Sadly, I don't really wear caps tbh.... but I might consider finding occasions and excuses to do so because of Pope lol! And it is because of him that I wanted the cap he designed too!

Part 2 – And the Stars Re-Aligned!

Hi all!

I’m trying to gather my thoughts from this rollercoaster experience! Sorry for my long windedness! Didn't edit at all too.

Keke, saw some of you asking where did I get my info from? Gosh, I can tell you we did not have any complete info at all! It’s just hit or miss

On Friday 12 midnight, I msg-ed a Thai lady who posted on a BPS FB page. Nope, I do not know her at all. She was posting about Pope coming to SG and hoping people will support him. Intro myself to her and asked for her help if they know any info on flight details. She was so kind to help check til 230am… And really, throughout the whole of Friday at the airport and later at the venue, she was constantly in touch trying to confirm on the flight, the changed timing, etc. Their side was having a hard time getting info as well! She said that a lot of Thai fans are rendering their support to us that we can meet Pope and really, it touched us alot! Seems that since this is a private event, the flight details were really kept secretive??

Back to yesterday 6pm…

After Rosi left for the day (will let her tell her side of the story as she’s off for a company retreat today/tmr), my friend, Michelle, came and we decided to park ourselves at the barricade area leading to the entrance. We were told that the guests will be dropping off in Porsches at the entrance. OHHH! How come the conceirge told us a different story just now? And that began a 3 hour standing exercise! We were surrounded by Avengers stars’ fans and when they saw our support boards, they were like “Who is this guy?” And so began a short intro on Pope and BPS, haha.

Really, this experience is really about meeting benefactors – the right people at the right time! So happened that another SG fan left early and this lady came to stand beside me. She’s Chinese who’s born, bred in Thailand and speaks Thai and Chinese. Came to SG for Avengers with a group of frens and was thrilled to know that Pope is attending too. She’s been a pope fan for 7 or 8 years as well! After some 3 hours after we squeezed there, I was just short of giving up hopes of seeing Pope. No sign of Pope at all. Guess he went in to the event hall by another route?? And the fashion show had ended. Was just hanging around for another SG fan to come by after work. Then something MIRACULOUS happened! The Thai/Chinese (TC) fan spotted Pope walking by behind near us??!! They ran out and I was still like huh??!!

And gosh, there is Pope’s back facing me! He was starting to take selfies with some fans. My friend, Michelle and I were like stone statues, standing there and watching… OMG, IT’S REALLY POPE!!

I'm very happy to report that I'm the only one who asked him can I give you a hug and he said OK!! So I gave him a tight hug for a few extra seconds!! So pleased to say that at least I've got him hahahahaaa and now can hopefully move on with my usual life of 3 months ago. But I must tell you that he's a very beautiful little thing!! Not little as in short or slim stature but a perfect built ..... you take a look at @phatman 's icon and that's how he is. The entire package is like a teenager with something stunning about him that you can't look away! He does!! He looks like 19 .... 20 .... like that!! Not 35 at all! His face is like a kid!! Even I can't believe this is the Por Kate of the hunky size & the arms - but I guess the camera adds pounds.... This morning he was in a striped T-shirt & like a tweed grey sports jacket, the Hugo Boss cap pulled so low down. He's a lovely, lovely size!! I get to see close up he's got a slight shadow and a slow hesitant smile; his blue jeans and the light bag he carried everything about him is perfect in all the right places with the height, clothes, everything. The cute thing is he's got so many paper carrier bags, the sister was saying they have so many already..... One of bags @Starsapphire recognised it's hers she gave him yesterday with the plush Merlion, and the boards she made with the local CHinese newspaper articles - so he'll know he's made it famous into our local media too. One of the girls with us, @Starsapphire 's friend TRISHA who works at the airport bought him and Bella a local latest faze - crispy potato chips & fish skins with salted egg flavour.

