This is going to be very long. I might have to break it into two posts. This is more like a review of ep.12 for me.
I finally watched ep.12 with sub title last night. It was more bearable this time than the first time I watched it without sub. I have to say I was able to enjoy it more last night. But overall, ep.12 is still too sad for me.
Through ep.12, I was able to see the depth of Tun’s love for Lan. I also came to a better understanding of Lan's feelings and decision to leave Tun. I think in Lan's mind, she thinks she knows what is best for Tun, which is saving his life and career (his job has always been a priority to Tun). At that moment, it seems like Racha was the only one who can do both. So she took the most self-sacrificial approach which we all know is to gain Racha’s help by leaving Tun.
Well, as much as I admire her sacrificial way, I still think her action is rather rash and cruel :scratchhead2: (don't get me wrong, I like Lan and sympathize with her pain and struggles :sweat: ).
For the most parts, she already had it all wrong about what was best for Tun. She failed to see that if Tun was already willing to take a bullet for her, it would mean that she is more important to him than his own life and needless to say, his career. All Tun wants is to have Lan by his side through thick and thin.
Sometimes when we are trying too hard to get what is best for ourselves and our loved ones, we fail to see that it is already there by our sides. In Tun and lan's case, they have each other.
I noticed one thing that Tun likes to do his works in bed, especially at night while he and Lan are ready to go to bed (this happened in ep.12 too). I always wondered why he didn’t want to do his works in a study room or on a desk (obviously his house is big enough to have both).
Then something just dawned on me while I was watching ep.12. Maybe Tun wants to have Lan by his side as much as he can including the time when he has to finish his works at home (of course except the time when they both have to go to work).
I noticed that even when he was busy reading, he would take a moment to turn to Lan or to check on her. Seriously if I had to get my works done, I wouldn’t want a distraction lying next to me. I think this is another way of seeing how much Tun wants Lan.

Tun’s character has already been portrayed as a workaholic in ep.1. But I rarely saw him working over-time at the office ever since he and Lan got married. He seemed to always make it home for dinner with Lan. So I come to a conclusion that Tun would rather lose his life and career than lose Lan.
Back to Lan’s approach of handling the crisis, I think she could have talked it over with Tun. I believe together they would have come up with a better solution. It is rather cruel of her to give Tun one special memorable last night together, and then walk away without a note. I agree with someone’s saying that she could have at least left him a letter or note. I can imagine how hurt Tun must have felt when he was handed the divorce paper from Racha.
Then again, without this separation, we won’t be able to see Tun’s changes. The ball is now rolled into his court. He has to take the initiative to save his marriage. He can no longer be on a passive side waiting for Lan to do all the hard works. I still think a brief separation for them is good and necessary, but I wish it could have been done in a better way.
But again, this is a lakorn, and we can always rejoice that in a lakorn world, our pra ek and nang ek would somehow find a way to forgive each other in the end, kiss and make up and continue their life journey together. This is also why we are so hooked on it every time.
I am sooooo looking forward to the happy ending of our most loving lakorn couple (still hoping for a memorable ending though)
