I was quite upset at first seeing him given a non main role, and I read you guys's complaining at few first pages of this thread as why he is supporting...
I was about to skip this drama, but then mydramalist updated he is actually one of the main leads, then I gave it a try.
Well, I feel exactly what you feel about him and Got, everytime they appear on screen with that soundtrack, I got goosebumps everywhere, the way they appear and fight is so cool, I love their bromance here. As the drama goes to end, we more realize the main story of this drama is all about how Taksin become King. He doesn't need to appear most of the time on screen to be a main lead. He has showed the reason why the producer asked him to take this role, not to mention his look is quite matched to the image of King Taksin in history. I believe Aum accepted this role for reasons.
Not only us, as I lurk over ch3 FB page to read audience's feedback about the scenes of Taksin... google translate them of course...lol... Most of them also express how they feel goosebumps and thankful to King Taksin, and in fact many of these posts even got highest likes compare to other posts relating to NDFD.
I like Teaw and JJ 's chemistry of course, but I love Aum so maybe I sound bias here...lol...

Idk what's kept me going honestly. Like the storyline is (was) sooo choppy, Taew isn't an actress I avidly follow, I don't even like James, my hot trio barely gets any screentime, what is it that kept me going?? The eunuch's?? Hahha.

I’m not a super fan Aum but he’s the best in acting and still watch his some of his lakorns
Although he’s not really the main lead in NDFD, nobody can’t pull off playing King Taksin like he does. He’s is perfect for that role. I wish he play leading role but it sad that he’s playing second lead male of his next lakorn.
