Ja woke up and went to wash up when she fainted in the restroom. “Mom, I’m going to check on P’Ja, she hasn’t come down since P’Rita left for work,” say Toey and went upstairs with her mother following her. Knocking on the door, “P’Ja, are you awake yet?” ask Toey but no answer. Toey turn the door knob and it wasn’t lock. Toey and mother went in but Ja wasn’t in bed so they check the restroom and it was lock. “P’Ja,” say Toey. “Ja, open mom the door,” say their mother but no answer came. “Mom, you stay here and I am going to go get help,” say Toey. After a while, Toey came back with Mr. Lien, the neighbor next door. He burst the door open and they found Ja on the floor. Mr. Lien picked Ja up and place her on the bed. Toey thanked him before leaving. Toey call the doctor who came to check on Ja and was told that Ja needs to rest. He gave some medicine for them to boil for Ja then he left. Toey went downstairs to boil the medicine while mom stayed with Ja. After mixing the medicine, Toey feel like throwing up and ran to the restroom. After washing her face, she came back to get the medicine and went upstairs to Ja’s room. “How is P’Ja?” ask Toey. “She hasn’t waked up yet,” say their mom. “Should I call P’Tui?” ask Toey. “Call and see if you can get a hold of him,” say mom and Toey got the phone and dial P’Tui’s number but he didn’t pick up. Toey tried a couple times but with no luck. That whole day, mother stayed with Ja while Toey is downstairs working on the sewing and the selling of the baked goods. That evening, Ja awoke, “Mom,” say Ja. “Ja, how are you feeling?” ask their mom. “What happened?” ask Ja getting up into the sitting position. “You fainted in the restroom,” say their mom. “I fainted?” ask Ja and mom nodded her head, “Go ahead and rest, mom will be downstairs with Toey sewing and selling the baked goods.” “Okay,” say Ja and lay back in bed. “How’s P’Ja?” ask Toey when she saw her mom walking towards her. “She’s sleeping,” say mom.
Aff returned home with the fruits and was yelled at by Mrs. Chumanon. “What took you so long?” she asked. “I’m sorry, I met some friends and we ended up talking so I lost track of time,” she say. “Next time if I order you to do something I want it done right away, I don’t care if you met your friends or family, do my work before you can have your own time,” she say and heads upstairs. Aff took the fruits and put them into the fruit cabinet. She went upstairs and knocks on the door, “Mom,” she says and Pinky opens the door. “What is it?” Pinky asked. “These are the extra money from purchasing the fruits,” say Aff holding out the money. “You can keep the money,” Mrs. Chumanon say, “oh, look through the cabinet and if there are any that isn’t good or is in the cabinet for a while dump them out so there’ll be room.” “Okay,” say Aff and went downstairs to look through the fruits in the cabinet. When Aum came home, Pinky was in the living room, “P’Aum, auntie is in her room waiting for you.” “Is mom okay?” he asked. “She wants to talk to you, she wouldn’t tell me what is the matter,” say Pinky and heads upstairs following behind was Aum. “Mom, are you okay?” ask Aum when he got inside. “Aum, I’m sorry for what I did to Aff but she wouldn’t accept and wouldn’t let me have some fruits,” say his mother. “Aff wouldn’t do that mom, I know her,” he says not believing his mom. “If you don’t believe me, she’s downstairs dumping out all the fruits except for the new ones she went out to buy today, when she went she asked me for money saying she doesn’t have any,” say Mrs. Chumanon pretending to cry. “Don’t cry mother, I will talk to her,” say Aum and heads towards the door. “Don’t Aum; mom doesn’t want her to think I don’t like her because I have done wrong to her before. I don’t want her and you to have problems,” say his mother. “Don’t say that mother I won’t let anyone talk back to you, you’re the elder,” say Aum and went out mad.
“What are you doing?” ask Aum walking into the kitchen. “You’re home, are you hungry?” ask Aff turning to look at him. “I asked what you’re doing?” he raised his voice. “I’m dumping out the old ones that we didn’t use,” she says. “Why not save them for later or give them up for donation to the poor people? I never thought you would be that greedy towards mom,” he says. “What did I do?” she asked. “You asked mom for money for the fruits and you’re throwing the canned fruits that haven’t been open away, you could use them later on,” he says. “I was told to throw them out,” she says. “Don’t lie to me, I never knew you have this side of you,” he say coming towards her. “I did not ask for money nor am I greedy to not let anyone have these,” say Aff. “Is what I gave you not enough?” he asked, “How much more do you need to be satisfied?” “Aum,” say Aff, “I am not that kind of person that you can buy easily with money.” “Why not? Isn’t that how I met you through buying you with my money?” he says. “Aum,” says Aff. Just then Pinky came downstairs and listens to them behind the wall. “What? You know that is true, how we met and where we met; you came from a place where people make money and I have to buy your with my own money,” he say. “Aum, that’s it I don’t want to talk with you,” say Aff and walks passed him but he pulls her back. “I’m not done with you,” he says. “But I am, I was wrong about you, I was wrong by going there but you made me see that I was really wrong for giving into you, you just show me that you don’t trust me at all for all this time,” she says sparing a few tears and wiping them off. “I am sorry,” he says going to her. “No you’re not the one to say sorry, I’m sorry for whatever I have caused you and your family, I will pay that back,” she says and ran upstairs to her room and lock the door. Aum stood in the kitchen unable to think, for the first time he had seen her shed her tears which hurts him. Pinky slowly went upstairs and told Mrs. Chumanon the news. “Finally I know how they met, it won’t be long before I drive her out of here,” say Mrs. Chumanon. That night, Aff cry herself to sleep. Aum came and knocks on the door but she didn’t open the door for him so he went back to his room.
“Nong Gino, it’s getting late so I’ll be heading home okay, I will see you tomorrow,” say Rita to Nong Gino in the living room. “Okay, see you tomorrow early for we’ll be going to Pattaya,” he say. “Okay, I will see you tomorrow,” say Rita and kneel down because Nong Gino is going to give her a kiss. Just when she’s getting ready to leave, Rome came in, “Are you about to leave?” “Yes,” say Rita. “So what is the answer?” he asks again. “I will go,” she says. “Good then see you early tomorrow,” he says. “Who else is going besides the three of us?” she asked. “No one just us three,” say Rome while Nong Gino just looks at them with a smile. “See you tomorrow,” say Rita and walk out. Nong Gino ran to Rome and he picked him up and they look after Rita. “Let’s go read and book and sleep for we have a long day tomorrow, okay,” he says to Nong Gino and took him to his room. After reading, they both fell asleep in Nong Gino’s room.

