@040156 hahaha, that's good news for me because I was afraid Khanthong (?) would be too disciplined and not dare to flirt with Mang Mao.

I think it'll be funny to watch Mang Mao figure out that he's not a eunuch, then be the one who reminds him constantly to "keep his hands to himself" because he's not fulfilling his spy duties

@KitKat516 I think it is right after/towards the end of King Ekkathat's reign as you (and Taew) mentioned. There's a lot of bloodshed involved and it around that time when King Taksin is just about to be king and about to unite Siam. If you notice, Khanthong's line in the teaser was something along the lines of "when will someone come forth and unite our people once again" - so that "someone" is King Taksin (Aum's character).

I think NDFD is being made also in celebration of the 250th year anniversary of the victory of King Taksin versus the invaders. They had a blessing ceremony at King Taksin's memorial at some point, last year. All these Thai lakorns made me curious about their history. I'm itching to buy a book! Can't depend on Wikipedia all the time

I think NDFD will do well because like they said, there has never been a period lakorn with Kantee. I mean most people didn't even know there was one in Thailand. Right now viewers want something different not remakes. Nakee, BPS, and NDFD are something different.

@phatman I know you don't like James ji but you might grow to like his character here since he's a eunuch in disguise and it suits him well. As I mentioned before, he naturally doesn't have body hair so he didn't have to shave unlike all the other guys. haha.

Uh I can’t get over how pink/red Jame’s lips are. They are as colored as Taew’s. It’s a bit of a turn off because he’s so pretty looking. Uh it’s weird looking at him and seeing he’s almost as beautiful as the n’ek.

I think the character of Khanthin here is that he's effeminate looking enough that Diew Suriyon's character gets confused as to his sexual preference (he starts falling in love with Khanthin) while Mang Mao is weirded out by the thought that she is falling in love with a girly looking half guy. His pretty face comes with a tall frame and a deep manly voice (normally eunuchs have high pitched voice) so Mang mao is confused if he's handsome or what.

So yep. The character is written for James Ji all right. *Sweatdrop*
