I think this is why it makes even more sense that Kade didn't jump to conclusions about whether Falcon was a bad person or not. Really love the nuance the writing had in consideration - which I honestly wasn't expecting from this drama.

Yes I love that part too. It could be that the writer is a history major herself. Some historian professors were saying that we have to be careful with believing what or which history stories are being told in lakorns. It's not all base on actual facts just sometime vaguely based on historical facts. They also remind us that these are lakorns and not documentaries. However they are happy that because of this lakorns, Thai students are signing up for history classes. Plus we need to remember that wiki and some sources are not all reliable.

There's some news program that have been inviting historians to the show to debunk or clarify some events and characters. It was pretty interesting. I'm waiting for them to talk about PraJao Seur.

They said she should worry more about herself and go out socialise with others. These people who watch the drama work and know what their duties responsibility in life are.
Separate reality and drama, its acting. Theres many actresses in Thailand not just one and they have many different roles.

But falcon so far is a complete a$$hole lol as a husband and a freaking Constantine no? Lol still sick of Louis portraying this assy character, it’s like I’m seeing Louis true color in behind closed door lol

Got seems so chill as Prajao Suea aka Tiger King so far. I have been FFing his parts a lot lol so IDK his significance in the lakorn but if he’s expected to portray Tiger King, he’s been so chill so far unless I have just missed out on a lot of his scenes lol

Yeah, more often than not, historical fiction do seem to present things as factual. But of course that can't be helped sometimes since the story still has to be written based on whatever information we have currently, and tweaked to craft a narrative. It's easy for us to forget sometimes that historical records are not always completely reliable and factual, and can be biased or incomplete. So to acknowledge that we do not know everything for sure, through a story, is simply amazing and necessary. Nevertheless, I think dramas/lakorns/stories/films are still great platforms and windows for people to start getting interested in history - and in fact any other topic/subject matter, which are otherwise not easy to get through.

BPS keep up the good job portraying the greyness of history and humanity.

Oo that's really cool! I would love to watch it if only not for language barriers.

It’s true I haven’t really seen a lakorn that’s has been based on Thai history for so long, until this one! It totally got me fascinated and especially with the Ayutthaya era! Completely fascinated! But history has its ugly twist and turn anywhere you go in this world.

Mostly. He hasn't been decently written at all up until ep 8 - just a flat evil, creepy jerk. There was completely no reasonable explanation for ~somehow his love is so deep that he converted to the same faith as Malee~, or anything about him at all??? Like what??

Personally speaking, the saving grace for him came when he was felt regretful and guilty about indirectly causing Janward's dad's death. For the very first time in the story, I actually took his character seriously - he started feeling a bit more human rather than just some empty jerkass caricature. I felt bad for him then, in some tiny corner of my heart... He's still a horrible, creepy jerk but yet!

And on the side note, couldn't help but stare at how bloody gorgeous Louis' side profile was throughout ep 9 omg.