Ja asked. “No she hasn’t but maybe she’s on her way,” say Toey. “The soup is good, your new dish?” ask Ja with a smile. “Yes,” say Toey. “You will need to teach me this dish, have you had some yourself? What about mom?” ask Ja. “Ja had some already and now mom’s sleeping, I haven’t had some but in a bit,” say Toey. “Don’t starve yourself, you don’t want to be sick,” say Ja then Toey took the bowl and went downstairs letting Ja rest.
While downstairs, Toey set a bowl on the table for her to eat and while eating, she ran to the restroom and threw it up. She was washing her face when she remembers she wasn’t on her monthly cycle this month, “this can’t be happening,” she says while looking at herself in the mirror. “Toey are you in here?” ask Rita coming into the kitchen and saw the bowl of soup. “I’m here,” say Toey coming out of the restroom. “Are you okay?” Rita asked. “Yes, I’m okay,” say Toey holding onto the counter. “I won’t be having dinner tonight, I have to pack for tomorrow morning,” say Rita. “Go ahead, I am just finishing up on mine,” say Toey. “Where’s mom and Ja?” ask Rita. “Mom’s sleeping and P’Ja isn’t feeling well, she’s up in her room,” say Toey. “Is she okay?” ask Rita. “P’Ja fainted in the restroom, doctor say she needs to rest,” say Toey. “Okay, well I will go up to my room and you get your rest also, you don’t look so good,” say Rita and heads upstairs. Toey clean the kitchen and heads upstairs to get her rest.
The next morning, Aum awoke and drove his mother and Pinky to Chiang Rai without saying anything to Aff. Aff awoke, went down and notice that everyone was gone. She cooked breakfast for herself and went outside and saw Mark and Tui driving inside the gate. She went over to them when they got out of the car, “Why are you two here so early?” she asked. “We have a change of plan and will be leaving now,” Tui says. “Let me get my stuff, I wasn’t told this early nor could I go with you,” she says but turns and went inside anyway. “I told Aum yesterday and he told me he was going to tell you to get ready,” say Tui. “Oh, he must have forgotten, he left early today with mom and Pinky to Chiang Rai,” say Aff. After packing her bags, they left.
After eating, “Well, I will be away from home three days, you two take care of yourself and mom,” say Rita to Ja and Toey while mother is inside. “Okay, you have a lot of fun with Nong Gino,” say Ja. “I will try to if someone does not interfere,” say Rita. “Sounds like someone will,” say Toey, “hurry and go before you’re late.” Rita got into the taxi and left while Ja and Toey went into the house. Ja went to help sew the clothes while Toey went up to her room. “How are you feeling today, Ja?” ask mom. “I’m feeling better, I think I got enough rest already,” say Ja. “Have you been thinking a lot?” ask mom. “Of course not, I have nothing to think about except being home with everyone,” she says.
When Rita arrived at the Nampan residence, Nong Gino was pacing outside waiting for her. “Rita,” say Nong Gino running to her. “How are you this morning?” Rita asks hugging him. “I can’t wait to go to Pattaya,” say Nong Gino. He then grab Rita’s hand and run to Rome. “We’re ready to go,” he says and left Rita standing in front of Rome while he gets into the car. “Why are you standing in front of me?” he asked. “Because I was left here, but I’m going,” she says and turn to go sit in the back with Nong Gino. “Wait,” he say when she open the door. “What do you want now?” she asked. “You sit in the front seat,” he says going to put her bag in the trunk. “I want to sit back here with Nong Gino,” she says. “I say take the front,” he yell at her. “Okay,” say Rita and went to sit in the front passenger seat, “you don’t have to yell at me, it’s too early to even begin yelling,” say Rita when she was in and closed the door. Nong Gino was playing with his game. After a while, Rome came in. “Put on your seatbelt,” he says. “I was waiting until you came in and drive before belting,” she says and put her seatbelt on. “Have you eaten?” he asked as he drove out of the driveway. “Yes, you and Nong Gino haven’t?” she asked. “Yes, we have, we just don’t want our nanny to starve on the way to Pattaya because we don’t want to end up at the hospital but at Pattaya,” he says. “I won’t end up in the hospital just because I haven’t eaten breakfast. Even if I haven’t I am not going to ask you to buy me breakfast,” she say. “That’s good because I don’t have money to spend on you,” he say which made her mad, “I won’t talk to you about this subject,” and turn her head to the window. Rome looks at her with a smile before saying, “Oh, I can only booked one condo for us all which only has one room,” he says. “What? Only one room?” asks Rita turning to look at him and he nodded. “Why? What about the ones with two to three rooms?” she asked. “They’re out of them; people are staying there so it’s all booked, we’re lucky to even get the one room, do you know how much convincing I have to do to get the room,” he says. “I didn’t tell you to book the room,” she says. “I’m trying to concentrate on my game, can you two be quiet?” ask Nong Gino looking at them. They both look at each other, “okay, sorry Nong Gino,” say Rita. “Yea, I thought you weren’t going to talk to me,” he says. “Now I won’t,” she says. Throughout the ride, there will be silence then they will bicker with each other until Nong Gino stop them.
By noon, “Toey,” say Ja outside of Toey’s room. “Yes, P’Ja,” say Toey opening the door. “I’m going to take Mrs. Janjaroen’s clothes to her,” Ja says. “I will go, you just got better so you stay with home,” say Toey. “Are you sure, Toey?” ask Ja. “Yes, let me take it to her and on the way back I can get some ingredients,” say Toey. “Okay, I will have it ready for you when you come downstairs,” say Ja and went downstairs. After changing her clothes, she went downstairs and took the bag of clothes to Mrs. Janjaroen.
