Lastly, is Duang divorced or did he just leave her husband? Poor guy getting scolded by Duang's social climbing rich parents.
She's not divorced. She just left him. Duang lied to Saran saying he deceived her and they will be divorcing. However, she sent a telegram to her husband's side of the family that she'll be staying with her family in whatever province they're from. Lol. She needs time to herself and once she feels happier, she'll return.

I hate to say it, but it's true. Only Bella (so far) can make those looks from James Ji's eyes appear. Might I say it, in his other lakorns, James Ji is always just "cute" but here he actually has scenes where he's handsome.

Oh maaaaaaaan! Wednesday is so far away! Even without subs, I'm enjoying this one so much. I love Rin so much, even the villain, played by Mint is impressive. That anger and bitchiness in her eyes, with the teardrop... god. that was amazing. And even Arun is so damn annoying but adorable in a weird kind of way.

Oh maannnn! So that means Duang dropped by Saran's for a booty call that's it?! OOOOOHHH MAAAAAAAN! Well, Mint is so good at playing a biatch. James Ji had been with Noey for so long, damn, Marathee and Songsaeng ain't got nothing on Duang. She's the real deal right here.

Could someone please explain what they were talking about towards the end of episode 3 when Saran was looking worriedly at Rin almost like he didn't want her to hear what Duang was saying when they were eating with Arun?

Duang and Arun were trying to talk about how they only get to live once so they're going to try to find happiness any way they can with the person they love, even if it goes against duty and morals. They both were trying to ask Rin and Saran wouldn't they want that too, and not the sad life of following duty? Little do they know, in a lakorn the pranangs get both, happiness, being in love and still being moral and right lol.

have come to the conclusion that James suit bella and vice versa..their on screen chemistry is so good that when they are paired with other people they always fail to match it..worried for my Kimmy but I know she can do make it work.

To be fair to James, he's only had Bella, Punch and Yaya. I thought he was fine with Punch but I couldn't finish the lakorn cause Wawa made me want to punch the screen everytime her mug popped up. As for Yaya, you could tell they were just both uncomfortable together. Yaya hasn't had any chemistry with any of her costars either besides Nadech so that's on her too.

I'm not that worried about Kim and James. Kim, like Nadech, always seem to have chemistry with everyone they're paired with. And Pa'Jaew seems to have an eye for chemistry.

But I'll say James and Bella are one of the "koojins" I don't mind cause they're not attached at the hips. It's been 3 years since their first one together and there are people who aren't koojins that have paired up more often than they have. Their next batch of lakorns are also with other people.

But then how come Duang declared that they are 'husband and wife already'?? (in the preview)

I haven't seen today's episode yet but I'm assuming they slept together in the past. I thought one of the flashbacks implied they did?

Smart girl. Except, in that day and age we know that it is nearly impossible to deny your husband rofl. Not saying that it doesn't happen, but very highly unlikely lol.
Edit: The little girl who plays Rin as a little girl is so beautiful!
Another Edit: James tend to stand out more in period lakorns so far, but then he has mostly period lakorns. His lakorn with Punch didn't really stand out because I spent to much time focused on how much screen time Wawa got lol.

I love how everyone in here is really open and straightforward about their feelings. No stupid misunderstandings due to lack of communication, no "I'm pisssed at you but I won't tell you why" type thing. Everyone's got understandable reasons for the things they do and they tell it like it is.

Rin gets mad at Saran and she tells him exactly why. Saran does the same. In ep. 2 I said I loved how Rin made her arguments to Saran and this episode I liked what he told her when she got mad at him about sleeping with Duang in the past. She was the girl he was going to marry and planned on having kids with so they did it. I also liked that he asked her if she never made any mistakes and had a perfect past. And Rin listened! No being stubborn just for the sake of being stubborn.

I like Bella's innocent face when Rin insults Duang. I really like Saran's mom too and and the mom/son relationship. Their convo about the whole sleeping with Duang mess was good as was her telling Duang and Arun to back off.

The script is really good and unique.

Yeah that gag about him breaking into her room every morning is pretty cute. And for a guy who's been dumped by his lover and knows he's being deceived by his wife and her family, he's pretty chill. You know in any other lakorn, he'd be bitter as hell at all women for getting dumped by one and then would be super mean to n'ek for n'rai's sins and for lying to him.

Haven't read every page in this thread so unsure if this was ever mentioned ... Does Rin's background ever get revealed? Is it possible that the person Saran is hunting is related to her?

Yes. Rin's background will be revealed. So you can rest assured that you will get to see it at the end. LOL. :)

It's so good. Love how the plot draws you in but it isn't at all stressful. These type of lakorns tend to be horrible. The good wife theme always rubs me the wrong way because it shows how submissive women should be to fulfill their wifely duties. It's such a frustrating theme because the n'ek has to endure a lot of bs to win over p'ek's heart. But in here, Rin doesn't bite her tongue and actually stands up for herself. That's how respect should be earned. No one's going to respect you if you allow them to treat you like dirt. Although she's a maid, she values herself enough to demand respect as a human being. Many n'eks from the same background would probably endure abuse because it's their duty to suffer and repay those who raised her. Plus, they'd compare themselves and think they're of lower status so it's not right for them to compete with Duang. But in here, Rin's not like that. She's strong willed and optimistic. She's the light to everyone's darkeness. I love how her character is written. This goes to show that no matter how boring a theme may be, if given the right production, it can become fun to watch. This lakorn became an unexpected joy ride.

I also want to add how I love the comedic fill ins by the servants. Saner Na is such a funny character. Love when he meddles into his bosses' business and says that his real name is Saner Na. Haha. Creative pun.

Oh! Mahalo, could you please explain how it's a pun? Sorry I do not speak Thai. I wa also wondering why Mae Sai (spelling?) has a different accent. Was that supposed to mean something or is it just a character quirk? There would be one more helper, the one of Duang's. I wonder how she will be. And also Jaew? Is that right? She's gonna be Rin's wing(wo)man

Saner Na's literal meaning is to "offer one's face." In other words, it's like taking the lead to offer one's personal recommendations/ thinking. But it's frequently used sarcastically to ask someone who asked for your opinion? Like, why are you meddling? That's why each time he meddles into his bosses' business, he always says that his real name is Saner Na. Lol. It's a ridiculous name and no one would actually have such a name but I think his character was given that name to be comical. Correct me if I'm wrong guys. Haha.

As for Mae Sai, I think she has a different accent because she was probably raised in a different province from the rest of the main characters. When Saner Na ate the spicy food, she said aroy jung hu. I heard that in the Mafia Series when Ananda made Kim eat peppers. I think it's a southern Thai dialect.

Yes it's a southern dialect. I believe they are in the south right now.

I seriously thought this lakorn was going to be so nam nao with the wedded wife vs ex lover plot. I really like that they are not fake to each other, even Duang is straight up. You definitely know your enemy in here. Gosh Duang is sooo thick face but I gotta applaud her for being upfront. She wants what she wants and she isn't afaid to tell you either lol. Makes me want to smack her. I also like that Saran isn't dumb. I really thought because he hasn't gotten over Duang that he would be dumb when she wants him back.

James really fit the period lakorn lol. I can't see him playing any other genre anymore lol.
