I agree that even the native speaker of English makes mistakes in terms of grammar. So, it is acceptable if a non-native English speaker such as myself commit some mistakes when it comes to speaking. To tell you the truth, I'm an English teacher myself. My degree is in TESL (Teaching English as A second language). I must admit, I, too, sometimes I make mistakes in terms of speaking, particularly in grammar. But we learn from our mistakes. I am not ashamed to say that there's alot more I have to learn, particularly in grammar and vocabulary. So, in my opinion, to be competent in all 4 major skills in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing) is an advantage. But excelling in one skill or two, is not bad too. If Aum can speak and write in English well, it's good. If he can only write well but doesn't speak in English well, I also don't mind! Anyway, we do not know for certain whether he is an excellant user of English language or not. To me, it's all good! B)