On the way back, she went to the hospital and got checkup. “Doctor, what is wrong with me?” she asked once inside the doctor’s office and the doctor reviews her paper. “You are doing good, in a good health and congratulation, you’re a month pregnant,” say her doctor. “What, a month pregnant?” she asked. “Yes, I will get you some medicine to help yourself and the baby,” say the doctor and gave her the prescription. “Thank you, doctor,” says Toey and went out. Toey went to the medicine counter and turn in her prescription and waited a couple minutes before getting her medicine. While walking she forgot to check for car and a car stop right in front of her. “Are you okay, miss?” ask the driver after getting out of his car. “I’m fine,” she says still not paying attention. “Why are you walking in the middle of the street?” he asked then notices that it was Toey. Toey looked up at him, “It’s you.” “Yes, are you okay?” he asked. “Yes, I’m sorry I wasn’t paying attention,” say Toey. “It’s okay,” he says taking her back to the sidewalk. “Where are you going? Let me give you a ride,” he says. “It’s okay, we don’t live far from here, I can just walk that will be better for me,” she says. “No, let me give you a ride,” he insisted. “Okay,” Toey say and got into his car. Before he took her home, “have you eaten?” he asked. “I have but have you?” she asked. “No, would you like to have lunch with me?” he asked. “No, I’m okay, you can drop me off at my place then go get something to eat,” she says. He drove her home, “thanks for the ride,” and got out of the car. “No problem, will I be able to come see you sometimes?” “I don’t think that will be a good idea,” say Toey forgetting her bag of medicine, “you have a safe drive home,” and wave bye to him.

He then grab Rita’s hand and run to Rome. “We’re ready to go,” he says and left Rita standing in front of Rome while he gets into the car. “Why are you standing in front of me?” he asked. “Because I was left here, but I’m going,” she says and turn to go sit in the back with Nong Gino. “Wait,” he say when she open the door. “What do you want now?” she asked. “You sit in the front seat,” he says going to put her bag in the trunk. “I want to sit back here with Nong Gino,” she says. “I say take the front,” he yell at her. “Okay,” say Rita and went to sit in the front passenger seat, “you don’t have to yell at me, it’s too early to even begin yelling,” say Rita when she was in and closed the door. Nong Gino was playing with his game. After a while, Rome came in. “Put on your seatbelt,” he says. “I was waiting until you came in and drive before belting,” she says and put her seatbelt on. “Have you eaten?” he asked as he drove out of the driveway. “Yes, you and Nong Gino haven’t?” she asked. “Yes, we have, we just don’t want our nanny to starve on the way to Pattaya because we don’t want to end up at the hospital but at Pattaya,” he says. “I won’t end up in the hospital just because I haven’t eaten breakfast. Even if I haven’t I am not going to ask you to buy me breakfast,” she say. “That’s good because I don’t have money to spend on you,” he say which made her mad, “I won’t talk to you about this subject,” and turn her head to the window. Rome looks at her with a smile before saying, “Oh, I can only booked one condo for us all which only has one room,” he says. “What? Only one room?” asks Rita turning to look at him and he nodded. “Why? What about the ones with two to three rooms?” she asked. “They’re out of them; people are staying there so it’s all booked, we’re lucky to even get the one room, do you know how much convincing I have to do to get the room,” he says. “I didn’t tell you to book the room,” she says. “I’m trying to concentrate on my game, can you two be quiet?” ask Nong Gino looking at them. They both look at each other, “okay, sorry Nong Gino,” say Rita. “Yea, I thought you weren’t going to talk to me,” he says. “Now I won’t,” she says. Throughout the ride, there will be silence then they will bicker with each other until Nong Gino stop them.
By noon, “Toey,” say Ja outside of Toey’s room. “Yes, P’Ja,” say Toey opening the door. “I’m going to take Mrs. Janjaroen’s clothes to her,” Ja says. “I will go, you just got better so you stay with home,” say Toey. “Are you sure, Toey?” ask Ja. “Yes, let me take it to her and on the way back I can get some ingredients,” say Toey. “Okay, I will have it ready for you when you come downstairs,” say Ja and went downstairs. After changing her clothes, she went downstairs and took the bag of clothes to Mrs. Janjaroen.
On the way back, she went to the hospital and got checkup. “Doctor, what is wrong with me?” she asked once inside the doctor’s office and the doctor reviews her paper. “You are doing good, in a good health and congratulation, you’re a month pregnant,” say her doctor. “What, a month pregnant?” she asked. “Yes, I will get you some medicine to help yourself and the baby,” say the doctor and gave her the prescription. “Thank you, doctor,” says Toey and went out. Toey went to the medicine counter and turn in her prescription and waited a couple minutes before getting her medicine. While walking she forgot to check for car and a car stop right in front of her. “Are you okay, miss?” ask the driver after getting out of his car. “I’m fine,” she says still not paying attention. “Why are you walking in the middle of the street?” he asked then notices that it was Toey. Toey looked up at him, “It’s you.” “Yes, are you okay?” he asked. “Yes, I’m sorry I wasn’t paying attention,” say Toey. “It’s okay,” he says taking her back to the sidewalk. “Where are you going? Let me give you a ride,” he says. “It’s okay, we don’t live far from here, I can just walk that will be better for me,” she says. “No, let me give you a ride,” he insisted. “Okay,” Toey say and got into his car. Before he took her home, “have you eaten?” he asked. “I have but have you?” she asked. “No, would you like to have lunch with me?” he asked. “No, I’m okay, you can drop me off at my place then go get something to eat,” she says. He drove her home, “thanks for the ride,” and got out of the car. “No problem, will I be able to come see you sometimes?” “I don’t think that will be a good idea,” say Toey forgetting her bag of medicine, “you have a safe drive home,” and wave bye to him.

“Toey, you’re home, what took you so long?” ask Ja coming to her at the door. “I was busy talking with Mrs. Janjaroen then I met a friend on the way and we went to talk,” say Ja then feel that she’s missing something and look at her hand. “Where’s my medicine bag,” she thought to herself.
“Hello,” say Aff walking in from the gate. “P’Aff,” say Ja and Toey at the same time. “What are you two doing out here?” Aff asked. “Nothing,” say Toey while Ja went inside to inform mom that P’Aff is home. Ja helped mom walk out, “Aff,” say mom and hug her. “Mom,” say Aff, “I missed you and my sisters so much.” They all went into the livingroom to talk while Toey and Ja went to get water and snacks. After setting the waters and snacks on the table, they both took a seat across from mom and Aff. “Why didn’t you tell me you’re married?” ask Aff looking at Ja. “How did you know?” ask Ja shyly and embarrassed because she didn’t inform her older sister. “Your groom is one of the richest in Chiang Mai so why wouldn’t I hear of the news, everyone knows that both of you are married,” say Aff with a smile. “Where’s Rita?” ask Aff. “P’Rita went to Pattaya with her boss,” say Toey, “by the way, why didn’t you tell us you’re coming home? We could have come pick you up at the train station.” “That’s because I want to surprise all of you,” she says.
