tired so you should go home & get some rest." her dad pats him on the back. Sit nods his head & thank them again & left the room.
Sit walks slowly out the room, still in shock of what happen tonight. The feeling of guilt fills his mind. 'i'm such a dumbass!' he shakes his head. He drives home, images of Sai still in mind, not wanting to erase. The words from Sai's mom repeated in his mind. 'Sai really adores you.... you make her happy... thank you for being her friend... it means a lot..' he shakes his head with anger.
'why!? Why was i such an asshole to her!?' he jumps onto his bed, laying lifeless, staring on the celing.
He reminisces all the things he has done to her in high school, remember all the shit he has put her through. From treating her like a dog, to chasing her away like dog. He recalls being nice to her just so she can do his homework for him. Or the time he threw a basketball in her face, because she cheering for him at basketball practice. Or that time when he tripped her in front of everybody & everybody laughed in her face.
The worst of them all was prom night. He remembered it like it was yesterday. She wanted to sit next to him but he forced her to another table. Or when he left her stranded on prom night, after she just got beaten up by May. The images of that plays vividly in his mind. It never erase from his mind. A tear falls down his cheek, remembering tonight & what Sai had said to him, how she promise she'll never bother him again before she walk out on him. Sit gets up out bed, & walks back & forth in his room. He slams his hand on his hand on the desk. He looks down & sees a card, realizing it's a birthday card from Sai, his mom must've left it for him.
In it, it writes, " Dear Sithra, Just wanna wish you a happy birthday. Have a wonderful birthday... & I hope all your wishes are fulfilled. I know you probably won't read this, but just in case you do, I just want to tell you I'm sorry... I'm sorry for sleeping with Mark, i should've have taken it that far. I know you've heard me say it over but i truly am sorry. I know my apologizes don't mean much to you because in your eyes i'm worthless & my words don't mean anything to you. But don't worry, I won't ruin your life anymore, this is the final goodbye... xoxo Sai"
Sit drops the card on the floor, & once again the feeling of guilt tightens his thoughts. He shakes his head, feeling horrible about himself. What Sai has done with Mark can be forgiven & forgotten but all the things he has put Sai through is hard to erase. She has scars to prove them. The night of prom, when he toss her on the ground, he left a mark on her knee. The night he captured her & tortured her, has left a mark on her. He rubs his hand on his face, angry at himself, angry at May, angry at the whole world.
'why...? why am i such an asshole?' he ask himself. Images of Sai on the floor bleeding after she had cut herself flashes his mind.

Two days later, Sai finally woke up to see her parents by herself. She tries to get up but her head hurts too much.
"Sai, sweetie! you're awake!" her mom helps her up on the bed, "take it easy, your bandages are still new..."
"What... what happen to me mom?" Sai looks down & felt her head.
"Oh sweetheart, you got hit by a car... you've been asleep for 2 days." her mom replies, fixing her blanket.
"Hit by a car...?" she ask in confusion, "i don't remember... i remember seeing a bright yellow light..." she touches her head, still in pain.
"It's okay if you don't remember. the good thing is your alive!" her mom hugs her gently.
"You gave us a scare Sai... we thought you were gonna leave us behind." her dad squeeze her hand.
"I won't do that dad." She smiles weakly.
"Are you hungry sweetie?" Her mom ask her.
"Just a little bit."
"Okay good, Sithra went to get it for you." her mom smiles.
"Si...Sithra?" Sai ask.
"uh-huh sweetie, he's gonna take care of you. He's been here the past two days taking care of you, while you were lying restless." her mom response.
Sai looks at her mom with confusion, unsure if she heard it right. Just then Sithra walks through the door with some food. He sees Sai sitting up & smiles ear to ear at her.
Sai looks at him with no expression on her face, she turns away from his stare.
"Sai sweetheart, Sit's gonna take you. Your dad has an important meeting at work & he's gonna be busy all week. & i have important clients flying in to meet me so i can't take care of you. Sit offer to take care of you sweetheart. aren't you happy?" Sai's mom squeezes her hand. Sai doesn't say anything, she stares out the window.
"I'll take good care of her." he tells her parents.
"Thank you so much Sithra, you're a nice young man. Sai sweetheart, we have to go. We'll come visit when we get the chance." Her parents both kiss her on the cheek & left.
Sit stares at Sai who was still avoiding him. Sai didn't want to speak to him. She wasn't in the mood & she surely him to be there.
"hm.. are you hungry Sai? I brought you something to eat." Sit said, getting the spoon ready. Sai doesn't answer him.
"Sai, you have to eat something... you haven't ate in 2 days." Sit says. Sai still doesn't answer him.
"Okay fine.. I'll just have to feed you myself then.." he scopes up a spoonful of soup & brings it close to her mouth.
"But i--" he forces spoon of soup in her mouth. Sai chews the noodles in her mouth & looks at Sit.
"See... that's not that hard, was it?" He smiles at her. Sai stares at him, still chewing the noodles.
Sai takes the spoon from him & begins to eat by herself. He snatches it away from her. "Sai, just stay still, i'll feed you like i told you."
"I don't need you to feed me, I can do it by myself." she reaches for the spoon but couldn't reach it.
"I know you can do it by yourself, but i want to help you. I'm here to help you Sai." he replies, staring deep into her eyes.
Sai slouches back on the pillow & pouts.
"Good... just sit there & i feed you." He smiles leaning in closer to ear, "i'm gonna take good care of you Sai..." he whispers. Sai moves away from him.
He finishes feeding her & calls the nurse in to check up on her. The nurse gave her some medicine to take & told her to get some rest. Sit helps her lay back down. He watches as she gets comfortable, Sai gives him an evil look & turns on her side, not wanting to see him. She slowly drifts to sleep. Sit walks around the bed to see if she had fallen asleep & surely enough she was dead asleep. He fixes her blanket & leans down to give her a kiss on the cheek. He smiles to himself & walks out the room.
After the door closes, Sai opens her eyes & peers around the room, making sure he was gone.
'why is he being nice to me...?' Sai had a confuse look on her face. 'i wonder what he's up to this time...' She rolls back on her side & dose off to sleep.
