I'm not sure but is this the only story where everyone apart from the leads also gets the chance to shine? And very well too! During & also past show in the after events. I'm so happy for that!! The actor who's Kosa Lek is father, lawyer, uncle, bullied husband, wealthy businessman, etc seen in many past dramas but here it's wonderful to see him hold a bewitching role which grips you in fear knowing he's destined for a gruesome end. I kept wishing Kade would jump in & save him from the whipping - or at least think up an instant painkiller fashioned from fish sauce or something.... he'll not be in pain and will live on. Kade will then get kudos for saving the day!! Same time killing off those doe looks that goody two shoes Janward been throwing at Date. She's rather rude this girl, tuning off Kade & not returning greetings. Wasn't I pleased at the boat race when she kept calling his attention (he's right next to her) but he's too busy looking at Kade's group cheer!
The only character I find disgusting is Janward's mum. She's egotistical, greedy & don't learn lessons. First, for letting her husband take "gifts" and expects it as a done thing (he died majorly because of that); and if guests come round without presents she'd be totally pissed! (Where the hell are they from, these people? No manners! - is what she said when some guys came to visit empty-handed). And hunk Reung not being good enough for her daughter even if they've sunk way below society line with Chai Lek's "crime" and household being possessed. Hated her rudeness that time he came with the flowers (in front of him ordering servant to tell Janward don't leave her room). Still setting cap on Date - I so damn gleeful by this time he's totally out of their reach (ditzy love for Kade)