Then a knock came at the gate, “I will go see who it is,” say Ja and went out. “Hello, can I help you,” she say. “Hi, I am here looking for Toey, is she home?” the man asked. “Yes, she is and you are?” she asked. “I’m Barry,” he introduce himself. Ja went to open the gate for him and he stood unmoving just looking at her. “Come on in and I will call Toey,” say Ja. “Thanks,” he say after recovering from looking at her. Ja went into the house and call Toey. She dropped the clothes and look at Tui for a couple second before picking it back up and put it in the bag. “Where’s mom?” ask Aff. “Mom went upstairs to her room, mom say mom forgot something,” say Ja. “How have you been, Ja?” ask Mark. “I’m doing good, thanks and yourself?” she ask. “I’m doing good,” he say. Barry just stare at Ja before Toey introduce him to her. “P’Ja, this is my friend Barry, and Barry this is my older sister P’Ja,” say Toey. “Nice to meet you,” he say and held out his hand. “Nice to meet you too Barry,” say Ja then held out her hand to him. Ja went back to picking up the clothes then put them in the closet underneath the stairs leading upstairs. Mother came downstairs and saw the people in the living room. “Ja, who are they?” she asked. “Mom,” say Ja and went to help mom go sit on the couch. “This is our mom and mom they are our friends, P’Tui, P’Mark and P’Barry.” “Hi,” say mom, “bring water and snacks here.” “I’m coming,” say Toey with the waters and Aff with the snacks. “Feel free like it’s your home,” say mother. The three men thanked her before sipping their cup. “Toey prepared these snacks, try them they’re really good,” say Aff grabbing a piece. Barry took a bite then turn to Toey, “this is really good.” “Thanks, if it’s good then have some more,” say Toey with a smile. After talking and all, “It’s late, you all might want to sleep here or do you have a place already?” ask Mrs. Jensen. “Thanks but I will be leaving,” say Barry getting up. “Anytime,” say Mrs. Jensen, “if you go drive carefully because it is dark.” “Thanks,” say Barry then turn to everyone, “nice meeting you all and I will be leaving.” “I will see you out,” say Toey and got up. Barry turn to look at Ja once more before leaving.
“Thanks for bringing me the bag,” say Toey opening the gate. “No problem, thanks for the water and snacks, they’re delicious,” he say. “You’re welcome, it’s only a little thing,” say Toey. “It’s better than nothing,” he says before getting into his car and driving off. She went inside and excuses herself to her room. Everyone talked in the living room except for Toey, who was sitting in her bed thinking about what she’s going to do. “Should I tell him? What if he doesn’t accept? What if he’s back with Mint?” all these questions popping up in her mind. By night, “dinner is ready,” say Ja and Aff coming into the living room. “Let me go call Toey,” say Ja then walking up the stairs while everyone went to sit at the table. “Toey, are you sleeping?” ask Ja. “No,” say Toey opening the door. “Are you okay? Dinner is ready,” say Ja walking into Toey’s room. “I’m fine, I am not hungry,” say Toey. “But you haven’t been feeling well, you should eat so that you won’t be throwing up,” say Ja. “I’m okay,” say Toey, “you go ahead downstairs in case they are waiting for you before eating.” “Are you sure you’re okay?” ask Ja grabbing Toey’s hand. “Yes,” say Toey with a smile, “I should be fine tomorrow.” “Okay then I’ll be heading downstairs,” say Ja and left.
While eating, “Where will the two of you be staying at?” ask Mrs. Jensen. “We’re looking into a place nearby the mall because Mark will be working on a project there for the next couple of days,” say Tui. “Both of you could stay here until you leave back to Chiang Mai,” say Mrs. Jensen. “That’s okay, we don’t want to bother your family,” say Mark. “That’s not a problem, we’re a family here,” say Mrs. Jensen then take her plate to the sink. “I will retire to my room and you all rest too,” say Mrs. Jensen then going upstairs to her room. “What will you be doing at the mall?” ask Aff. “I’m helping remodel the new floor,” say Mark. “Oh, why isn’t Toey coming down?” ask Aff. “She’s not feeling well, I have seen her throwing up because she hasn’t been eating enough,” say Ja, “let me take your plate,” and took Aff’s plate to the sink. “Rita’s room is unoccupied at the moment, she won’t be home for the next three days, you may use her room,” say Ja. Tui stood up with his plate and took Mark’s. “Let me show you to Rita’s room,” say Aff leading Mark out of the room. “Let me help you with the dishes,” he says standing next to her. “It’s okay, I can do it,” she say, “You should follow P’Aff and P’Mark.” “Since I will be staying here I might as well help out around the house,” he says. “But this is a woman’s job, not a guy’s,” say Ja, “if you want to help you can help by bringing me the dishes on the table and wiping the table.” “Okay,” he says rinsing his hand and shaking the water off on her. “P’Tui, you’re wetting me, stop that,” say Ja and wet him back. “You’re wetting me too,” he says moving away from her. “Yea, move away,” she says before turning to back to washing the dishes. Just then she felt two arms wrap around her waist. “What are you…”she says turning herself but stop herself when she notice the distance of their face. “Be quiet,” he says and close his eyes. She just looks at him before raising her right hand to touch his face but stop when he opens his eyes. “What are you going to do? Hit me?” he asks when he saw her hand. “No,” she say pull her hand back to her side, “You can let go now, I need to finish washing the dishes before retiring for the night.” “Oh, yes,” he say and let go of her, “I’m going upstairs I will see you tomorrow,” and went upstairs. “What he wants to help but didn’t even do anything, what kind of help is this,” she say to herself before getting back to the dishes and cleaning the kitchen before going to bed.
“This is Rita’s room, you can use this room,” say Aff showing Mark inside. “Thanks, your sister’s room is clean,” he says putting his suitcase on the bed. “Of course, it’s a girl’s room it has to be cleaned,” say Aff. “Thanks for the room, I will make sure to clean it before I leave,” he says. “Well, have a good rest,” she say leaving but turn back to him, “forgot one thing, every bedroom have their own restroom so you don’t have to go downstairs for restroom.” “Okay, thanks for letting me know otherwise I might be running up and down the stairs whenever I want to use the restroom,” he smile. “You can if you want to run up and down the stairs, anyways, stop with the joke, by the way, when are you starting work?” Aff asked. “I’m going to check with the manager of the mall tomorrow and maybe the day after or so,” he say just then Tui came in the door. “This is our room?” he asked looking around, “pretty nice, clean also.” “That’s what I say,” say Mark, “by the way, who say you are going to sleep here?” “Don’t tell me you’re kicking me out, this is the only unoccupied room,” say Tui. “You have your own room,” tease Mark looking at Aff. “That’s right,” say Aff smiling at Tui. They were talking when Ja came upstairs but head to mother’s room with a cup of water. When Aff saw her, she followed Ja into mother’s room.