The two weeks Sai has been in the hospital, Sit has shown her a side she’s never seen. He took extra care of her. If she needed something, he never hesitated to get it for her. He was always there when she woke up. He slept on the sofa in the room. Sometimes when she slept, he would decorate the room with pink roses so when she would wake up the smell of roses. It surprises Sai, but she never said anything. He bought her a stuffed bear so she can cuddle with in while she sleeps. & If he needed to leave, he would tell her. He helped her to the bathroom, & he'd tuck her in whenever she was ready to sleep. He'd even read to her, something she thought would ever happen. Sai never did brought up the incident. She rarely talk to him, actually. She just let him take care of her. At times Sit would take her downstairs to get some fresh air. He'd pick the roses for her, she would take them without saying anything. Sometimes Sit would tell her random stories or jokes just to make her smile or laugh, though Sai doesn't really say much to him. She just listens to him talk randomly, she tried not to seem interested in his stories, but in reality she enjoyed his company. She never knew he could be such a sweetheart.
Then suddenly Sit just stop coming. At first, she didn't think much of it, but then that one day turned into a week & it was time for her to leave the hospital. Sit had told her he was going to take her home, but he was a no show. She waited for him to walk through the door, still confused by he hasn't been around.
Just then Krit & Kat walks through the door. "Hi Sai, we're here to take you home." Kat smiles at him.
"Oh Hi Kat, Krit." Sai smiles, still looking at the door waiting for Sit to walk through it.
Kat notice Sai looking at the door, "Waiting for Sithra huh?" Kat smiles at her.
"huh? what? oh uh.. no." Sai chuckles nervously.
Krit chuckles, "he's not coming Sai..."
"huh? I wasn't waiting for Sit! I was ... just looking at the door..." She lied.
Kat giggles, "okay, if you say so. Sit left already."
"Left? what do you mean left?" Sai's heart drop to her stomach.
"He... he didn't tell you?" Kat looks at Sai with confusion.
"No, where did he go?" Sai ask, not trying to sound desperate.
"Oh, i thought Sit told you already... he left to Australia. Sit's dad wanted him to work at his bank all the way in Australia, since his dad's banking company is going international & it's opening the first bank in Australia... Sit said he was going to tell you..." Kat's face turns into sadness.
Sai stares blankly at the wall, sadness fills thoughts.
"I guess that's why he wanted me to give you this..." Kat digs in her purse & hands her a card.
Sai takes the card, opens it up slowly & reads it.
"Saiphon... by the time you get this, i will be in Australia already. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I didn't know how to tell you actually. I'm sure you don't care if i leave or not. Since i didn't get a chance to tell you in person, i'll write it in a card. Sai... I want you to know that I'm sorry for all the things i've put you through in high school. I know you've heard my apologizes before, but i truly am sorry. I feel guilty whenever i think about it or whenever i'm with you. I've realize that you're a sweet person inside & out. I've fallen in love with you. The past 2 weeks I’ve spend with you in the hospital has been amazing. I love waking up & seeing your face. It just brightens my day. Just being next to you makes me happy. It’s the best feeling in the world & I’ve never felt anything like this. You’ve open my eyes Saiphon & made me realize that I love you… I truly love you with all of my heart. You’ve touched my heart & my soul. Whenever I’m with you, I just feel special… I just wish I could take back everything that I’ve put you through. But I can’t & that’s what I have to live with. I hope one day you can fully forgive me. I love you Saiphon… I’m sorry we have to part ways… one day we will meet again, I promise. Love Sithra.�

"Sai wouldn't have been in the hospital if it wasn't for me. May & her got into a little fight & i defended May instead of her & Sai stormed off & that's when this happens.." he points to Sai on the bed.
"Sithra, sweetheart, it's nobody's fault. Things happen. You can't blame it on yourself." She looks at him, "I don't want you to think that... You've been so nice to her all these years & I couldn’t ask for more. She really adores you Sithra, you make her happy. She doesn't have that many friends, but i'm glad that you're still friends with her after all these years. It really means a lot to her..." She smiles at him.
Sit felt a sicken feeling inside of him. His mind filled with guilt & sadness. "Thank you for thinking that..." Sit looks at Sai, "Would it be okay if i take care of Sai, I want to help her out when she wakes up..."
"Sure... no problem Sithra, you're welcome anytime." her dad smiles at him, "but tonight we'll take care of her, you look tired so you should go home & get some rest." her dad pats him on the back. Sit nods his head & thank them again & left the room.
Sit walks slowly out the room, still in shock of what happen tonight. The feeling of guilt fills his mind. 'i'm such a dumbass!' he shakes his head. He drives home, images of Sai still in mind, not wanting to erase. The words from Sai's mom repeated in his mind. 'Sai really adores you.... you make her happy... thank you for being her friend... it means a lot..' he shakes his head with anger.
'why!? Why was i such an asshole to her!?' he jumps onto his bed, laying lifeless, staring on the celing.
He reminisces all the things he has done to her in high school, remember all the shit he has put her through. From treating her like a dog, to chasing her away like dog. He recalls being nice to her just so she can do his homework for him. Or the time he threw a basketball in her face, because she cheering for him at basketball practice. Or that time when he tripped her in front of everybody & everybody laughed in her face.
The worst of them all was prom night. He remembered it like it was yesterday. She wanted to sit next to him but he forced her to another table. Or when he left her stranded on prom night, after she just got beaten up by May. The images of that plays vividly in his mind. It never erase from his mind. A tear falls down his cheek, remembering tonight & what Sai had said to him, how she promise she'll never bother him again before she walk out on him. Sit gets up out bed, & walks back & forth in his room. He slams his hand on his hand on the desk. He looks down & sees a card, realizing it's a birthday card from Sai, his mom must've left it for him.
In it, it writes, " Dear Sithra, Just wanna wish you a happy birthday. Have a wonderful birthday... & I hope all your wishes are fulfilled. I know you probably won't read this, but just in case you do, I just want to tell you I'm sorry... I'm sorry for sleeping with Mark, i should've have taken it that far. I know you've heard me say it over but i truly am sorry. I know my apologizes don't mean much to you because in your eyes i'm worthless & my words don't mean anything to you. But don't worry, I won't ruin your life anymore, this is the final goodbye... xoxo Sai"
Sit drops the card on the floor, & once again the feeling of guilt tightens his thoughts. He shakes his head, feeling horrible about himself. What Sai has done with Mark can be forgiven & forgotten but all the things he has put Sai through is hard to erase. She has scars to prove them. The night of prom, when he toss her on the ground, he left a mark on her knee. The night he captured her & tortured her, has left a mark on her. He rubs his hand on his face, angry at himself, angry at May, angry at the whole world.
