You seriously need a new group friend/ extended family cus the ones you have are just aweful! Lol my bf said when he was a child, he was given 1 present a year and that was only during christmas.
So for a whole year he had to think really hard on what toy he wanted. That taught him to car for all of his stuff as an adult and only save for the very best.
Tim and I talked about it and we're planning on donating some toys or clothing to kids in need, but put that they are from baby boy. Basically his gift is the gift of giving. I agree with needing new friends and such lol. They feel the need to tell me all I do is wrong because it is my first child.
That is perfect! The gift of giving is the best present you can give your child and if you continue every year as he grows up, he'll learn how to give. I have a friend who taught their son to donate his old or new toys he get throughout the year from friends and families to foster homes every christmas. It is the sweetest thing cus he always look forward to christmas because of it and he's 10 now.
That's wonderful! I hope Ken is like that when he grows up. I don't want him to be those kids who are like 6 and 7 and getting their own laptop and iphones lol.
I know! I get it that parents wants to give their children the best of everything but sometime you gotta teach them that life is not about keeping up with the Jones.
I also dislike when people put that their gifts are from Santa and like it's expensive gifts. I mean how would their friend who is less fortunate feel that Santa didn't give them as good a present?
That's just horrible, I love your way of thinking! That is so special I would definitely do that to my future children too, teaching them not to expect gifts, but to give. Never would've thought of this, but I would never criticize a mother based on their number of gifts to their children, that is just horrible.
LOL, that's crazy! It's just like for me...when I have a kid I do not plan on doing a major party for my baby's 1st birthday because, why? He/she is not going to remember that day. I rather save a big birthday for them when they are a little order and can really enjoy it. IDC what anyone says. It'll be more of a party for the adults then for my baby.