“Mom, here’s your medicine,” say Ja setting the medicine on the night table. “You can go rest now, Ja,” say mother coming over to get cup of water and her medicine. “Ja, is P’Tui sharing the same room with you or Mark?” ask Aff. “Wherever he wants,” say Ja. “Don’t say that Ja, you’re both married, he shouldn’t sleep somewhere else,” say mother looking at Ja. “I know mother, you say that even though there’s argument, we can’t separate room because that will be bad,” say Ja. “That’s good,” say Aff, “let me go tell him and you can show him to your room,” and went out leaving mom and Ja together. “Remember whatever happened in the past is the past, you’re his wife and you’ll need to see that he is comfortable here, a wife belongs with her husband wherever he is she will be there supporting him,” say their mother and Ja nodded. Ja waited until mother is asleep before turning off the light and heading to her room. She stopped by Rita’s room and Tui followed her.
Inside the room, “you can put your stuff there in the closet,” say Ja closing the door. “There’s a restroom there if you want to wash up,” she says before taking her night gown and walking to the door. “Where are you going?” he asked. “I’m going to use Ja’s restroom,” she says. “You can wash up first then I’ll wash after you,” he says. “Are you sure? You need to get up early tomorrow,” she says, “Therefore you need to wash first and get enough rest.” “I’m okay, go ahead,” he says and she then went into the restroom. When she came out, Tui was lying on the bed with his eyes closed. She went over to him and taps him on the shoulder, “P’Tui, you can use the restroom now,” she says. When he open his eyes, “oh, sorry I kind of doze off,” he says getting up and rubbing his neck. “It’s okay, go wash up first before you sleep,” she says handing him two towels and he took the towels from her then went into the restroom. When he came out, Ja was out in the balcony looking at the stars. “You like watching the stars?” he asked coming behind her. “Yes, they’re pretty,” she says before turning to him, “I’m going to sleep and you can sleep on the bed.” He looks at her before closing the balcony door, turn off the light and climb into bed.
When they arrived at Pattaya, “This is a long drive, I’m tired,” say Rome getting out of the car. “Who told you to come this far?” she asked helping Nong Gino out of the car. “It’s a great place to escape the city and have fun,” he says. “I’m tire,” say Nong Gino yawning. “Let’s go get our key,” he says and all three of them went inside to the receptionist. “Hello, we’re here to get the key,” he says. The receptionist asked for his name and his guest. “I’m Rome Nampan and here is my wife, Rita and my son, Gino,” he says to the receptionist. “Thank you sir, here is your key have a great time here at Pattaya,” say the receptionist. “Thanks we will,” he replied with a smile and taking the keys and all three went back out to the car to get their suitcase. “What was that for?” she asked. “What?” he says. “Why did you say I’m your wife and Nong Gino is our son? They don’t need that information,” Rita says still holding onto Nong Gino’s hand. “If we’re a family, we’ll get special discount so that’s why I say that,” he says. “Well, next time come up with something else,” she says and grabs her bag and Nong Gino’s. Rome showed them to their room then lay on the couch. “I’m so tire,” he says. “Rita, I want to sleep,” say Nong Gino. “Let’s go to the room and you can sleep,” say Rita and they both head to the bedroom. After a while, Rita came out, “Hey, are you hungry?” she ask Rome but he didn’t respond. She tap him on his shoulder, “Rome, would you like something to eat?” but still no response. She then let him sleep on the couch and brought him a blanket. After setting down and all it was already night time so she went to wash up and heads to bed. Nong Gino was sleeping in the middle when Rita climbed into bed. Later during the night, Rome awoke with a pain in the neck. He turns on the light in the livingroom then went upstairs to find Rita and Nong Gino sleeping on the bed. Somehow Rita is now sleeping in the middle while Nong Gino is sleeping at the left side of the bed. Rome went to wash up and wore only his boxer then climb into bed.
Toey slept but in the middle of the night, woke up because she was thirsty. She went downstairs but on the way, Mark also came out of the room. “You’re not asleep?” he asks when he saw her. “I am on my way to get a cup of water, what about you?” she says. “Same thing,” he says and they both walk downstairs. “Your sister says you’re not feeling well,” he says. “It’s nothing big,” say Toey. “What is the matter?” he asked. “Nothing,” she says again. “You know you can tell me anything,” he says and taking a chair. Toey pour two cups of water then hand one to him. “Will you listen?” she asked nervously. “Of course why wouldn’t I,” he says. “I…I’m pregnant,” say Toey. Mark looks at her, “You’re pregnant?” and she nods her head. “How did you know?” he asked. “I went to the hospital for check up and was told that I was one month pregnant,” she say not looking at him. He thought back to the time they’ve met and it was a month and a couple days. “What do you want me to do?” he asked which made Toey look at him. “Nothing, I just want to let you know,” she says then got up and begins walking towards the stairs. He then got up and went to hug her from behind. “Will you marry me, Toey?” he asked all of a sudden which shock Toey and she begins to get teary. “What?” ask Toey. “Marry me,” he repeats. “Are you sure? I don’t want you to marry me because of the baby, don’t let the baby be the reason,” say Toey. “I really mean what I say, I’m not marrying you because of the baby,” he says and turn her over to him, “I have wanted to ask you to marry me but couldn’t find the right time to talk to you alone.” “Mark, maybe you should give this more thought before I answer you,” she says, “even if you were to not marry me, I would still have keep the baby.” “I am not going to let you raise our baby without me being there,” he say cupping her face, “were you thinking about raising the baby alone and not telling me?” After a while, she nods her head. “I would have been mad at you if that was the case,” he say then pull her in for a hug. “I will ask your mother for your hand, I am not going to let you get embarrass because of my selfish act.” Then Toey hug him back. Aff who couldn’t sleep came out of her room and listen from upstairs and heard everything.
