Synopsis:
"Fearless" describes the life of Huo Yuanjia from when he was a little boy eager to get into fights so that he could achieve his ultimate dream: to be the best fighter in his town, Tianjin. Throughout his life, he was challenged to many matches from fighters across China and continually won each bout. Although his greediness for physical superioty comes to an end when he realizes he has very little control of his life outside the ring. After a depart from fighting, Huo Yuanjia takes many years to come to terms with his martial art skill and realize what responsibility and power it truly holds.
By the early 20th century, foreign fighters from Russia and England made open insults to the Chinese calling them weaklings because no Chinese would accept a challenge to a fight. During a fight in Shanghai, Huo became famous for the only fighter to accept a challenge by Hercules O'Brien. He won the fight and became a pride for the Chinese people. Within that year, he also founded Jing Wu Men martial arts school. It is this school, Jing Wu Men, where the movie "Fist of Legend" (1994 also staring Jet Li) begins. Many have stated that "Fearless" is the prequel to "Fist of Legend" because it tells the story of Chen Zhen, the pupil of Huo Yuanjia.

Synopsis:
The worlds of the living and the dead are separate, and ordinarily, no contact is permitted across the divide. And yet in Chinese tradition, the so-called [eldritch flame / shadow flame], which involves the burning of rhinoceros horn, is a proverbial method of piercing the veil between the mortal realm and the hereafter. What is the truth behind this legend? Liu Cheng, a wealthy young entrepreneur from the countryside, heads for the provincial capital with a band of his village brothers to set up a Chinese herbal medicine shop, and in only four short years manages to turn his establishment The Immortal Herb Store into the finest in the land. His ambition fulfilled, Liu is anxious to return home to be reunited with his wife and young daughter. A blazing inferno, however, shatters all his dreams. On the night before his departure, Liu’s plan to have a farewell get-together with his village brothers is tragically interrupted when The Immortal Herb Store is burnt to the ground by a blazing fire. Rushing into the conflagration with no thought of his own safety, Liu is unable to save any of his trapped friends, and can only watch them die one by one in the most gruesome ways — entangled in a pulley-rope while fleeing and choked to death, falling from a great height, crushed beneath tons of falling debris, or simply roasted alive…

Ken Chang .... Lee Wai Lok (as Chi-Hiu Cheung)

Synopsis:
SPL stands for Sha Po Lang, three words derived from Chinese astrology each representing a different star capable of good or evil depending on their position in the heavens. Although this isn't explained in the movie, it's helpful in understanding the three leading characters, all of whom are capable of good or evil. Beyond this, there are karmic repercussions for their actions despite their "noble" efforts to protect the people they care about. Wong Po may be the criminal, but its his love for his wife and infant son that drives his actions, whereas Chan stoops to Wong's level in seeking revenge for the death of a man he had promised to protect. Donnie Yen's character is the outsider in this bitter feud, who lets his loyalty to his police "brothers" supplant a desire for justice and restraint that has been fueled by guilt over the brain damage his overzealous fist caused a petty criminal...
After a criminal trial witness and his wife are murdered before a trial to convict triad boss Wong Po (Sammo Hung), police investigator Chan Kwok-chung (Simon Yam) adopts their surviving daughter and leads a task force in waging a three-year war to put Wong away for good. On the eve of his retirement due to a medical condition, Chan uncovers evidence linking Wong to the murder of an undercover cop and begins using methods his replacement, Inspector Ma Kwan (Donnie Yen) finds questionable. As Chan and his men put increasing pressure on Wong, including stealing a large sum of drug money during a bust and arresting Wong with doctored evidence, Wong responds by hiring a ruthless cop killer (Wu Jing). Recognizing that Chan and his men have crossed the line, Ma must decide whether or not to come to their aid.

Jackie Chan .... Wing
Nicholas Tse .... Fung
Charlie Yeung .... Ho Yee
Charlene Choi .... Sa Sa
Daniel Wu .... Joe
Synopsis:
The story begins with Inspector Chan at a cliched social low point, alone and drunk in a dark alleyway. Flash back a year and he's up to more heroic pursuits like saving a hostage from an enraged investor. A short time later, five masked and fearless bank robbers rappel off a skyscraper roof and steal a huge bundle of cash, only to sit and wait for police to arrive. We soon learn that the robbery was only a ruse to draw out the police and shoot them to ribbons with heavy assault rifles. These seemingly-deranged criminals are led by Joe Kwan (Daniel Wu), the emotionally unstable son of a senior police commissioner and abusive father who has left him with a seething hatred for the law. His accomplices are thrill seekers and also the offspring of rich and powerful parents which has left them disaffected and directionless, making them willing conscripts for Joe's nihilistic rampage. They include ex-US Marine Fire (Terence Yin), martial arts expert Tin Tin (Andy On), video game programming ace Max (Hayama Go), and Joe's girlfriend Sue (Coco Chiang).
After overwhelming the police with superior firepower, they make their getaway to a hideout and with little more than three hours notice, set up a trap for the arriving Inspector Chan and his team. Chan's team is wiped out with sadistic flair, the criminals turn the debacle into an online computer game, and Chan takes leave and retreats into drunken despair. Enter Frank Cheng (Nicholas Tse), a budding police investigator transferred to the case who drags Chan back as his partner for reasons unknown. From here on, Chan begins to piece his life back together by resuming his relationship with Ho Yee (Charlie Yeung), sister of one of the officers slain, and by tracking down the criminals who are planning another cop-killing heist.
