Yes the channels themselves submit their list of nominees.

That's why it was rather controversial for instance that last year Mai and Bella weren't nominated. Apparently Channel 3 didn't submit their names.

List is dominated by One31, although I gotta say in previous years many of these nominees won't hold a candle at all.

"Ruk Laek Pop" seems to have the most nominations. I'll tabulate later to confirm.

Apparently, the venue of the awarding ceremony will be at JSL (which co-produced "Ruk Laek Pop"). Hmmm.

Over at the Online Series category, "Mother" and "Daughters" both aired on TV. ("Mother" aired on both GMM25 and PPTV, while "Daughters" aired on PPTV). But "One Year" which was a LINE TV exclusive for almost a year before it aired on TV wasn't included there.

And "2gether" for Best Ensemble Acting, really? I mean I enjoyed the series while it aired, but in hindsight really?

I'm quite disappointed that "WHO ARE YOU" didn't make it in the final cut, after all those nominations they received in a couple of Asian award-giving bodies.

My husband in law was one of the few lakorns that I liked in 2020. From acting, direction, music and cinematography, everything was good. Hope Mark and Aew win an award each. They deserve it.

I agree about Bangkert Klao! I liked the acting in that one and Num did surprisingly good too haha. I’m glad at least one of the non-main channels are getting recognition.

Ch3 didn’t have that many good lakorns in 2020. The only one I enjoyed from start to finish was My Favorite Sunshine. Roy Lah Marnya started off good, but drag towards the end. “My Husband In-law” lead characters wasn’t likable and when p’ek turns good, I lost interest and same for n’ek. There was way too many unnecessary characters in there.
I saw a little bit of Tawan Arb Dao (Channel 7), but that didn’t keep me interested. Yui was good in there though, she did made me feel pity for her.
Why didn’t ch7 submit So Wayree? That lakorn was good from beginning to end, Mookda did a wonderful job portraying a young mother. One HD seems to be dominating the awards, hope they win it all! Lol. I heard good things about Bad Genius the series. Might watch that when I have time.

Will Khun Sant's magic work for a 5th straight year, with Tor's Best Actor nomination being the only nomination for his drama? Just to recap:

Will Khun Sant secure an acting award for his directorial project for a 4th consecutive year?

2016 - Pong Nawat won Best Actor for "Blood & Treasures".
2017 - Mew Lalita won Best Actress for "Revenge".
2018 - Marie Broenner won Best Supporting Actress for "Mia 2018"
2019 - Yaya, James Ma and Khun Pu are all nominated for "Klin Kasalong". (If the past trend persists, maybe Khun Pu should win Best Supporting Actor hahaha.)

Pu Montree won Best Supporting Actor for "Klin Kasalong". Khun Sant's streak of his drama winning at least acting award stays alive for a fourth consecutive year.

Also, impressive for Tor to have a nomination for a fourth straight year. I'd still say he should have won last year for "Hua Jai Sila". But I think Num might win the award this year though; he's the only veteran in the line-up and it's his first nomination as well.

I just hope "Toong Sanaeha" won't pull something a la "Krong Karm" last year. I haven't seen both dramas, but I imagine these 2 being leagues apart in terms of quality and reception (based on the feedback I've been seeing).

Yes the list for this year is not that impressive. Didn't ch7 have so wayree, sapai import,etc which got really good rating last year? Tbh i think ch7 deserves more awards for their actor/actresses and dramas as they are really good and i find it better than ch3 lakorn last year

I remember one year, an underrated lakorn like “In Family We Trust” got nominations for almost everything was something I thought well deserved! It won over BPSP and that was what award shows should be… not give to popular actors and tv shows.
