^ They started working with One31 last year. This is their 3rd drama there, the previous ones were "The Sound of Chao Phraya" (Maprang and Ter) and "Pretty Lady" (Marie and Tre).
Not sure if it's the ultimate reason, but read somewhere that the Pordeecom boss' son wanted to do a BL and they can't seem to do it with Channel 7. (Interestingly, they're currently airing a BL series on a Sunday afternoon timeslot.)
This got a 2.9 last night. With 3 more episodes to go, I wonder if this can get as high as 4.0 in the finale.
This is no "Wanthong" (and it'd be unfair to compare this drama to its predecessor). But glad to see One31 really sustaining its hit streak and in the process Esther and Film getting good ratings once again after a string of underperformers in their respective belts. (Well to be fair those dramas aired last year when the network itself isn't doing that well too in its primetime.)
Last night's finale rating was at 3.9, almost the same as its counterpart drama in Channel 7.
Average rating throughout its entire run is at 2.607, making this the 3rd highest-rating primetime drama of One31 for 2021 (behind "Wanthong" and "Krachao Seeda"/"Only You I Need" although the latter has technically not yet ended).
This is also Pordeecom's highest-rating drama in One31. Both their previous dramas ("Pleng Rak Chao Phraya" and "Lady Bancham") had an average rating of below 2.0.
For Esther and Film, this is their 3rd highest-rating drama since 2017. (Esther had higher ratings with both her dramas with Bie S - "You're My Destiny" and "Prom Mai Dai Likit"/"Pure Intention". As for Film, this was only topped by "Mia 2018" and "Ruen Benjapit".)
I feel like Thai lakorn has improved on their slap kiss genre... no more dragging on p'ek hating and misunderstanding n'ek. However, their story after that need a bit work. This, for example, sounds interesting at first but eventually became boring and repetitive (which is after episode 6).