They were actually going to rush off to the airline counter & we thought to ask him for autographs & selfies after that. But when we indicated to him if he's coming back they were like no - so I straightaway took out the photo starsapphire gave us & got him to sign!! Yayyyyy.... then we took out the rest & he patiently signed all for us. He didn't say much but was ready to do it. I feel like his sis is the one engineering how far he could go with something, and the fact that she allowed him those minutes with us was about all the time he had. I also ahhhh I'm just too friendly!! once or twice I grabbed his brawny arm to get his attention, and I managed to say to Pope what somebody at the office taught me to say - you are handsome and very handsome, you soowei marr soowei legen.... haha, he smiled shyly at that!! I probably said the wrong thing! And then the sis made a gesture like cannot touch his arm so I moved back quickly! Man, I didn't mean to touch him so many times but I think that's just me! Anyway the evening before I said if we did meet him at the carpet event I wanted to say just one thing "I am very happy for you and your success". So this @Starsapphire 's friend translated for me and I took a pic off her phone to practice over and over. But it was so difficult!! After the first few seconds I forgot the entire thing. This is it - chan dee jai tan tee khun pra sob kwam some red ka. Needless to say this morning when I saw Pope I clean erased off the whole line! So I did the next best thing, I asked the sis nicely - could you please do something for me? I said can you please tell him I'm very happy for him, and his good fortune? She said clearly, Sure! I said thanks and so relieved! Pope was still signing away....

Then they went off straight to the counter and he was trying so hard to just look down and they keep close together, we could tell they just wanted to get away. They also went straight into the VIP lounge without looking back! It was enough though, what we had. There were no group photos or selfies but we guessed because he looks so tired & that facial hair (he didn't shave) maybe he won't when he's not in make up or something. But I thought him looking so plain and ordinary is much more attractive that you would have thought over any ordinary man on the street. I can see any girl falling for this guy, and whoever she is is a very, very lucky girl!! We're not wrong to be crazy over Por Date!!

I just saw some photos him arriving BKK and looking so different from when he was with us. I like to take that it's that he's just not prepared that he does have fans here - and he wants to be at his best when he meets them/us. So it's ok, let Bangkok side have their day. Starsapphire has fan groups who's saying the other side fans even waited overnight but didn't get a glimpse of him (he had to last minuted change airline/airport - passport issues). Poor them!!

The other thing was, we also had a but of a minor worrying panic! Yesterday starsapphire asked his sis which flight but she only smiled & said she can't say that info. This @milquety suddenly had (well both she & myself didn't get to see him so we're quite the devastated ones) the thought what if the sis knew we're coming she might not like it & change plans! But we thought we shouldn't worry. Yet somehow, when the original plan is to meet 5.30am onwards, all of us in our own way arrived at around 5 to 5-15am! And at around 5.18 Trisha who arrived just like 5 minutes before spotted the sister! Lucky she recognised the sis; it was just Pope & her with no luggage but just his light bag & those carrier bags they were lugging. They travelled so light without luggage at all! What if Trisha had not seen her??! Pope is damn low key you can't see his face! And she saw they arrived by cab - not any limo or anything VIP grand. If we had not been sitting near that very entrance I really don't know what will happen. Trisha & some of the girls are versed with KPop stars & they would cut to the last minutes like 6.30 and dash - so for Pope to arrive before 5.30.... if we had come the agreed earlier plans.... oh no what a disaster right? Me & milquety & Trisha would be heartbroken all over again. Why were they so way beyond early?

But all in I would say I'm satisfied, my heart is appeased, full, I saw him in person and I wanted that so badly. It's all good now. I hope he can see from the list there's 57 Malaysians in the card, and overall so many from USA. He might just make it to California, LA, Canada and anywhere in the USA just for you.

Part 3 – A MIRACLE, A DREAM CAME TRUE!

We saw Pope! He looked so mightily dashing in his dark blue Hugo Boss suit - a princely feel, a face of quiet dignity and charm. Nek was pushing us forward to get selfies with Pope but we couldn’t – simply cos we were still in a state of shock! Think Michelle mentioned to me the Nek (the Thai/Chinese fan) explained to Pope that we are SG fans. We then showed him our support boards (dunno where we managed to muster the courage…!), he smiled broadly and oohs and aahs. Then, I began in rapid English (I was feeling rushed that he needed to leave already!) that we are SG fans, had waited for him at the airport this morning. Actually I didn’t know what he said in reply at all as he spoke gently/softly. It was only just now when we met up at the airport for the sending off that the Nek said that Pope replied it was an “accident” in English. Oh, he understood all that we said but maybe really just very shy to reply/speak much in English?


We managed to take selfie with him. Had planned to flank him but he moved me to his right too, so that he, the selfie guru, could take the selfie with his all muscular hand. Michelle was then holding up the support board and told me that Pope was using his right arm/elbow to help raise up her hand from below too til the selfie was taken. Awwwwww~ Is it to ensure that the support board got into the picture view? And/or to relieve Michelle from the strain? Either way, it’s so sweet!