'why...? why am i such an asshole?' he ask himself. Images of Sai on the floor bleeding after she had cut herself flashes his mind.

Two days later, Sai finally woke up to see her parents by herself. She tries to get up but her head hurts too much.
"Sai, sweetie! you're awake!" her mom helps her up on the bed, "take it easy, your bandages are still new..."
"What... what happen to me mom?" Sai looks down & felt her head.
"Oh sweetheart, you got hit by a car... you've been asleep for 2 days." her mom replies, fixing her blanket.
"Hit by a car...?" she ask in confusion, "i don't remember... i remember seeing a bright yellow light..." she touches her head, still in pain.
"It's okay if you don't remember. the good thing is your alive!" her mom hugs her gently.
"You gave us a scare Sai... we thought you were gonna leave us behind." her dad squeeze her hand.
"I won't do that dad." She smiles weakly.
"Are you hungry sweetie?" Her mom ask her.
"Just a little bit."
"Okay good, Sithra went to get it for you." her mom smiles.
"Si...Sithra?" Sai ask.
"uh-huh sweetie, he's gonna take care of you. He's been here the past two days taking care of you, while you were lying restless." her mom response.
Sai looks at her mom with confusion, unsure if she heard it right. Just then Sithra walks through the door with some food. He sees Sai sitting up & smiles ear to ear at her.
Sai looks at him with no expression on her face, she turns away from his stare.
"Sai sweetheart, Sit's gonna take you. Your dad has an important meeting at work & he's gonna be busy all week. & i have important clients flying in to meet me so i can't take care of you. Sit offer to take care of you sweetheart. aren't you happy?" Sai's mom squeezes her hand. Sai doesn't say anything, she stares out the window.
"I'll take good care of her." he tells her parents.
"Thank you so much Sithra, you're a nice young man. Sai sweetheart, we have to go. We'll come visit when we get the chance." Her parents both kiss her on the cheek & left.
Sit stares at Sai who was still avoiding him. Sai didn't want to speak to him. She wasn't in the mood & she surely him to be there.
"hm.. are you hungry Sai? I brought you something to eat." Sit said, getting the spoon ready. Sai doesn't answer him.
"Sai, you have to eat something... you haven't ate in 2 days." Sit says. Sai still doesn't answer him.
"Okay fine.. I'll just have to feed you myself then.." he scopes up a spoonful of soup & brings it close to her mouth.
"But i--" he forces spoon of soup in her mouth. Sai chews the noodles in her mouth & looks at Sit.
"See... that's not that hard, was it?" He smiles at her. Sai stares at him, still chewing the noodles.
Sai takes the spoon from him & begins to eat by herself. He snatches it away from her. "Sai, just stay still, i'll feed you like i told you."
"I don't need you to feed me, I can do it by myself." she reaches for the spoon but couldn't reach it.
"I know you can do it by yourself, but i want to help you. I'm here to help you Sai." he replies, staring deep into her eyes.
Sai slouches back on the pillow & pouts.
"Good... just sit there & i feed you." He smiles leaning in closer to ear, "i'm gonna take good care of you Sai..." he whispers. Sai moves away from him.
He finishes feeding her & calls the nurse in to check up on her. The nurse gave her some medicine to take & told her to get some rest. Sit helps her lay back down. He watches as she gets comfortable, Sai gives him an evil look & turns on her side, not wanting to see him. She slowly drifts to sleep. Sit walks around the bed to see if she had fallen asleep & surely enough she was dead asleep. He fixes her blanket & leans down to give her a kiss on the cheek. He smiles to himself & walks out the room.
After the door closes, Sai opens her eyes & peers around the room, making sure he was gone.
'why is he being nice to me...?' Sai had a confuse look on her face. 'i wonder what he's up to this time...' She rolls back on her side & dose off to sleep.
The two weeks Sai has been in the hospital, Sit has shown her a side she’s never seen. He took extra care of her. If she needed something, he never hesitated to get it for her. He was always there when she woke up. He slept on the sofa in the room. Sometimes when she slept, he would decorate the room with pink roses so when she would wake up the smell of roses. It surprises Sai, but she never said anything. He bought her a stuffed bear so she can cuddle with in while she sleeps. & If he needed to leave, he would tell her. He helped her to the bathroom, & he'd tuck her in whenever she was ready to sleep. He'd even read to her, something she thought would ever happen. Sai never did brought up the incident. She rarely talk to him, actually. She just let him take care of her. At times Sit would take her downstairs to get some fresh air. He'd pick the roses for her, she would take them without saying anything. Sometimes Sit would tell her random stories or jokes just to make her smile or laugh, though Sai doesn't really say much to him. She just listens to him talk randomly, she tried not to seem interested in his stories, but in reality she enjoyed his company. She never knew he could be such a sweetheart.
Then suddenly Sit just stop coming. At first, she didn't think much of it, but then that one day turned into a week & it was time for her to leave the hospital. Sit had told her he was going to take her home, but he was a no show. She waited for him to walk through the door, still confused by he hasn't been around.
Just then Krit & Kat walks through the door. "Hi Sai, we're here to take you home." Kat smiles at him.
"Oh Hi Kat, Krit." Sai smiles, still looking at the door waiting for Sit to walk through it.
Kat notice Sai looking at the door, "Waiting for Sithra huh?" Kat smiles at her.
"huh? what? oh uh.. no." Sai chuckles nervously.
Krit chuckles, "he's not coming Sai..."
"huh? I wasn't waiting for Sit! I was ... just looking at the door..." She lied.
Kat giggles, "okay, if you say so. Sit left already."
"Left? what do you mean left?" Sai's heart drop to her stomach.
"He... he didn't tell you?" Kat looks at Sai with confusion.
"No, where did he go?" Sai ask, not trying to sound desperate.
"Oh, i thought Sit told you already... he left to Australia. Sit's dad wanted him to work at his bank all the way in Australia, since his dad's banking company is going international & it's opening the first bank in Australia... Sit said he was going to tell you..." Kat's face turns into sadness.
Sai stares blankly at the wall, sadness fills thoughts.
