Laos people in the U.S. looking like Thai Lakorn Stars

i realized that most of my frends and family members could deffinitely pass as a thai lakorn star or atleast models. like i hate how thai people think they are so much better than laos people...honestly i dont think they've seen laos ppl in the u.s. cause they are just as pretty...anyways, let me know what you think

when i was in thailand, the people working in the hotel were saying that i could become a thai model :huh: :huh: i'm assuming standards aren't too high in thailand :lol:

is there something goin on bt Laos and thais? I know they dun get along. Seems like thai have a lot of hatred toward other races. But i kno it can't be the whole thai people. i kno it's thai, cambosian, and laos....hm.............who else?

haha no no no..well theres always going to be little feuds..but i mean im part thai, just more laos, and i do have a lot of thai frends, like SOME ppl in thailand just see laos ppl this way, and i was jus seeing the reactions of others, i hope i dont offend anybody lol..this was jus in my mind at the time i wrote this

yeah and yeah lao people in the states without all the makeup and shaved brows [and drawn back on brows] will definitely qualify as a hot looking star.

well thais are not very excited with laos, cambodia and malaysia...and vietnam too i think because they are quite underdeveloped. they will more likely look up to countries that are wealthy like US, England & Europe, or the more developed countries like Japan, China, and Korea... that's why ppl are going insane over their entertainment.

you don't see thais being crazy about a lao, khmer, or vietnamese singer do u? lol :lol:

right now the big thing is lao artist crossing over to thai
i think there are gudges but thats from the past of fighting over land and stuff
thailand is starting to be more lik the us japan china n so on so i guess they consider then in that group, but it is true in a way
laos has come a long way though their just not as far as thailand

as for the comment about the eyebrows i totally agree
never really understood that

We should start a debate topic and see who knows much of their heartland country.

I know for certain that some. NOTE: I SAID SOME, NOT 100% Thai that lives in Bangkok doesn't like us, but Isaan... of course they're going to like us in some ways, because their ancestors originated from Laos.

It will be a very interesting topic to discuss our differences and feelings.

still will they accept u even if ur some what alittle thai?? that's what i'm wondering...........cause my grams is half Thai but does that make me thai, alittle and not alot....lol so it's going to hard to get around that area......damn it why aint i mixed and rich, i'll surely get an easy access into the entertainment industry.........hehe jk jk :drool:

fued between laotians and thai people date back since the kingdoms of siam and lan xang. but recently there are some thai people who look down on laotians, just like how americans look down on canadians, australians looking down on new zealanders etc...

i personally don't have anything against thai people though

yes, agree. you are lao, and pretend that you lost something (necklace, wallet - you were robbed or what ever) while you were in thailand and you go to the police, they will say "Why are you wearing it" or "why do you bring it" something like that rather than a word for helping like "we will try to find it , etc" (seems like they don't want to help) (this is a true story because my aunt's friend had experienced it. she's like, what da heck! it's none of ur business! - she's goin shoppin). If it's american or foreigners that are from developed country, they will act differently.

i didn't mean to say all of them will, but most. remember once when Spicy magazine wrote something about the comparison between thai and lao words, that's profaning and looking down. there's a web (lao web) where they discuss that.

most thai ppl are the same: lookin down at ppl from other countries that are underdeveloped. is it like their symbol or something?

i know some didn't do what i said, and it doesn't imply to some of you if you weren't.

anyway, i really don't like when ppl look down at me, to be honest. >> no offense!

not just the lao people shaved their eyes brows it other nationality also and not all lao people shaved their brows...and what wrong with wearing make-up every nationality in this earth that is a female or some male haha lol wear make up. Some lao people dont' need to up make up to look like hot star. they were born hot without the make up.

i just hate it when they look down on other races and even the U.S. do it too not just Thai people. I just hate it. Afterall, we r all the same...we r people. That's y when u have money it's good. They think that oh becuz u r from an underdeveloped countries u must be poor or the majority or u r poor and that's why they treat that race differently. They think that p0por p0eople dun have any class or manner and not all people think like that, but the majority do. Like, in the U.S. people think that oh u r chinese cuz u r asian, but they dun kno there r diff asain people. In Asia, if u r white or chinese/korean/Japanese(cuz they r all light skin people) they will treat u differently and with class and i guess that's how light skin is significant in social class.
