I'm liking this version so far. I really like how they fleshed out praek and nangek's childhood more. Nong Mali is totally adorable and it breaks my little heart seeing her cry even if it's acting. I'm sure Por would be so proud of her!
One scene that I always hated in the old version was when Tewarat killed the cow! Loool. So I'm SO happy they changed that in this version where he didn't kill it and it was one of his "buddies" that did it. And I love seeing how even though he is still an arrogant jerk, he still has some remorse. He felt bad the cow was actually killed and made sure his little buddies got some punishment from him for it. And wow, it actually showed a bit more on why he's such an asshole. He was and still is being abused by Captain's character, which is his adoptive father, correct? So no more cousin love thing going on, lol. But the child abuse was very sad to see. I'm glad he still remembers his nong Chompoo though! I don't remember if that was ever addressed in the old version? But it makes me happy! I'm SUCH A SUCKER FOR CHILDHOOD FRIENDS. It must be so confusing for Sarika to see her sweet P'Chai grow up to be so mean too. Welp, I hope we get to see moments where Sarika will remind him of his nong Chompoo and then he starts being suspicious of her hahaha. I can't wait to see Sarika break through his mask!
I loved that moment of Sarika and the older lady at the market. I don't remember if she was a mom to her or aunt to her but it was so sweet to see. The respect is still there from Sarika to her and I love to see it.

Next week, it looks like the scene where Tewarat gets jumped and Sarika saves him may be coming up? That was a favorite scene of mine in the old version. Hope they kept it, lmao. It was also the moment I felt like Tewarat started to really like her and continuously persued her afterwards. And another hated scene of mine was when Tewarat killed his own horse to prove a point to Sarika or something. Ugh. That scene seems to be coming up as well. ): This time he seems to be taking it really hard though. Well, I can't wait for next week! I'm so excited! Loved the old version so I hope I can love this version just as much!

OST

I think ratings are pretty decent? I'm not too familiar with what's a decent or good rating for ONE31 dramas, but I think this number should be pretty decent. I hope it continues to go up! I think one of their higher ones right now is in the 4's so I hope FPD can reach that as well if it continues to be good.

Looks like this could be One31's highest-rating primetime drama this year (unless "Sai Roong" or "To Sir, with Love"/"Khun Chai" which also stars Film manages to really rock the ratings). First 2 episodes rated 2.3 and 2.6, respectively. 2.3 is already the highest rating for the pilot episode of a One31 primetime drama.

I didn't watch the other version...I started the captian...but also stopped....I listen to the summary and was upset about the cow

I'm glad it didn't follow that

I'm upset about the horse....I hope they modify that as well....the horse is to represent chompoo or reminded him of her.....the last link to his humanity....

I find the they bring out this version in a sexy way

Onehd usually so around 2? Really good rating us like 3-5. Sometime they reach that level....usually their rating is less than ch3.....but for awhile now ch3 and 1hd are on par.

I'm looking forward to the upcoming ep

That scene was powerful....meaningful

I also like how they show his mental struggles...psyche.....the character is in a psychosis....life love abuse...mentally and physically

The scene afterwards...was also very good and powerful

It’s been so long, but from what I remembered Chompoo/Sarika’s father is wealthy and her uncle has always been envious of him. The uncle plotted her dad’s death in hopes to get the inheritance. Things happened, she was raised by someone else and plans to get her father’s property/assets.

I love the characters development and change.....esp...the "rai' girl.....she has goals....and a loveline.....no love triangle between friends

This paled in comparison to Captain and Aom's version. I like Prang but I'm not sure she was right for this role. I like Film too but they made his character too mopey for my liking. I love Captain but there was way too much focus on his character and I hated how they made him show up until the very end. They made the dad too overly abusive and there was too much focus on the psychological damage inflicted on the pra'ek. In Captain's version the dad was a dick but he did it because he wanted his son to get the inheritance and it was obvious that he loved his son. Tewarat's dad here was just plain evil and didn't love no one, I also hated that they added him having a mistress and Tewarat being her son instead of Pikul. AND how dare they take out the sex scene in the abandoned barn!!!!! Film and Prang didn't have the sexual tension that Aom and Captain had. For all the making out they did, I wasn't feeling the chemistry between Film and Prang. This version didn't have heart that the old version did. I loved the scene where Tewarat in the old version had his final moments with his dad and his dad begged him to call him dad and Tewarat didn't have the heart to say it until after he died. We didn't get that here. This lakorn wouldn't have been fine if it wasn't a remake but having seen the 2001 version ruined this version for me. Some parts felt boring and it didn't go nowhere too, felt like an old Exact lakorn with all the killing and attempt of murder.