"I guess that's why he wanted me to give you this..." Kat digs in her purse & hands her a card.
Sai takes the card, opens it up slowly & reads it.
"Saiphon... by the time you get this, i will be in Australia already. I'm sorry I didn't tell you. I didn't know how to tell you actually. I'm sure you don't care if i leave or not. Since i didn't get a chance to tell you in person, i'll write it in a card. Sai... I want you to know that I'm sorry for all the things i've put you through in high school. I know you've heard my apologizes before, but i truly am sorry. I feel guilty whenever i think about it or whenever i'm with you. I've realize that you're a sweet person inside & out. I've fallen in love with you. The past 2 weeks I’ve spend with you in the hospital has been amazing. I love waking up & seeing your face. It just brightens my day. Just being next to you makes me happy. It’s the best feeling in the world & I’ve never felt anything like this. You’ve open my eyes Saiphon & made me realize that I love you… I truly love you with all of my heart. You’ve touched my heart & my soul. Whenever I’m with you, I just feel special… I just wish I could take back everything that I’ve put you through. But I can’t & that’s what I have to live with. I hope one day you can fully forgive me. I love you Saiphon… I’m sorry we have to part ways… one day we will meet again, I promise. Love Sithra.�
Sai's eyes filled with tears, She drops the card out of her hand, "he... he left"
Kat squeeze her hand, "I'm sorry Sai... i thought you knew..." She reaches in her purse & grabs a small box, "This is yours Sai..."
Sai takes the box & pulls out the pink diamond bracelet.

Chapter 40: Destination: Love
'i can't believe he's gone...' Sai looks at the bracelet, still in shock.
"He had to leave right away, Sai..." Krit replies. "You'll be fine... maybe it's better this way..."
Sai wipes her tears, "It's nothing you guys, let's get out of here...." she puts the bracelet in the box & Krit helps her to the car.
They drop Sai off at her house. They stayed & chat for a bit. Sai tried to pretend that Sit wasn't on her mind, but she couldn't focus, her mind ends up drifting back to him.
"Sai..." Kat calls her.
"hm...?" Sai looks at Kat, realizing she had zone out again.
"You miss him don't you?" Kat gives her a weak smile.
"Miss who? Sithra?" Sai chuckles. kat nods at her. Sai puts her head down, "yes.. i do... i really do..."
Kat takes her hand, "it's okay Sai... you'll be fine. just you wait. You won't even know he's gone!" she tries to cheer up Sai.
A tear falls down Sai's cheek, "I never... i never got to thank him for taking care of me... he thinks i hate him..." she wipes her tear, "but i don't... I've never hated him... evevn after all the things he's put me through, physically & mentally, i still..." Sai pause, "I still love him..."
Kat rubs her back, comforting her now.
"Come on Sai, don't do this... you'll be fine..." Krit says, sitting next to her.
"He'll come back one day... just wait..." Kat says.
"I'm so stupid... i should've just believed him when he told me he loves me... I should've just gave up trying to get revenge on him... he's out of my life now & i don't know how i'm going to move on now..." Sai looks at Kat & Krit, "It was hard the first time, trying to get over him i mean. but now that he's gone again... i don't know if i can do it. He's shown me the sweet & sensitive side of him, a side that i'd always wanted to see... but now i won't ever get to see it again... He's out of my life forever..." she cries.
"You can't say that Sai... you don't know that for sure. He might not be there for long..� Kat says.
“Just give it a few days Sai… I promise you’ll be back to normal.� Krit smiles at her. Sai gives him a weak smile.
“You will Sai.� Kat squeeze her hand, “Sai, we have to go now… we’ll come by tomorrow to check on you okay.� Krit & Kat gets up & stands in front of Sai.
“oh okay… let me walk you to the door.� Sai gets up & notice that Krit & Kat were holding hands. Her eyes widen, “wait… are … are you two dating??�
Kat blushes & Krit chuckles, “yeah… we kinda are…� Kat says, blushing & giggling at Krit.
“kinda are?? Or we are?� Krit ask Kat, smiling at her.
“We are dating…� Kat smiles at Sai.
“Awe… I’m sorry for talking so much about Sit… how selfish of me… how long have you two been dating?� Sai smiles at them.
“Well, let’s say you brought her & I close together…� Krit looks at Kat, squeezing her hand.
“Awe, that’s cute.� She smiles thinking of Sit.
“We should be going, we got reservations for tonight.� Krit said.
Sai walks them to the door & watches them leave. She closes it & smiles to herself, ‘Krit & Kat… I would’ve never guessed.’ She walks to her room, the looks at the stuffed bear, the card & the box Sit had given her. She sits next to the things. She hugs the teddy bear tight with left arm, her right arm was still in a cast, and she won’t get it remove for another month. She could smell the scent of Sit’s cologne on the teddy bear. She puts down the teddy bear & picks up the box with the diamond bracelet in it. She takes the bracelet out & puts it around the teddy bears’ wrist, wanting to feel closer to Sit. She place the card on her desk. She lays back down & hugs tight to her teddy bear, thinking about Sit & missing him dearly. A tear rolled down her cheeks as she think of the time he spent with her at the hospital.
‘why Sit… Why did you leave me…?’ she whispers in sorrow.

It’s been two months since Sit has left & not a day goes by that Sai doesn’t think of him. She sleeps with his teddy bear held closely to hear heart. She reads his card every night before going to sleep & not a night goes by that she doesn’t dream of him, dream that one day they will meet again & start things over. She’d have the same dream of him over & over. She’s running to him, she’s stuck in a maze & she needs to find her way out… she’s trying to get back to Sithra but she never reaches her destination. She falls into a dark hole. Then she wakes up from this nightmare. She cries at the thought of the dream.
Ever since Sithra left, she’s been trying to keep herself busy so she wouldn’t think of him. She’ll go out with Kat to the mall, to the clubs, the beaches & even parties, but everywhere she went the thought of Sit wanders into her thoughts. She’d see couples together & she’ll get depress because She would be reminded of Sit. She’ll go to the beach & think of Sit & prom night & the first time they had done it. She couldn’t escape it, everywhere she went, made her think of Sit & it was killing her softly & slowly. She missed him more & more. There were times where she locked herself in her room, shutting herself from the world, not wanting to move on & wanting Sit back.
