OMG I never thought I would say this about this remake but I love it. It just keeps getting better each week. The chemistry between Vee and Min is perfect and they perfectly portray their respective characters. My dad, grandma and I have agreed that this version surpasses the 2000 version. DaraVDO seems to do better with period pieces than with modern, Bo Bae and Ruen Sorn Ruk were also very enjoyable lakorns from them.
This week's highlights: The piano scene, I love how Poj swallows when Chai Klang asks if she is intimidated by him; well yeah dude you are in her face staring at her lovingly so yes. Chai Klang internally thinks that Poj is not trying to trap him but he is... and he doesn't dare finish his thoughts. I love how protective Chai Klang is of Poj and how he is always wanting to give Poj opportunities to be heard and respected like when he takes her to Ying Lek's tea party and this week when he makes Aim show some respect to Poj. The powerful scene where Poj cries telling Chai Klang that she doesn't want to perform because she has no one who loves her to watch her, Min is such a good crier, it made me want to cry too. And Chai Klang's short and sweet letter that he will go to her performance. And of course Chai Klang pouting because Poj ignored him after the performance.
Looking forward to next week's episode. I also wonder why Chai Klang is hugging Pojanee in the credits, it HAS to be a dream sequence, no way would he do that. Curious if this version is going to bring back Chawthip or not, it didn't feel fitting to have Than Tiew as the object of marital discourse. And I hope this version handles Chai Noi's death better than 2000's version with Mom Panarai drowning her disabled son, it was inappropriately done.