The next morning, Rita awoke to find herself in Rome’s arm. “Rome, Rome,” say Rita trying to push him but he wouldn’t let go. “Ae,” he says still in his sleep. Rita pause for a moment before pushing him full force, “let me go,” she say waking him. “What’s that for?” he asked rubbing his eyes. Without saying anything to him, she got up and went into the restroom. Nong Gino was just looking at them from the door. “What happened, my little prince, why is she mad?” he asked. “Uncle, you hug her and you call Ae’s name,” he say then ran downstairs. “I call Ae’s name while I’m hugging her?” he ask himself before going downstairs. “That crazy man, how did he end up in bed and… urg, I hate him, I hate him,” she say to herself then splash water over her face. When she came downstairs, “breakfast is ready, you took a long time in there that I have to cook, you just want me to cook huh?” he asked. “No, you could have waited for me to come down and cook, I didn’t tell you to cook,” she say going over to sit next to Nong Gino. “What do you want to do today?” she asks Nong Gino. “I want to go sailing,” he say and quickly eats his breakfast. “Sailing?” ask Rita. “Yes,” he says. “Let’s go do something else,” she says. “Don’t tell me you can’t swim,” Rome blurt out. “Who says I can’t swim? Even if I can’t I won’t ask for your help,” she says. “Okay, we’ll see,” he says and went back to eating. When Nong Gino finishes his breakfast, he pulls Rita outside and they went walking and searching for seashells and crabs. Rome didn’t join them until he washes up first.
Rita and Nong Gino were searching for seashells when Nong Gino found one and ran to Rita when Rome came out. Rita and Nong Gino take turns holding the seashells and pretend to post for a picture which mesmerized Rome because they can have fun like close family members. Other people were around and when Nong Gino saw Rome, “Daddy,” he yells to Rome. Rome smile and came over. “What is it, Nong Gino,” Rome asked. “Can you help me and mommy find seashells? There’s too many mommy and I won’t be able to find all of them,” he says. “Nong Gino…” say Rita but Rome cut in, “Sure, daddy will help you and mommy, okay,” he says taking Rita’s hand. “What are you doing?” ask Rita when Nong Gino wasn’t paying attention to them. “Just holding your hands like a husband and wife would do,” he says. “But we’re not husband and wife, people are looking therefore you can let go of my hand,” she says. “Don’t you understand Nong Gino? He wants to play like other children with both parents here to watch and play with him, why can’t you just do this for him?” he asked. “Huh?” she say looking around and saw that the children there have their parents with them. “Doesn’t matter you can let go of my hand and we’ll both help Nong Gino search for seashells,” say Rita trying to pull her hand away from his. “Stop it,” he says holding onto her hand tighter. When Rita turns to look at Nong Gino, he was looking at both of them with sad eyes. “Okay, mommy will help you too okay,” say Rita and smile which made Nong Gino happy.

Aff went to open the gate for them then walk up to Toey and Barry. “Toey, you want to introduce your friend to us,” say Aff. “This is Barry and this is my older sister, Aff, P’Tui and P’Mark,” say Toey. “Hi, nice meeting you all,” say Barry then held out his hand to Mark and then Tui. “Nice meeting you too Barry,” say Aff. “Why don’t all of you come in,” say Aff and they all went in. Inside, Ja was putting the clothes away when Aff came in, “Look who’s here,” she say and Ja turn around to see Mark and Tui. She dropped the clothes and look at Tui for a couple second before picking it back up and put it in the bag. “Where’s mom?” ask Aff. “Mom went upstairs to her room, mom say mom forgot something,” say Ja. “How have you been, Ja?” ask Mark. “I’m doing good, thanks and yourself?” she ask. “I’m doing good,” he say. Barry just stare at Ja before Toey introduce him to her. “P’Ja, this is my friend Barry, and Barry this is my older sister P’Ja,” say Toey. “Nice to meet you,” he say and held out his hand. “Nice to meet you too Barry,” say Ja then held out her hand to him. Tui looks at them before turning away. Aff was looking at Tui then at Ja and Barry. “Why don’t you all have a seat and I will bring you water,” say Toey and went into the kitchen. Ja went back to picking up the clothes then put them in the closet underneath the stairs leading upstairs. Mother came downstairs and saw the people in the living room. “Ja, who are they?” she asked. “Mom,” say Ja and went to help mom go sit on the couch. “This is our mom and mom they are our friends, P’Tui, P’Mark and P’Barry.” “Hi,” say mom, “bring water and snacks here.” “I’m coming,” say Toey with the waters and Aff with the snacks. “Feel free like it’s your home,” say mother. The three men thanked her before sipping their cup. “Toey prepared these snacks, try them they’re really good,” say Aff grabbing a piece. Barry took a bite then turn to Toey, “this is really good.” “Thanks, if it’s good then have some more,” say Toey with a smile. After talking and all, “It’s late, you all might want to sleep here or do you have a place already?” ask Mrs. Jensen. “Thanks but I will be leaving,” say Barry getting up. “Anytime,” say Mrs. Jensen, “if you go drive carefully because it is dark.” “Thanks,” say Barry then turn to everyone, “nice meeting you all and I will be leaving.” “I will see you out,” say Toey and got up. Barry turn to look at Ja once more before leaving.
“Thanks for bringing me the bag,” say Toey opening the gate. “No problem, thanks for the water and snacks, they’re delicious,” he say. “You’re welcome, it’s only a little thing,” say Toey. “It’s better than nothing,” he says before getting into his car and driving off. She went inside and excuses herself to her room. Everyone talked in the living room except for Toey, who was sitting in her bed thinking about what she’s going to do. “Should I tell him? What if he doesn’t accept? What if he’s back with Mint?” all these questions popping up in her mind. By night, “dinner is ready,” say Ja and Aff coming into the living room. “Let me go call Toey,” say Ja then walking up the stairs while everyone went to sit at the table. “Toey, are you sleeping?” ask Ja. “No,” say Toey opening the door. “Are you okay? Dinner is ready,” say Ja walking into Toey’s room. “I’m fine, I am not hungry,” say Toey. “But you haven’t been feeling well, you should eat so that you won’t be throwing up,” say Ja. “I’m okay,” say Toey, “you go ahead downstairs in case they are waiting for you before eating.” “Are you sure you’re okay?” ask Ja grabbing Toey’s hand. “Yes,” say Toey with a smile, “I should be fine tomorrow.” “Okay then I’ll be heading downstairs,” say Ja and left.
