how do you burn movies onto a disc?do u need a specific kinda of program or cd to do that?Or like some laptops cant burn movies?
It really depends on what file you have that you want to burn. If they're just VCD stright MPG rips (size about 650 to 700 megs) then you can just burn them on VCD using nero. If its a divx files then you have to change because divx is a computer encode BUT not if you have a dvd player that can play divx files. In that case you can just burn the divx or whatever file on a disc like that and burn it. If its wmv and avi and a bunch of other files.. you will have to change the format to put on a CD.sallysosilly727 said:how do you burn movies onto a disc?do u need a specific kinda of program or cd to do that?Or like some laptops cant burn movies?

BTW when you say puto onto a CD do you mean VCD or DVD? Because they require different things.
All cd burners can burn cds.. Doesn't matter if its a laptop or a desktop or a mac or whatever. When you go to a store you see a "music cdr" but thats just BS. You can burn movies and stuff onto that cd. CDR are ALL THE SAME. Doesn't matter what brand and what they say.
Now for DVD-R you will need a dvd burner and they're a bit more expensive.. but you can put alot of stuff onto it.

Pimmy said:For the VCD format, you can just use nero program straight up. However, you have to choose the format CD->create new CD --> other CD format -->video CD from the pop up menu. Then use can choose the .wmv file you want to burn. My nero will just automatically convert it to the mpg format. However, keep in mind that one cd can contain only 70-80 minutes of video clip.
have fun
