Not only that, but be diligent in checking all your financial accounts during the holidays lol. Sometimes you just never know. Husband used to shop at Lowes and Target alot and when they were hit with that credit card hack our card was one of the ones affected. Just saw on the news this morning about how a few grocery stores had skimmers on their card system! Husband has me mommabearing our finances because he was a victim of identity theft at one point at the age of 18 =(, while serving...
I could be so lazy not checking my account, I have to change this bad habit asap. You give out good tips. Sometimes I just want to pay cash, but then I do not want to carry cashes around.
Husband doesn't let me carry cash around because I almost got mugged twice, once I manage to stab the guy in the eyes with my keys, the other he grabbed me from the elbow behind, so I hit him with my other elbow and kicked him in the groin got in my car and drove off like nothing happened lol. Muggers usually watch you while inside the location and if they see that you use a card you'll be the less likely target because it isn't easy cash.
Wow, serve them right, thank goodness you were safe. That were good techniques, sometimes one could know these techniques but when they are approached by bad people they could not execute these techniques, go @Tina hehe. Did you have pepper spray then?
@Cece it never used to be like this, but during the holidays people just get desperate ,
@Ms.Zoe I think my husband's paranoia is what saves my life everyday rofl. He's a Marine so he makes it a point that I know self defense. Also to keep calm and not freak out in tough situations cause it'll add onto the stress of the situation. I may seem fiery and short fused here, but irl I can be really level headed and calm in tough situations lol. I carry pepper spray, taser,...
legal approved pocket knife, and a gun (license to coneal carry), I've never felt the need to go higher than pepper spray though, but husband insists it is better be prepared than sorry.
I got my credit cards stolen a few times. One time someone used it on the Internet provider purchase something for $4,000. The other time someone stole it right out of my back pocket and I didn't even have a clue. SMH.
That sucks byebye! I hope they were waived! All the more reason to be diligent in checking your accounts daily lol. Heck I check once I wake up, before I go to sleep (assuming I sleep lol).
