Well...here's how it goes.
two days ago...this girl post a bulletin in Myspace warning others about calls that has double, triple, and # signs. Saying that it was brought the topic through couple Hmong Radio Station about this issue stating a few of people had died answering this calls. Said those calls are from Thailand and Laos. To pass it on.

Just now, 12 midnight, my dad received a call from my aunt giving us warning about these weird numbers said to be from Thailand and Laos also and to not answer it. She was told that it is deadly to answer it.

My dad quickly give a call to my uncle...he said a few days before he heard about it too and that his cousin from Thailand call to warn him about this same issue too. His cousin says that now a day in Thailand and Laos majority every household chose to closed down or either switch off their telephone service within the following hours: 8am in the morning and after 8pm at night. Sorry guys my dad has the list of the phone numbers that was giving to him by my aunt but i don't have it with me..but i promise to post up tomorrow when i got it so all of u can have it and warn others too...plus if u do have any information or heard of it please comment and do let us know. I'm not to sure if its true or not. Please this is freaking me out...i want to hear from you guys.

That's weird. How did those people die? What did the autopsy say, that they died from answering a phone call?

Reminds of that stupid movie The Ring, where you answer the phone and the voice on the other line tells you how many days you left to live.

^i have a cousin who received a similar call like this a year ago and past away months after. The person on the phone claimed to be his long lost gf of the past -- she's waiting for him and now that she found him, she won't let go of him. My cousin got freak out and since then, he started to have health issue and in the end, he past away. He was a college kid, working toward his doctor degree. It was a sad situation -- since this happen, i refuse to pick up the house phone whenever it ring ..

whether this is true or not...no one knows until it really happens in their own eyes right. well, i started this topic just because i been hearing a lot lately and just got curious about it. some may believes it some may not...but my parents and the family discuss this through last night and came to a decision that from now on we will get an ID CALLER just to be safe cause who knows what these evils can cause such crime like that just to anyone. anyone heard of the phrase, "Tso Dab" this is what i meant. Weird things can happen people! but that doesn't mean I believe it, i just think its something we need watch for. For those who are wondering about those call digits here u go...write it down for safety.

Heard about it too... my aunt called and warned my mom about it right when she heard it on the radio
This is the message my cousin posted on myspace:

Anybody Else Heard About The Stories?
2 Hmong Victim’s Pronounced Dead From Strange Calls.
I Think It Relates To “One Missed Call”
Except, Its Not A Missed Call, Its Just A Random Call.

Digits Being Seen From The Caller I.D.’s Should Be
Two Zero’s And Then Four Of The Same Numbers.
Been Heard From Local Hmong Radio Stations.
Example;s Being Told From Hmong Station;s.

002222
004444
006666
009999

But I Prefer Not Picking Up The Phone When Seeing Four
Of The Digit’s In A Row.. Most Likely, These Calls Are Coming
From, SouthEast Asia as Im Being Told.

THIS DEADLY PRANK CALLS ARE JUST FULL OF S***. IF LAOS PEOPLE WERE THAT POWERFUL, THEY WOULD RULE EARTH AND NOTHING WOULD BE ABLE TO STOP THEM.

That's freaky. I believe in what you say "Tso Dab." But geez I don't know when I'm going to receive those calls which of course I don't. But people who call from southeast asia always appear on my phone as Unknown Name; Unknown Number. Cause relatives from there call a lot to my in laws and that's how it shows up on there. Freaking me out too...

^it's not sh*t until you see it happen in front of you .. i believe in this b/c it happened to my cousin here in Wis & FL (the one in Florida change his name after the call so he was alright) on top of that, some Hmong ppl still know them KAWG KOOB .. so yup, anything could happen. Who know what goes through that wire. This is as bad as RAIS DAB b/c some ppl believe it doesn't exist until they get freak out by one of them -- i know i did at my old house and man, nws ua rau kuv poob nplig, ua rau kuv ib ce tseeg tas b/c it happened so quickly.

So does this only happen to Hmong people? My dad is in Thailand right now, planning to cross over to Laos too. I am worried sick about him... but he said there's a possibility he would go to China instead of Laos, but nothing has been confirmed yet.

will it is said that now a days majority people of Laos and Thailand turned off their phones in the operation hours of 8pm through 8am in the morning. because of these calls that already killed few. one of my uncle says that people who knows how to tso dab are really good at this, all they do is hais lus tso dab through the wire when making that call and who knows it can work or not. but just be safe whether everyone believe it or not. don't worry too much too bcuz some people when they think or worry to much they often get ill. just keep it low.

I totally believe what you have said. When a dead person calls you up and you end up talking to them is pretty scary. People may not believe it until they get it. I didn't at first until I got it, too. Sorry for your lost.

Quiet-ness

I heard about this from my brother and I thought to myself that it is so lame. Sure, I do believe there are some supernatural things happening and it's not something that we should be paranoid about it.

Perhaps that one person who picked up the phone and later died was all a coincidence. Until someone brings the official statistics and articles about these unexpected deaths from a Laos/Thailand phone calls, I will not be superstitious about it. I wouldn't worry about it either if I were you.