While eating, “Where will the two of you be staying at?” ask Mrs. Jensen. “We’re looking into a place nearby the mall because Mark will be working on a project there for the next couple of days,” say Tui. “Both of you could stay here until you leave back to Chiang Mai,” say Mrs. Jensen. “That’s okay, we don’t want to bother your family,” say Mark. “That’s not a problem, we’re a family here,” say Mrs. Jensen then take her plate to the sink. “I will retire to my room and you all rest too,” say Mrs. Jensen then going upstairs to her room. “What will you be doing at the mall?” ask Aff. “I’m helping remodel the new floor,” say Mark. “Oh, why isn’t Toey coming down?” ask Aff. “She’s not feeling well, I have seen her throwing up because she hasn’t been eating enough,” say Ja, “let me take your plate,” and took Aff’s plate to the sink. “Rita’s room is unoccupied at the moment, she won’t be home for the next three days, you may use her room,” say Ja. Tui stood up with his plate and took Mark’s. “Let me show you to Rita’s room,” say Aff leading Mark out of the room. “Let me help you with the dishes,” he says standing next to her. “It’s okay, I can do it,” she say, “You should follow P’Aff and P’Mark.” “Since I will be staying here I might as well help out around the house,” he says. “But this is a woman’s job, not a guy’s,” say Ja, “if you want to help you can help by bringing me the dishes on the table and wiping the table.” “Okay,” he says rinsing his hand and shaking the water off on her. “P’Tui, you’re wetting me, stop that,” say Ja and wet him back. “You’re wetting me too,” he says moving away from her. “Yea, move away,” she says before turning to back to washing the dishes. Just then she felt two arms wrap around her waist. “What are you…”she says turning herself but stop herself when she notice the distance of their face. “Be quiet,” he says and close his eyes. She just looks at him before raising her right hand to touch his face but stop when he opens his eyes. “What are you going to do? Hit me?” he asks when he saw her hand. “No,” she say pull her hand back to her side, “You can let go now, I need to finish washing the dishes before retiring for the night.” “Oh, yes,” he say and let go of her, “I’m going upstairs I will see you tomorrow,” and went upstairs. “What he wants to help but didn’t even do anything, what kind of help is this,” she say to herself before getting back to the dishes and cleaning the kitchen before going to bed.
“This is Rita’s room, you can use this room,” say Aff showing Mark inside. “Thanks, your sister’s room is clean,” he says putting his suitcase on the bed. “Of course, it’s a girl’s room it has to be cleaned,” say Aff. “Thanks for the room, I will make sure to clean it before I leave,” he says. “Well, have a good rest,” she say leaving but turn back to him, “forgot one thing, every bedroom have their own restroom so you don’t have to go downstairs for restroom.” “Okay, thanks for letting me know otherwise I might be running up and down the stairs whenever I want to use the restroom,” he smile. “You can if you want to run up and down the stairs, anyways, stop with the joke, by the way, when are you starting work?” Aff asked. “I’m going to check with the manager of the mall tomorrow and maybe the day after or so,” he say just then Tui came in the door. “This is our room?” he asked looking around, “pretty nice, clean also.” “That’s what I say,” say Mark, “by the way, who say you are going to sleep here?” “Don’t tell me you’re kicking me out, this is the only unoccupied room,” say Tui. “You have your own room,” tease Mark looking at Aff. “That’s right,” say Aff smiling at Tui. They were talking when Ja came upstairs but head to mother’s room with a cup of water. When Aff saw her, she followed Ja into mother’s room.
“Mom, here’s your medicine,” say Ja setting the medicine on the night table. “You can go rest now, Ja,” say mother coming over to get cup of water and her medicine. “Ja, is P’Tui sharing the same room with you or Mark?” ask Aff. “Wherever he wants,” say Ja. “Don’t say that Ja, you’re both married, he shouldn’t sleep somewhere else,” say mother looking at Ja. “I know mother, you say that even though there’s argument, we can’t separate room because that will be bad,” say Ja. “That’s good,” say Aff, “let me go tell him and you can show him to your room,” and went out leaving mom and Ja together. “Remember whatever happened in the past is the past, you’re his wife and you’ll need to see that he is comfortable here, a wife belongs with her husband wherever he is she will be there supporting him,” say their mother and Ja nodded. Ja waited until mother is asleep before turning off the light and heading to her room. She stopped by Rita’s room and Tui followed her.
Inside the room, “you can put your stuff there in the closet,” say Ja closing the door. “There’s a restroom there if you want to wash up,” she says before taking her night gown and walking to the door. “Where are you going?” he asked. “I’m going to use Ja’s restroom,” she says. “You can wash up first then I’ll wash after you,” he says. “Are you sure? You need to get up early tomorrow,” she says, “Therefore you need to wash first and get enough rest.” “I’m okay, go ahead,” he says and she then went into the restroom. When she came out, Tui was lying on the bed with his eyes closed. She went over to him and taps him on the shoulder, “P’Tui, you can use the restroom now,” she says. When he open his eyes, “oh, sorry I kind of doze off,” he says getting up and rubbing his neck. “It’s okay, go wash up first before you sleep,” she says handing him two towels and he took the towels from her then went into the restroom. When he came out, Ja was out in the balcony looking at the stars. “You like watching the stars?” he asked coming behind her. “Yes, they’re pretty,” she says before turning to him, “I’m going to sleep and you can sleep on the bed.” He looks at her before closing the balcony door, turn off the light and climb into bed.
When they arrived at Pattaya, “This is a long drive, I’m tired,” say Rome getting out of the car. “Who told you to come this far?” she asked helping Nong Gino out of the car. “It’s a great place to escape the city and have fun,” he says. “I’m tire,” say Nong Gino yawning. “Let’s go get our key,” he says and all three of them went inside to the receptionist. “Hello, we’re here to get the key,” he says. The receptionist asked for his name and his guest. “I’m Rome Nampan and here is my wife, Rita and my son, Gino,” he says to the receptionist. “Thank you sir, here is your key have a great time here at Pattaya,” say the receptionist. “Thanks we will,” he replied with a smile and taking the keys and all three went back out to the car to get their suitcase. “What was that for?” she asked. “What?” he says. “Why did you say I’m your wife and Nong Gino is our son? They don’t need that information,” Rita says still holding onto Nong Gino’s hand. “If we’re a family, we’ll get special discount so that’s why I say that,” he says. “Well, next time come up with something else,” she says and grabs her bag and Nong Gino’s. Rome showed them to their room then lay on the couch. “I’m so tire,” he says. “Rita, I want to sleep,” say Nong Gino. “Let’s go to the room and you can sleep,” say Rita and they both head to the bedroom. After a while, Rita came out, “Hey, are you hungry?” she ask Rome but he didn’t respond. She tap him on his shoulder, “Rome, would you like something to eat?” but still no response. She then let him sleep on the couch and brought him a blanket. After setting down and all it was already night time so she went to wash up and heads to bed. Nong Gino was sleeping in the middle when Rita climbed into bed. Later during the night, Rome awoke with a pain in the neck. He turns on the light in the livingroom then went upstairs to find Rita and Nong Gino sleeping on the bed. Somehow Rita is now sleeping in the middle while Nong Gino is sleeping at the left side of the bed. Rome went to wash up and wore only his boxer then climb into bed.
