Forbidden Secrets
“I am not one to say but my heart is in so much pain, I watch them take him away. I pleaded with my father to spear his life, but my father only condemned me more. That night I will always remember, till the day I die, I promise I will one day feel his love again.”
Chapter One
The trees willow in the winds as night had fallen, darkness loomed all across the sky. I stood in my window looking out into the mist of darkness that was covering up the land. There he stood, calling out my name, I could feel him wrapping his arms around me once more. That is when I told myself it was only a dream. My father had taken him away from me, he ripped out my heart and step all over it.
“I forbid you to ever disobey me, or you will regret it.” he said as he locked me in my chambers.
I knew nothing of heartbreak until I met him, he was my world. We both knew we couldn’t be together but they way we both felt, it was electrifying. My heart would pound whenever he came near me, when he whisper in my ear, I could feel the shivers down my spine. I love him with all of my heart. But in a blink of an eye, he was gone, and my heart shattered into million of pieces.
Day was approaching, my father had insisted that I take a ride in the woods with him to clear my mind. I hated him but he was my father, what was I to do. I rode with him through out our kingdom, I wanted to ask my father he did what he did, but I was a coward. How could I love someone when I’m afraid to fight for them. I knew in my mind that I would never go against my father will.
“Cheer up dear, there will be other suitors one whom I will approve off.” he said to me as he patted my head.
“Why do you continually hurt me father.” I asked him as tears fell from my eyes.
“I am only looking out for you my child.” he said wiping the tears away.
“But why father, I love him.” I pleaded my case.
“I don’t want to see you get hurt they I did when your mother pass away.”
“What do you mean?” I asked him in confusion.
“One day I will reveal the truth to you.” he said as he rode off.
“One day my child the truth will be known to you and you will forgive me.” he yelled back to me.
My mother died years ago, no one had ever told me why, and I never asked knowing how much it had broken my father heart. I stare at her picture everyday as I walk into the main corridor. My father on his throne, proud and dignify. My mother stunningly beautiful, oh, how much I wished I could have met her. I would ask my nanny how my mother was, all I was told from her was that she was a wonderful woman, and that she loved me very much. I would try to ask her how she died, the only answer I got back was that it was not in my nature to know until it was time.
“Time for what?” I asked her.
“When it’s time for you to learn about your heritage.” she explain back.
I was confuse at all of the nonsense looming around, everyone act if my mother had never existed even though her photograph was everywhere. I was ten at the time, when I met him, the love of my life. A young boy from across the lake, his eyes blue as the day sky, his hair dark as night. He was handsome in my eyes, a fairly odd kid too. He was about thirteen years of age, I would see him walking about in the woods across the lake. I wanted to cross to say hi to him, but was forbidden. I asked my servant why but no one would tell him.
Everyday I would sit and watch him play, as the day grew so did he. I wonder if he had notice me, or notice that I have been watching him from afar. I tried to yell out to him, but it seems he didn’t hear me.
“Hello there.” I yelled out.
Still no answer back, so I yelled out some more, he never even look in my direction. As I kept yelling my nanny came over and told me to stop.
“What are you doing child?” she asked.
“I’m trying to get the boy attention over there.” I explain myself.
“What boy?” she asked me.
“Don’t you see him, he’s standing right over there.”
“Child don’t play with me, I don’t see anyone but the woods across the lake.” she look at me like I was day dreaming.
“Nanny Beatrice, he standing right there.” I pointed out.
“Stop the nonsense child, get yourself up and head to your room and refresh for dinner.”
As I pick myself up of the ground I turn my head back, he was gone.