Krit tried to help her out, but he was no success. Her parents didn’t know how to help their daughter either. They’d invite her over to the house, but she just wasn’t the same person as before. She wasn’t the same energetic Saiphon. She has changed into a different person.
One day, Sai went over to her parents’ house to have dinner, hoping she can get her mind off of Sit.
“Saiphon sweetheart, how are you?� her mom kisses her on the cheek & gives her a hug.
“I’m doing good mom, never been better…� she lied, smiling faintly.
“That’s good Sai, are you hungry yet? We can eat now, if you want.� Her mom asks.
“Sure, let’s eat, I’m starved.� Sai rubs her stomach & giggles. Sai helps her mom set up the table. Just then her dad walks in.
“Sai, sweetie, how are you?� He walks over to Sai & gives her a hug & a kiss on the cheek.
“I’m doing good Dad, are you ready to eat?� She asked.
“Yes, let’s eat, I’m hungry.� He sits down on the table.
“So dad, how’s work?� Sai eats her food.
“Work is going good, can’t complain. How about you sweetheart? How are you holding up?� He ask in a concern tone.
“I’m doing fine dad… don’t worry. Thanks for letting me take a vacation…� she smiles at her dad.
“No problem sweetheart, you need it. You’ve been through a lot. Whenever you’re ready to come back to work just let me know.� He smiles at her.
“I’ll let you know. Next week I’ll be able to work again. My arm’s healing a lot faster than I thought.� Sai bends her right arm to show her dad.
“That’s good sweetie.� He chews his food.
“Oh Sai, this weekend, Sit’s parents are celebrating their anniversary. They’re going to renew their vows & they would like our family to come...� Her mom told Sai.
“oh… okay..� Sai looks at her food, “Is.. is Sit going to be there…?� She asks nervously.
“I’m afraid not Sai… His mom told me he’s loaded with work. I’m sorry Sai… I know you really want to see him.� Her mom touches her hand.
“It’s okay Mom…� Sai felt her stomach tighten, feeling sick to her stomach, “I’m dealing with it.� She smiles weakly, “& don’t worry mom, I’ll go. Sit’s parents have been nice to me all these years.� Sai finishes her food in silent. Her parents watch her in silence, not wanting to force her to talk.

Sit’s parents anniversary [Saturday]
Sai’s mom gave her a dress to wear. It was a ivory dress. It was a halter top dress which came down to the ground. She had her hair curled & put in a pony tail to the side with a pink lily in her hair. She wore the eyes Kat had given her. She decided to wear Sit’s bracelet, seeing that her arm looks plain. Sai looks in the mirror before leaving, checking to make sure everything’s in place. She force a smile on her face, ‘all set..’ she press down on her dress. She grabs her things & left her house. She told her parents she would meet them at the party. They were having it at Sai’s dad hotel.
Sai arrives at the hotel 20 minutes late. She took longer than she had hope. She rushes into the hall & finds her parents, glad that the ceremony hadn’t started yet.
“Sorry mom… I took longer than I had expected…� she whispers giving her mom a hug.
“It’s okay, we’re waiting on Sit’s mom right now.� Sai looks around & spots Krit & Kat together, she smiles to herself, seeing how happy they are. The she spots Mark with Jane, her eyes widen, ‘Mark & Jane…? Wow..’ she chuckles to herself & she’s the only one who didn’t have anyone.
“Hey mom… I’m gonna go sit with Kat & them…� Sai whispers to her mom. She gets up & walks over to Krit & Kat.
Kat’s face lid up when she sees Sai, “Sai, you look beautiful… you look like you’re about to get married…!� she shouts, getting up to give Sai a hug.
“Me? Get married? I don’t even have a boyfriend…� she chuckles.
“Hi Sai!� Mark waves at her. Sai smiles at him, seeing Jane & Mark, holding hands. Sai smiles at Jane too.
“Since when did the two of you started dating??� She looks at them, crossing her arms.
“Krit introduced us…� Jane replies blushing.
“Yes… & Since then we’ve been really close… & now we’re dating..� Mark looks at Jane & smiles.
Sai chuckle & looks at Krit, “are you playing cupid or what?�
“what? No…� he laughs.
Sai sits down next to Kat & waited for the ceremony to start. The place was decorated in a white & pink theme, something she wanted for her wedding. Pink & white roses everywhere, just the way she likes it.
She scans the room, hoping to see a familiar face: Sithra. Sai felt a tap on her shoulder. She turns around to see a man holding a bouquet of pink rose.
“Excuse me… are you Saiphon?� he ask her.
“yes, yes I am.� She smiles.
“These are for you then…� Sai took them out of his hand & smells the roses.
“Who are these from?� She ask the man.
“It’s from that man over there near the entrance… I don’t know his name…� The man points to a stranger near the door, Sai couldn’t make out who he was.
“Oh okay… thank you…� Sai gets up & walks towards the entrance to look for the man. He wasn’t anywhere to be found. She walks to the lobby, but no one in sight but the valet parkers. She walks to the side of the hotel, near the beach, but no one in sight. She drops the roses to her side, disappointed & hoping it was Sithra. She walks slowly back to the hall.
Sai walks through the crowd of people in the hall, she got to the middle of the floor when someone calls her name. “Saiphon…,� the person whispers.
Sai froze immediately, roses drop to her side, her heart beat faster & faster, her throat dried up, she couldn’t move.
“Saiphon…� the person whispers. Sai turn around slowly & Sit was in front of her, smiling ear to ear. Everybody that was around her suddenly moved away & stared at the two of them.
Sai’s jaw drops. She drops the bouquet of roses & covers her mouth in shock.
“Sit..Sithra…� She whispers, feeling herself get choked up.
Sit walks closer to her until they were face to face.
“Hi Saiphon…� he whispers, still smiling at her.
“Is it really you…?� Her eyes well up with tears.
“Yes… It’s really me… I’m really in front of you.� He takes her hand, feeling the warmth of it, not taking his eyes of her. He wipes the tears from her eyes.
“I’ve come back to you… just like I promised…� he looks into her eyes.
Sai looks at him, still in shock that he’s standing in front of her. Just then he gets on his knees. Sai watches as he gets down.
