Well, BPS still managed to beat LR in ratings for the first two despite it being a rerun so yes, I think the fever is still high. The test of ratings is towards the end when they cut out a lot of the scenes with the kids.

So....... I have a story to share.
I got a little brave and gave a short review on LR last night and OMG.... I got cold shoulder. It was freezing cold in there for me after the post. LOL

AND the thing is I am a NY fan from so long ago since GRGR days. I am not anti and love NY but I think I am entitle to my opinions of what I like and don't like about LR.
I can't take the koolaid and say everything is 10 10 10 when it's not. Well, maybe I did say the first 2 episodes are like watching "Ken and Barbie playing castle with guns" so yeah.... maybe a little strong?
I posted about LR in here when it aired so I don't want people to think I say Nadech is hot and say something else in BPS thread. I just posted the fake feeling I got from watching first 2 episodes and was hoping it'll improve on Ep. 3. NY are truly beautiful to watch but story is pretty blah. I do want LR to do well. I want Thai lakorns to do well but I can't handle it when it's so pretentious.... maybe it was me. I loved BPS so much that I can't handle anything else at this moment. I also think that I love Ann and NY so I was hard on them because my expectations are high.

Anyhow, I just want to say thank you to my BPS fam. You know you are kind, smart, talented and understanding. I can post almost anything I want in here and you'll call me out on it or laugh with me. It's really nice being in here so I just want to let you know.

Lucky for Karakade she never got out of the house so no one's ever met her; even Rheung didn't know that's Date's fiancee in the temple grounds (maybe seen from afar when she first arrived their town). If you want my honest opinion, I really don't want Pope and Bell to be involved in these business. Not sure how much they know or research on these..... to me it's a business opportunity that can go wrong FAST if not careful. They can get sue since people are drinking these and it's a health safety issue. I'd prefer to stay away if I were them.

I agree! Any health products I would stay away. If they want business, they should go Anne's route. Clothes line are always better than supplements. At least you can't die from ingesting it.

I think they maybe busy with LR subs. Also, I saw on the tread that you need to donate to get a password to see LR. Not sure about BPS.

I don't know what to think of the donation part either. I think the subbers need to be careful. If anyone of you know the SJDK team, please tell them to be careful. They can seriously get sued for copyright since they are making money off these lakorns now.

I understand that it takes time and they are offering a service. I don't need subs so I don't join but if it's something I'd like, I don't mind paying for it. I just don't know enough about copyright laws but have a feeling that they shouldn't accept money for it. For example, my YT channel looks old right? I didn't update because the only other choice then was to be a partner and i can get ad rev-share from the FMVs I made.
I chose not to do that so I don't get dinged with copyright lawsuits since I AM suing the images they own. I was creating FMV for fun and no money exchanged so no one can sue me. I just take down the vid if there is issue with music or clips from Ch.3 or Ch. 7. Again, it's always the money. If you make money of their copyrighted materials, you need permission to use it first.

Anyway, I think most Thai celebrities tend to be humble. I haven’t read a story crazy enough like a sex scandal or something lol If anyone has, lmk lol! Also, if they were to go to make merit it seems like their fans follow them willingly. Most of the pictures I see are shot by fans. I’m sure now that Pope is so famous he will have crowds following him even to the temple. I do think Buddhism is a huge influence for most Thai celebs.

Funny that! Your stint gets a tie in with a Thai place (BPS). I don't think there's much there aside the food and clubs & pubs. It seems sjdk have consulted someone about the copyrights. They have been told the reason their videos got taken down is because subbing rights for BPS might also have been sold. The reason the channels don't sub them before is that they let fan subbers do all the hard work and gain the viewers interest...if the drama becomes very popular in other countries then they sell the rights for it at a high price.....which has happened for BPS it seems.
Also sjdk have given instructions on their fb on how to get into their private group....if you want to, that is....I'm gonna wait for them to release to public

It's like they can't accept opinions different from theirs. There are a couple of people who would fight you with novella worth of replies on why your opinion is untrue/wrong (how the heck can an opinion be untrue? It's an opinion). the replies are so long that you have to take a restroom break to be able to finish . But anyways I haven't seen LR but my cousin who LOVES everything connected to Anne, think she is God's gift to the human world and everything she touch is gold , said that it was ok, she said the scenery and clothings are beautiful but no chemistry among the cast yet.

Have you guys seen this interview from Air Asia event? Pope is so charismatic

He talks about the charities especially sponsoring kids to go to school... He's been doing it for about 10 years. Used to be 1 kid, 500 baht a month and when he started to make more, he sponsored more. Now he has about 5-6 kids that he sends sponsorship money to each month. He also has other charities like wat(temple), school and hospital. He's generous guy.

The reporters also asked him about the "white pants" incident where the national jewels were on display. Hahahaha

He was so cute!!!! He looked down and then he laughed this laugh and was just cool about the whole thing. He said it's his fault for choosing those pants. Hahaha *i am dying of laughter and his cuteness*

What I wanted to say is that you can have the best looking leads, best location, best costume, best director, best producer, best everything but if the story is not well written, it'll feel flat. So far, that's what I got and I was trying to address that.

BPS is a success because of the story - it's unique and so enjoyable, leads who delivered the lines perfectly that you fall in love with them and humor that makes the whole cast shine including the servants.

I know I shouldn't compare LR and BPS but it'll come up sooner or later in award shows, ratings, etc. I want Ann, Nadech and Yaya to see the difference and learn what works and what feels fake for their future projects.

Agree. What BPS has is not only a great cast, but an awesome story line. It's interesting and freshly interpreted.

Do you think Ann was too much of a fan that she tried to hard so it fell a little flat?
Also about the subbing, I thought Ann said the channel sold it to China and they'll do their own subbing. She said they had to edit out a few things to comply with the laws in China. I don't think I heard anything about English subs but I wonder if they will sell it to sites like Dramafever and Vikki. Would they have Thai speaking fans to translate it or would they translate it through chinese?


Omg today's episode felt like I'm watching a brand new lakorn!! There's so many new scenes! I wonder which version they sold to china.

My main criticism will be that there is nothing new to be excited about LR. NY has been paired so much. LR is a remake. Princess bodyguard story has been told so many times so many ways. You can only spin the same story so much. I wish Ann would stop remaking her own lakorns. I think it's finally getting to me. I want her to be more creative. lol

Yeah, she has so much potential to be a great producer for great lakorns. I love her crew, she just recycles too much. I liked STT, but that's partially because of Pope, haha. I LOVED Ab Ruk Online (her most creative work!!), but even that fell flat because of her bias @$$ and crappy writing.

Ch3 is not that smart with their business compare to ch7. I mean ch7 lakorn is not even 50% modern like ch3 but they cater to their viewers. Maybe that's why the owner of ch7 is like top 5 richest in Thailand while ch3 is like under top 15

I watched that one too. Hehe. Must be Ruk Rai? Or Rai Ruk? I dropped it though, because of the inconsistency in filming. In one scene Mai will look good with his clean cut hair and then in the next scene he's got shaggy hair. haha.
