P'ek is a doctor and he owes n'ek's family money.
As a way to pay n'ek back, p'ek has to marry her.
They make a deal that they will marry for 5 years and he would have to pay her back within those 5 years. If they end up separating he would have to pay her back immediately.
Another reason for n'ek to marry p'ek is because her biological uncle is in love with her.

Love this lakorn too...the hmong dubb ver of this drama was excellent (very few good hmong dubs nowadays)

Somewhere in the lakorn n'ek has to pretend to be p'ek's wife and pretends to be pregnant.
N'ek was abandoned by her poor mother and was raised by a gay man.
N'ek has 2 sisters, both with their own problems and love stories. (the one of the sisters ends up being pregnant and that guy abandons her)
Her mother is found and it turns out she has 2 more child siblings.
Her mother is kind of a b**ch to n'ek and nice to her other sisters (for no reason)
The mother dies at the end of the lakorn.

-pra'ek younger cousin, who is nang'ek, turns out to be the daughter of this gold digger woman that once seduced his uncle...for money pretty much
-nang'ek goes to live with pra'ek and brings her mother and two step siblings along
-nang'ek, pra'ek and pra'ek fiance are always against each other and pra'ek fiance always find a reason to make nang'ek look bad
-pra'ek does business with this couple from England who turns out to be very fond of nang'ek
-nang'ek is actually the long lost daughter of the wife of pra'ek's business partner
-nang'ek and pra'ek discover they ARE NOT cousins