“Saiphon… I’m here to stay. I’m not gonna leave you again. I’m sorry for all the things I’ve put you through. I know I’ve said this before, but the past two months that I’ve been away from you has been like hell. Not a day went by that I didn’t think of you… I dreamt about you night. Everywhere I went, I saw nothing but you. I wanted to with you so badly. I miss your touch, your jasmine scent, your smile, but most importantly I miss you. I’m sorry I left without telling you… everything happen to fast & I didn’t have time to tell you…� Sit still holds onto her hands, “Sai, I want to tell you that I love you…. I love you with all of my heart, you’ve changed me for the better & I’m so glad that you’re in my life. I’m so glad that I’ve met a girl like you. Whenever I’m with you, I feel loved, you make me feel special. I love every moment that we spent, & I wouldn’t change it in the world…�
Sai looks down, tears running down her cheek, still in shock that Sithra has come back to her.
“Sai… I know we haven’t gotten off on the best foot so… I was wondering if you would be willing to put everything behind & start off fresh… I love you Saiphon… I don’t want you in my life… I NEED you in my life…� He reaches in his pocket & pulls out a small box. He opens the box & shows Sai a big pink princess cut diamond ring, “Saiphon… will you marry me?? Would you make me the happiest man on this earth & be my wife?�
Sai’s gasps for air, shock to see the ring & shock to see that he has proposed. Sai begins to cry harder, she nods her head, “yes… yes…. Yes I’ll marry you! I love you Sithra!� She jumps on Sit, crying & hugging him tight, not wanting to let him go. Tears of joy filled Sit’s eyes. He hugs her tightly & close, not wanting to let her go ever.
“Please don’t leave me again Sit…� Sai whispers in his ear, crying with joy & excitement.
“I won’t Sai… I won’t…� She lets go & he puts the ring on her finger. He looks up at her, “the ring matches the bracelet I gave you…� he smiles, hold onto her hand.
Sai chuckles with happiness. She kisses him passionately, she’s been waiting for this day for so long & it finally came true.
The crowd around her claps with joy, whistling & hollering cheering them on. Sai & Sit gets up off the floor. Sai forgot about the crowd, she smiles to them. Just then Sit’s parents come up to them.
“It work sweetheart!� his mom gave him a wink.
Sai looks at them confused, “you mean… you mean this was a set up? You mean you never left??�
His mom giggles, “yes… & no… yes because this whole anniversary celebration was all Sit’s idea. He wanted to use it as excuse to surprise you…� she smiles at her, happy to see her son & Sai finally together, “No, he really did go to Australia…Sit’s been here for a week now… he had to keep it a secret from you… he almost lost his mind trying to see you sweetheart!�
Sai blush & hits Sithra softly. Sai’s parents walks over to them. “Congrats sweetheart!� giving her a kiss, “Sit… it worked!� her dad gives him a big old hug.
“Wait… who else who??� Sai asked.
“Pretty much everybody besides you Sai…� Sit replies, feeling bad for not telling her.
“& you didn’t tell me?� Sai folds her arms.
“Well if they told you would you have been surprised?� he leans in closer to her & gives her a kiss on the cheek. Sai shakes her head.
Sai’s parents & Sit’s parents walks on stage.
“Let’s welcome the newly engaged couple!� Sit’s dad shouts in the microphone. The crowd claps wildly as Sai & Sit waves the crowd, smiling uncontrollably.
“Now… let the couple dances to the first song of the night!� Sit’s dad shouts & plays Mint – Ruk Ter Tee Soot.
“Saiphon, sweetheart… this song is dedicated to you..� Sit whispers in her ear, pulling her closer.
“How did you know this is my favorite song??� Sai smiles, putting her arms around his neck.
“Is it?� he raises his eyebrow, “it must be destiny then because I didn’t know…� he chuckles & kisses her on the forehead.
Sai smiles with excitement, finally getting the man she has always dreamed of, “it must be…� she looks at him, not taking her eyes off him for a second.
“I love you Saiphon…� he pulls her closer, not wanting to let go of her, fearing he might loose her again, “I’m not gonna let you go this time… I’m here to stay. You’re all that I need in my life… you’rere my destination this whole time…I love you… I love you…� he smiles at her, looking deep into her eyes & realizing how much he loves her & not wanting to let her out of his sight for one second.
“I love you too Sithra… I always have & I always will…� She kisses him on the lips & hugging him tighter, smelling the familiar cologne of his, happy to be back in his arms once again, smiling in bliss.

'i can't believe he's gone...' Sai looks at the bracelet, still in shock.
"He had to leave right away, Sai..." Krit replies. "You'll be fine... maybe it's better this way..."
Sai wipes her tears, "It's nothing you guys, let's get out of here...." she puts the bracelet in the box & Krit helps her to the car.
They drop Sai off at her house. They stayed & chat for a bit. Sai tried to pretend that Sit wasn't on her mind, but she couldn't focus, her mind ends up drifting back to him.
"Sai..." Kat calls her.
"hm...?" Sai looks at Kat, realizing she had zone out again.
"You miss him don't you?" Kat gives her a weak smile.
"Miss who? Sithra?" Sai chuckles. kat nods at her. Sai puts her head down, "yes.. i do... i really do..."
Kat takes her hand, "it's okay Sai... you'll be fine. just you wait. You won't even know he's gone!" she tries to cheer up Sai.
A tear falls down Sai's cheek, "I never... i never got to thank him for taking care of me... he thinks i hate him..." she wipes her tear, "but i don't... I've never hated him... evevn after all the things he's put me through, physically & mentally, i still..." Sai pause, "I still love him..."
Kat rubs her back, comforting her now.
"Come on Sai, don't do this... you'll be fine..." Krit says, sitting next to her.
"He'll come back one day... just wait..." Kat says.
"I'm so stupid... i should've just believed him when he told me he loves me... I should've just gave up trying to get revenge on him... he's out of my life now & i don't know how i'm going to move on now..." Sai looks at Kat & Krit, "It was hard the first time, trying to get over him i mean. but now that he's gone again... i don't know if i can do it. He's shown me the sweet & sensitive side of him, a side that i'd always wanted to see... but now i won't ever get to see it again... He's out of my life forever..." she cries.
"You can't say that Sai... you don't know that for sure. He might not be there for long..� Kat says.
“Just give it a few days Sai… I promise you’ll be back to normal.� Krit smiles at her. Sai gives him a weak smile.
