How old were you when you started watching Lakorns?

LOL My mother have watch Thai Lakorns before I was born, so I have watch it when I was little, but never really paid attention until I was 7 years old.

Around 18-20. I'm 21 now, I discovered Thai ET in general when I was still in college.

I think for as long as I can remember, the first one that I can remember is Bai Xai Thong, which is like all the hmong people's favorite lakorn. But the one I really enjoyed and paid attention to when I was little was Roy Leh Sanae Rai.

...I can't remember how old BUT I remember my grandma didn't want me to watch lakorn b/c it had too much 'romance' & said a young girl shouldn't learn about love , should focus on school , lakorn will make me think about boys LOL & I was just a KID .

Since I was in my mom's belly, LOL literally though. I grew up watching lakorns my parents are addicted to it and now I am. We (my parents, sister, and grandma) used to watch it all together one lakorn at a time. I remember everyone in the same room eyes glued to the TV. Nowadays we watch them separately because there's soo many lakorns and everyone's schedule is different, plus it's easier to watch it whenever / wherever now. We don't have to rent them anymore, YAY! I still do watch certain ones with my grandma though, we are both currently enjoying Raeng Tawan together.

My first Lakorn was Bla Boo Tong. I was probably no more than 4 or 5. I watched more of it when I was in HS... and then my obsession started 4 years ago.

I've been watching lakorns for about 18-19 years now since age 3-4. I've come a long way. lol

I've watched lakorns when I was younger (lakorns Hmong dubbed) but it was Bie (and HJS) who really brought me to lakorns. I was a third going to be a fourth grader at the time and now I'm a sophomore going to be a junior. It has been about eight years. Man, that's half of my age. I spent half of my life dedicated to my lakorns.

I can't remember exactly when but I am 25 now...but my very first Thai lakorn was...*drum roll*... Koo Gam (Kwang K. and Bird T. version). I remember I hated the lakorn because it was so sad but my family watched it so many times because they love it and they love Bird. So I grew up with Bird music and Koo Gam OSTs were the first Thai songs I ever heard. I grew up speaking many languages but I picked up Thai very fast. I also watched a lot of Chinese wuxia series that were Khmer dubbed. I remembered liking Chinese series more than Thai because Thai lakorns were so predictable. However, I liked Thai music more so that's what kept me interested in Thai lakorns in general. I grew up with Bird T., Got Jakrapun, Num Sornram, Ann Siriam, Kob Suvanant, Tua Saranyu, and all three Noks: Chatchai, Sinjai, and Jariya. Then, I met Willy and I had the biggest crush on him. My love for Thai lakorns died down a bit after Mon Rak Look Toong with Nampeung and Tua Saranyu and then Tik J. came along and made me fall in love with him. My very first Tik lakorn was "Soda Gub Cha Yen" but I barely remembered. Then I saw "Kaew Tah Pee" and "Tang Fah Tawan Diew" and I fell head over hells for Tik for many years until I met Ken and Bie S. I came a long way, girls. Lol.

Since everybody share their fair share about it, I just want to join the bandwagon.
I am considered 'late' to lakorn world (I have seen only a few modern lakorn).
It was back in circa 2010-2011 (I was 17-18 at that time) and stumbled upon Suay Rerd Cherd Sode. Grateful that the story is not so bad and found it fascinating to see such great and sizzling chemistry from the main couple. (But already watched Thai film from age 8 or 9, or even earlier).

I wish I have experienced to see lakorn earlier though, I would love to get to know older generation of p'ek and n'ek. The majority of old dramas (in almost every country) has tendency to have more quality storyline and acting than the dramas they make nowadays.

It's been 6 years since i have first watched one Lakorn (the first one was Jam Loey Rak) who is still one my favorite, i have do one break of lakorn (because subtitles missing lots of times) but now i'm back and i have one huge list ^^

I was 7 yrs old. The first lakorn I remember was Chatchai and Nok J. in Tae Pang Korn then Bird T with Monradee in Plub Pueng See Chompoo and so forth on. It's countless numbers to me. I watched just about all the short movies that came out that have the actors/actress that play as parents now whom played the n'ek/p'ek back then. I've seen all the Boran lakorns too. It's countless numbers for me when it comes to movies/lakorns. Not only that I've seen pretty much all the old Chinese series, Li gay,Indians dubbed in Thai but I don't remember the names.

In my teen years, I use to drive to GA (1 1/2 hrs) to the Laos store there to rent lakorns. It was an addiction. I was their regular customer hehe.

Around 16/17 (damn I'm getting old lol) I was just discovering the world of Asian cinema/drama's. I happened to come across a list of recommended drama's that someone had created, they included Jam Loey Rak and so I decided to watch it since I'd never seen a Thai drama before. I'll be honest Aff voice turned me off so much that I nearly gave up on not only the drama but ever checking out another lakorn again lol.

Ahhh similar! If I had to recall correctly, my first Lakorn started with a boran genre too and it was def bla Boo Thong, then klai Thong after...then grot pet Jed see with the 7 brothers and evil stepmom lol the rest was history. I was around 7/8 maybe 9, but started getting very serious when I was in middle school. Lol