Everything happened in a blur and I couldn’t really recollect alot of scenes- please pardon me~ I need other fans’ help to tell me too haa! In the midst of these, Michelle actually managed to borrow a marker and asked Pope to sign on one of the support boards. By this time, the Hugo boss assistant was already getting/pushing Pope to leave. Michelle must have shown Pope her pleading puppy eyes and being the super nice guy as always, Pope signed the board!

As he began to walk off, I suddenly recalled that oh no! I still have with me a paper bag for him! In it were the 2 SG Chinese newspaper articles, the Merlion chou chou and a short printout explaining on Merlion and the meaning of Chou Chou! Quickly moved forward and passed him the paper bag. Also told him this is from the International Fans and that we have an English online forum. Couldn’t recall what else I said!! Did I put out my hands and asked for a handshake?? I couldn’t recall, gosh! I asked him to come back to Singapore again and suddenly, I remembered the Thai translation that the FB Thai fan, Pat, taught me! "Ma Singapore Eek Ka"! I forgot the ‘Ka’ and Thai fans helped me along. Think I heard laughter around, maybe at my bad pronunciation, haaa!

Then he walked off, leaving Michelle and I squealing! Gosh, we should have followed the entourage of fans who trailed him all the way back to the Hugo Boss boutique!

After the other SG fan, Tricia, arrived, we went to Hugo Boss and saw another Thai fan, Poon who said Pope was there til a while ago! Aiya, missed him. Nek later told us this morning that they escorted him back to the hotel area. Then we happened to see Pope sis and the Hugo Boss asst walked by.

@milquety managed to pass her card to Pope sis to pass to Pope! They were very happy to see the card! I asked on his departure flight details but she politely replied she can’t reveal… Ok we can understand…

We hung around MBS for a while… thinking if Pope will come down for a meal? You know, there’s the famous Chilli Crabs! Well, no luck and we decided to call it a day… a long day in fact, with beautiful memories to last us for a long time to come…

Sooooo beautiful. Thankyou so much girls. I'm so happy for you guys. Words can even explain. I wanna meet him one of these days.

What if Trisha had not seen her??! Pope is damn low key you can't see his face! And she saw they arrived by cab - not any limo or anything VIP grand. If we had not been sitting near that very entrance I really don't know what will happen. Trisha & some of the girls are versed with KPop stars & they would cut to the last minutes like 6.30 and dash - so for Pope to arrive before 5.30.... if we had come the agreed earlier plans.... oh no what a disaster right? Me & milquety & Trisha would be heartbroken all over again. Why were they so way beyond early?

But all in I would say I'm satisfied, my heart is appeased, full, I saw him in person and I wanted that so badly. It's all good now. I hope he can see from the list there's 57 Malaysians in the card, and overall so many from USA. He might just make it to California, LA, Canada and anywhere in the USA just for you.

It was a while ago while BPS was still airing and when he first exploded with popularity. The fans got sooo crazy they were all shoving, pushing, and breaking stuff. One of the phone that his sister was holding to take a picture of him for a fan dropped and broke. His sister was so pissed at the chaos that she went to her ig to post her displeasure. The reporter asked about it and he was very sweet and humbled about it. He said he's not mad and that he understood the fans, that they must had waited a long time and just wanted to see him.

Oh Must tell you guys something funny!!!! Sometime after the arrival of the first original flight 11.15, passengers started appearing at the entrance. And there was this guy - Pope!! His face, the profile everything! You guys go and ask @Starsapphire he's like 80% Pope and since we've never seen the real guy before I thought it was!! I approached him and he looked at me and he "Wai" saying sawad dee.... I don't remember what I did with my hands - did I wai him back, I don't know!! But I asked - are you Pope? And he looked at me for few seconds.... then this lady came up with a nameboard & held it to him and they walked away..... hahahaaaaa. He's such a dead ringer for Pope, even he believed he was Pope because when I asked him he never said NO. He just looked at me like blurrrr.

I still find it funny as I recalled the incident now. Rosi was like zoom! and dashed forward to the guy! Really looked quite alike!

In fact Rosi scared me a few times in the airport looking at the slew of passengers coming out n saying is that Pope!? Heart attack...
