Anything by Lois Lowry. I'm so sad I read them all already. They will make you cry. :lmao: Not sad but very touching books.

I used to be a romance novel freak. :) You should totally check out Sunset Embrace by Sandra Brown, The Bride by Julie Garwood, Only His by Elizabeth Lowell, Then Came You by Lisa Kleypas, It Had To Be You by Susan Elizabeth Phillips, Double Standards by Judith McNaught. Happy reading!

Sticky Rice
Evermore By Alyson Noel
The Warrior Heir
If I have a Wicked Stepmother, Where's My Prince?

I haven't personally read any of them...but i want to... ^^;;

sarNie Adult
I don't read romance, usually I just stick to thrillers and action/adventures so not a big help. But I just finished The Doomsday Key by James Rollins a few days ago and it was super. I recommend it and it sorta has relationships in there too in between all the adventure stuff.

Official Robert Pattinson Ambassador
a really good book you say?
I just happened to finish The Time Traveler's Wife by Audrey's going to be a movie with Eric Bana and Rachel you should definitely read it before seeing the is so made me cry.

Another good story is The Immortal Instrument Series by Cassandra Clare...there are three in the trilogy...
City of Bones
City of Ashes
City of Glass

I read all three in three days....seriously I couldn't put it down.

I also recommend anything by Jasper Fforde...especially the Thursday Next Novels...very inventive writing and humorous as h e l l. lol
The first one is callled The Eyre Affair

someone already mentioned Evermore by Alyson Noel...the sequel is coming out Today Tuesday...Blue Moon....

Omg you read Lois Lowry? LOL she was one of my favorite Authors growing up. Her and Joan Lowery Nixon.
Tina. Could you recommend any other authors who writes storylines like Lois Lowry? I really like them. TIA!

sarNie Juvenile
If you liked The Giver, you might like Brave New World, 1984, Ender's Game, and possibly Anthem...if you think your mind is open enough. Utopian/genetic engineering/Socialism
ayn rand writes amazing novels...they're really long, but the stories and the philosophical concepts are so captivating...her novels include Atlas Shrugged, The Fountainhead, and Anthem.

i don't know any vampireish rmance book!
but you must readd kite runner & a thousand splendid suns!
i LOVE those too books. a thousand splendid suns is so tragic but trust me you shld read it anyway ! : D
right now im reading a bookk called a "the spirit catches you and fall down" at the moment its also very good
oh yeah i just remembered.
a romance/ghost book its a series called "the mediator" by meg cabot based on a girl who could see ghosts and she have to solve their cases so that she could "send them back" and her lover is a ghost from like the 1800s or somethin. hes hot.

Have you tried reading anything from Joan Lowery Nixon? Kay Hooper is Also Pretty Decent . Sue Grafton is not to shabby either there are a few authors actually I just can't name them from the top of my head. I'll go through my collection and let you know later LOL Ohh and Steven Saylor if you like historical suspense LOL

@topic classics are great also. I love Pride and Prejudice muahah anyone who knows me know it's my favorite book, but Jane Austen work is great in general. I loved Emma, Sense and Sensibility was decent. Also, if your in AP classes in high school those classic books esp by Jane Austen, Ayn Rand are good for you; I personally liked The Anthem. The giver, Ender's Game, and etc are all good books also. Handmaid's Tale (a little adult content) but it's actually pretty decent.