“You will Sai.� Kat squeeze her hand, “Sai, we have to go now… we’ll come by tomorrow to check on you okay.� Krit & Kat gets up & stands in front of Sai.
“oh okay… let me walk you to the door.� Sai gets up & notice that Krit & Kat were holding hands. Her eyes widen, “wait… are … are you two dating??�
Kat blushes & Krit chuckles, “yeah… we kinda are…� Kat says, blushing & giggling at Krit.
“kinda are?? Or we are?� Krit ask Kat, smiling at her.
“We are dating…� Kat smiles at Sai.
“Awe… I’m sorry for talking so much about Sit… how selfish of me… how long have you two been dating?� Sai smiles at them.
“Well, let’s say you brought her & I close together…� Krit looks at Kat, squeezing her hand.
“Awe, that’s cute.� She smiles thinking of Sit.
“We should be going, we got reservations for tonight.� Krit said.
Sai walks them to the door & watches them leave. She closes it & smiles to herself, ‘Krit & Kat… I would’ve never guessed.’ She walks to her room, the looks at the stuffed bear, the card & the box Sit had given her. She sits next to the things. She hugs the teddy bear tight with left arm, her right arm was still in a cast, and she won’t get it remove for another month. She could smell the scent of Sit’s cologne on the teddy bear. She puts down the teddy bear & picks up the box with the diamond bracelet in it. She takes the bracelet out & puts it around the teddy bears’ wrist, wanting to feel closer to Sit. She place the card on her desk. She lays back down & hugs tight to her teddy bear, thinking about Sit & missing him dearly. A tear rolled down her cheeks as she think of the time he spent with her at the hospital.
‘why Sit… Why did you leave me…?’ she whispers in sorrow.

It’s been two months since Sit has left & not a day goes by that Sai doesn’t think of him. She sleeps with his teddy bear held closely to hear heart. She reads his card every night before going to sleep & not a night goes by that she doesn’t dream of him, dream that one day they will meet again & start things over. She’d have the same dream of him over & over. She’s running to him, she’s stuck in a maze & she needs to find her way out… she’s trying to get back to Sithra but she never reaches her destination. She falls into a dark hole. Then she wakes up from this nightmare. She cries at the thought of the dream.
Ever since Sithra left, she’s been trying to keep herself busy so she wouldn’t think of him. She’ll go out with Kat to the mall, to the clubs, the beaches & even parties, but everywhere she went the thought of Sit wanders into her thoughts. She’d see couples together & she’ll get depress because She would be reminded of Sit. She’ll go to the beach & think of Sit & prom night & the first time they had done it. She couldn’t escape it, everywhere she went, made her think of Sit & it was killing her softly & slowly. She missed him more & more. There were times where she locked herself in her room, shutting herself from the world, not wanting to move on & wanting Sit back.
Krit tried to help her out, but he was no success. Her parents didn’t know how to help their daughter either. They’d invite her over to the house, but she just wasn’t the same person as before. She wasn’t the same energetic Saiphon. She has changed into a different person.
One day, Sai went over to her parents’ house to have dinner, hoping she can get her mind off of Sit.
“Saiphon sweetheart, how are you?� her mom kisses her on the cheek & gives her a hug.
“I’m doing good mom, never been better…� she lied, smiling faintly.
“That’s good Sai, are you hungry yet? We can eat now, if you want.� Her mom asks.
“Sure, let’s eat, I’m starved.� Sai rubs her stomach & giggles. Sai helps her mom set up the table. Just then her dad walks in.
“Sai, sweetie, how are you?� He walks over to Sai & gives her a hug & a kiss on the cheek.
“I’m doing good Dad, are you ready to eat?� She asked.
“Yes, let’s eat, I’m hungry.� He sits down on the table.
“So dad, how’s work?� Sai eats her food.
“Work is going good, can’t complain. How about you sweetheart? How are you holding up?� He ask in a concern tone.
“I’m doing fine dad… don’t worry. Thanks for letting me take a vacation…� she smiles at her dad.
“No problem sweetheart, you need it. You’ve been through a lot. Whenever you’re ready to come back to work just let me know.� He smiles at her.
“I’ll let you know. Next week I’ll be able to work again. My arm’s healing a lot faster than I thought.� Sai bends her right arm to show her dad.
“That’s good sweetie.� He chews his food.
“Oh Sai, this weekend, Sit’s parents are celebrating their anniversary. They’re going to renew their vows & they would like our family to come...� Her mom told Sai.
“oh… okay..� Sai looks at her food, “Is.. is Sit going to be there…?� She asks nervously.
“I’m afraid not Sai… His mom told me he’s loaded with work. I’m sorry Sai… I know you really want to see him.� Her mom touches her hand.
“It’s okay Mom…� Sai felt her stomach tighten, feeling sick to her stomach, “I’m dealing with it.� She smiles weakly, “& don’t worry mom, I’ll go. Sit’s parents have been nice to me all these years.� Sai finishes her food in silent. Her parents watch her in silence, not wanting to force her to talk.

Sit’s parents anniversary [Saturday]
Sai’s mom gave her a dress to wear. It was a ivory dress. It was a halter top dress which came down to the ground. She had her hair curled & put in a pony tail to the side with a pink lily in her hair. She wore the eyes Kat had given her. She decided to wear Sit’s bracelet, seeing that her arm looks plain. Sai looks in the mirror before leaving, checking to make sure everything’s in place. She force a smile on her face, ‘all set..’ she press down on her dress. She grabs her things & left her house. She told her parents she would meet them at the party. They were having it at Sai’s dad hotel.
Sai arrives at the hotel 20 minutes late. She took longer than she had hope. She rushes into the hall & finds her parents, glad that the ceremony hadn’t started yet.
“Sorry mom… I took longer than I had expected…� she whispers giving her mom a hug.
“It’s okay, we’re waiting on Sit’s mom right now.� Sai looks around & spots Krit & Kat together, she smiles to herself, seeing how happy they are. The she spots Mark with Jane, her eyes widen, ‘Mark & Jane…? Wow..’ she chuckles to herself & she’s the only one who didn’t have anyone.
“Hey mom… I’m gonna go sit with Kat & them…� Sai whispers to her mom. She gets up & walks over to Krit & Kat.
Kat’s face lid up when she sees Sai, “Sai, you look beautiful… you look like you’re about to get married…!� she shouts, getting up to give Sai a hug.
