I’m convinced the sequel is going to be about...
Por Date’s random older brother. From what I got in the last episode, he was somehow framed and had to be forced away from his family. Somehow, he made it to his father’s funeral. They never told us why he left.
The actor that played him was Dream Natanop. If he’s the sequel’s p’ek, he has a lot of weight to carry on his shoulders. I’m not a fan of him and his work, but I don’t think I’m going to close him off yet. He just hasn’t had a memorable lakorn yet, so this may be his big break. If my theory is right, I hope the sequel isn’t made for a newbie actress. Better yet, don’t even have a sequel! BPS should be left alone if it’s not the original cast!

actually its still going to be Pope and Bella in part of the lakorn. Khun num kanchai say that khun nong arunosha have confirm its already and will start prodution next year. Khun nong arunosha is currently reading part two of the book right and she confirm to be Pope and Bella as pek and nek.

Nope! Por Sri got beheaded. It was mentioned in the last episode. The king was heartbroken in his death bed when he found out Por Sri got executed.

Agh, I must’ve have misinterpreted it because there was this scene between Dream and his mom. He said something like he was greatful to have been back for the funeral. I thought he had promised that he’ll find a way back. Joi sent him off and everything on the horse. Boran talk sometimes gets me confused haha. Thanks for the clarification.
So, what was the point of his character then? It would be random if there was no continuation...
And why would the king be upset about the execution on his deathbed? How were they related seeing it that he was supposedly a traitor...

I think rewatching the drama a second time will make things much clearer because now you know which character is which. Haha. I came into the lakorn not knowing anything about Thai history, so it took me a couple of episodes to familiarize myself with their names. I did learn a lot though!
I think the author was impressed by this historical figure so she brought him into the story. The lakorn however did not incorporate him into the story much. Those that read the novel told us in the thread that his significance was that because he was so loved and highly favored by the King he was the envy of many. That jealousy caused him to be exhiled and the praek took it as a lesson to not seem so smart to others in order to prevent jealousy. Kade also tried to change and influence history by trying to save him from execution but found that fate could not be change.
He was accused to having an affair with the King's concubine. The king sentenced him to death but because he was so favored and loved, he was exhiled instead. In the other province, because of his smartness, he was again favored by the chancellor causing others to be jealous and accused him of the same thing. The chancellor had him executed and that made the King mad. The King said if he pardon him for the same accusation then what right did the chancellor have to execute him? the King ordered for the execution of the chancellor using the same sword that he used to execute the brother. What's scary was that the brother made a curse poem saying let mother earth be a witness for those who wrongly accused me, may you die from the same sword that was used to sentence me. That peom is very popular in Thai literature and I did it no justice with my horrible translation lol.

I think his story was in the novel but the script writer didn't put him into the lakorn because he is an unconfirmed person but the director asked for him, reason liked you said. I think it was @jeanie1 that told us his story in the novel.

Oooooohhhh. That's why?!?!??! I totally missed it. Omg. I need to rewatch like ASAP. Haha. I thought Sri was exiled and then to be beheaded by the King's order that's why he was sad. I didn't know it was because the chancellor in the place he was exiled to who had ordered Sri to be beheaded! No wonder when he said he was doing well at his new place Mama Jampa went don't try to stand out because it may result in the same thing. Oh lord. Haha. Me and my brain cells.

I was once watching a Thai horror and I remember them saying that also. A guy had ran over a pregnant girl and she ended up dying. It was a hit and run, so the guy who ran her over ended up with the same death as the girl he ran over. It’s pretty scary.The curse poem sounds hella creepy.