“Me? Get married? I don’t even have a boyfriend…� she chuckles.
“Hi Sai!� Mark waves at her. Sai smiles at him, seeing Jane & Mark, holding hands. Sai smiles at Jane too.
“Since when did the two of you started dating??� She looks at them, crossing her arms.
“Krit introduced us…� Jane replies blushing.
“Yes… & Since then we’ve been really close… & now we’re dating..� Mark looks at Jane & smiles.
Sai chuckle & looks at Krit, “are you playing cupid or what?�
“what? No…� he laughs.
Sai sits down next to Kat & waited for the ceremony to start. The place was decorated in a white & pink theme, something she wanted for her wedding. Pink & white roses everywhere, just the way she likes it.
She scans the room, hoping to see a familiar face: Sithra. Sai felt a tap on her shoulder. She turns around to see a man holding a bouquet of pink rose.
“Excuse me… are you Saiphon?� he ask her.
“yes, yes I am.� She smiles.
“These are for you then…� Sai took them out of his hand & smells the roses.
“Who are these from?� She ask the man.
“It’s from that man over there near the entrance… I don’t know his name…� The man points to a stranger near the door, Sai couldn’t make out who he was.
“Oh okay… thank you…� Sai gets up & walks towards the entrance to look for the man. He wasn’t anywhere to be found. She walks to the lobby, but no one in sight but the valet parkers. She walks to the side of the hotel, near the beach, but no one in sight. She drops the roses to her side, disappointed & hoping it was Sithra. She walks slowly back to the hall.
Sai walks through the crowd of people in the hall, she got to the middle of the floor when someone calls her name. “Saiphon…,� the person whispers.
Sai froze immediately, roses drop to her side, her heart beat faster & faster, her throat dried up, she couldn’t move.
“Saiphon…� the person whispers. Sai turn around slowly & Sit was in front of her, smiling ear to ear. Everybody that was around her suddenly moved away & stared at the two of them.
Sai’s jaw drops. She drops the bouquet of roses & covers her mouth in shock.
“Sit..Sithra…� She whispers, feeling herself get choked up.
Sit walks closer to her until they were face to face.
“Hi Saiphon…� he whispers, still smiling at her.
“Is it really you…?� Her eyes well up with tears.
“Yes… It’s really me… I’m really in front of you.� He takes her hand, feeling the warmth of it, not taking his eyes of her. He wipes the tears from her eyes.
“I’ve come back to you… just like I promised…� he looks into her eyes.
Sai looks at him, still in shock that he’s standing in front of her. Just then he gets on his knees. Sai watches as he gets down.
“Saiphon… I’m here to stay. I’m not gonna leave you again. I’m sorry for all the things I’ve put you through. I know I’ve said this before, but the past two months that I’ve been away from you has been like hell. Not a day went by that I didn’t think of you… I dreamt about you night. Everywhere I went, I saw nothing but you. I wanted to with you so badly. I miss your touch, your jasmine scent, your smile, but most importantly I miss you. I’m sorry I left without telling you… everything happen to fast & I didn’t have time to tell you…� Sit still holds onto her hands, “Sai, I want to tell you that I love you…. I love you with all of my heart, you’ve changed me for the better & I’m so glad that you’re in my life. I’m so glad that I’ve met a girl like you. Whenever I’m with you, I feel loved, you make me feel special. I love every moment that we spent, & I wouldn’t change it in the world…�
Sai looks down, tears running down her cheek, still in shock that Sithra has come back to her.
“Sai… I know we haven’t gotten off on the best foot so… I was wondering if you would be willing to put everything behind & start off fresh… I love you Saiphon… I don’t want you in my life… I NEED you in my life…� He reaches in his pocket & pulls out a small box. He opens the box & shows Sai a big pink princess cut diamond ring, “Saiphon… will you marry me?? Would you make me the happiest man on this earth & be my wife?�
Sai’s gasps for air, shock to see the ring & shock to see that he has proposed. Sai begins to cry harder, she nods her head, “yes… yes…. Yes I’ll marry you! I love you Sithra!� She jumps on Sit, crying & hugging him tight, not wanting to let him go. Tears of joy filled Sit’s eyes. He hugs her tightly & close, not wanting to let her go ever.
“Please don’t leave me again Sit…� Sai whispers in his ear, crying with joy & excitement.
“I won’t Sai… I won’t…� She lets go & he puts the ring on her finger. He looks up at her, “the ring matches the bracelet I gave you…� he smiles, hold onto her hand.
Sai chuckles with happiness. She kisses him passionately, she’s been waiting for this day for so long & it finally came true.
The crowd around her claps with joy, whistling & hollering cheering them on. Sai & Sit gets up off the floor. Sai forgot about the crowd, she smiles to them. Just then Sit’s parents come up to them.
“It work sweetheart!� his mom gave him a wink.
Sai looks at them confused, “you mean… you mean this was a set up? You mean you never left??�
His mom giggles, “yes… & no… yes because this whole anniversary celebration was all Sit’s idea. He wanted to use it as excuse to surprise you…� she smiles at her, happy to see her son & Sai finally together, “No, he really did go to Australia…Sit’s been here for a week now… he had to keep it a secret from you… he almost lost his mind trying to see you sweetheart!�
Sai blush & hits Sithra softly. Sai’s parents walks over to them. “Congrats sweetheart!� giving her a kiss, “Sit… it worked!� her dad gives him a big old hug.
“Wait… who else who??� Sai asked.
“Pretty much everybody besides you Sai…� Sit replies, feeling bad for not telling her.
“& you didn’t tell me?� Sai folds her arms.
“Well if they told you would you have been surprised?� he leans in closer to her & gives her a kiss on the cheek. Sai shakes her head.
Sai’s parents & Sit’s parents walks on stage.
“Let’s welcome the newly engaged couple!� Sit’s dad shouts in the microphone. The crowd claps wildly as Sai & Sit waves the crowd, smiling uncontrollably.
“Now… let the couple dances to the first song of the night!� Sit’s dad shouts & plays Mint – Ruk Ter Tee Soot.
“Saiphon, sweetheart… this song is dedicated to you..� Sit whispers in her ear, pulling her closer.
“How did you know this is my favorite song??� Sai smiles, putting her arms around his neck.