Toey slept but in the middle of the night, woke up because she was thirsty. She went downstairs but on the way, Mark also came out of the room. “You’re not asleep?” he asks when he saw her. “I am on my way to get a cup of water, what about you?” she says. “Same thing,” he says and they both walk downstairs. “Your sister says you’re not feeling well,” he says. “It’s nothing big,” say Toey. “What is the matter?” he asked. “Nothing,” she says again. “You know you can tell me anything,” he says and taking a chair. Toey pour two cups of water then hand one to him. “Will you listen?” she asked nervously. “Of course why wouldn’t I,” he says. “I…I’m pregnant,” say Toey. Mark looks at her, “You’re pregnant?” and she nods her head. “How did you know?” he asked. “I went to the hospital for check up and was told that I was one month pregnant,” she say not looking at him. He thought back to the time they’ve met and it was a month and a couple days. “What do you want me to do?” he asked which made Toey look at him. “Nothing, I just want to let you know,” she says then got up and begins walking towards the stairs. He then got up and went to hug her from behind. “Will you marry me, Toey?” he asked all of a sudden which shock Toey and she begins to get teary. “What?” ask Toey. “Marry me,” he repeats. “Are you sure? I don’t want you to marry me because of the baby, don’t let the baby be the reason,” say Toey. “I really mean what I say, I’m not marrying you because of the baby,” he says and turn her over to him, “I have wanted to ask you to marry me but couldn’t find the right time to talk to you alone.” “Mark, maybe you should give this more thought before I answer you,” she says, “even if you were to not marry me, I would still have keep the baby.” “I am not going to let you raise our baby without me being there,” he say cupping her face, “were you thinking about raising the baby alone and not telling me?” After a while, she nods her head. “I would have been mad at you if that was the case,” he say then pull her in for a hug. “I will ask your mother for your hand, I am not going to let you get embarrass because of my selfish act.” Then Toey hug him back. Aff who couldn’t sleep came out of her room and listen from upstairs and heard everything.
The next morning, Rita awoke to find herself in Rome’s arm. “Rome, Rome,” say Rita trying to push him but he wouldn’t let go. “Ae,” he says still in his sleep. Rita pause for a moment before pushing him full force, “let me go,” she say waking him. “What’s that for?” he asked rubbing his eyes. Without saying anything to him, she got up and went into the restroom. Nong Gino was just looking at them from the door. “What happened, my little prince, why is she mad?” he asked. “Uncle, you hug her and you call Ae’s name,” he say then ran downstairs. “I call Ae’s name while I’m hugging her?” he ask himself before going downstairs. “That crazy man, how did he end up in bed and… urg, I hate him, I hate him,” she say to herself then splash water over her face. When she came downstairs, “breakfast is ready, you took a long time in there that I have to cook, you just want me to cook huh?” he asked. “No, you could have waited for me to come down and cook, I didn’t tell you to cook,” she say going over to sit next to Nong Gino. “What do you want to do today?” she asks Nong Gino. “I want to go sailing,” he say and quickly eats his breakfast. “Sailing?” ask Rita. “Yes,” he says. “Let’s go do something else,” she says. “Don’t tell me you can’t swim,” Rome blurt out. “Who says I can’t swim? Even if I can’t I won’t ask for your help,” she says. “Okay, we’ll see,” he says and went back to eating. When Nong Gino finishes his breakfast, he pulls Rita outside and they went walking and searching for seashells and crabs. Rome didn’t join them until he washes up first.
Rita and Nong Gino were searching for seashells when Nong Gino found one and ran to Rita when Rome came out. Rita and Nong Gino take turns holding the seashells and pretend to post for a picture which mesmerized Rome because they can have fun like close family members. Other people were around and when Nong Gino saw Rome, “Daddy,” he yells to Rome. Rome smile and came over. “What is it, Nong Gino,” Rome asked. “Can you help me and mommy find seashells? There’s too many mommy and I won’t be able to find all of them,” he says. “Nong Gino…” say Rita but Rome cut in, “Sure, daddy will help you and mommy, okay,” he says taking Rita’s hand. “What are you doing?” ask Rita when Nong Gino wasn’t paying attention to them. “Just holding your hands like a husband and wife would do,” he says. “But we’re not husband and wife, people are looking therefore you can let go of my hand,” she says. “Don’t you understand Nong Gino? He wants to play like other children with both parents here to watch and play with him, why can’t you just do this for him?” he asked. “Huh?” she say looking around and saw that the children there have their parents with them. “Doesn’t matter you can let go of my hand and we’ll both help Nong Gino search for seashells,” say Rita trying to pull her hand away from his. “Stop it,” he says holding onto her hand tighter. When Rita turns to look at Nong Gino, he was looking at both of them with sad eyes. “Okay, mommy will help you too okay,” say Rita and smile which made Nong Gino happy.

i didn't realize i made her pregnant for a month until i went back and read it. oh, well i'll just have to put something in between and how they'll develop their love feelings for each other. there will be no updates tonight but i will try to get an update sometime this weekend. thanks everyone

here's an update for tonight...
That afternoon, Nong Gino wanted ice cream and they went in search of an ice cream shop. All three of them got ice cream cone. Nong Gino took a bite from both of theirs and he let them take a bite off his ice cream. “Mommy, can daddy take a bite of yours?” Nong Gino asked Rita. Rita looks at Nong Gino then to Rome, “Okay, here,” say Rita and hand out her ice cream cone. Rome took a bite then hand his over also. “What?” she asked. “Daddy’s going to let you do the same,” say Nong Gino. “That is not necessary,” she says lowly before taking a bite of his ice cream. While doing so, Rome put ice cream on her nose. “Look at mommy’s nose, Nong Gino,” say Rome starting to laugh. “What’s that for?” ask Rita and did the same to Rome. Rome began chasing her around the park with ice cream on his finger, “stop it, Rome, stop chasing me,” she yells back to him while running. “Not until I get you,” he say running after her. She didn’t see a stick and trip on the stick but luckily Rome got closer and grabs her but they both fell down. Rome fell on top of her while her hands are on his arms but with her eyes closed tight. A tourist nearby took their picture. “Are you okay?” Rome asked. Rita open her eyes slowly and was staring up at Rome, “Are you okay?” he asked again. “Yes,” she says when she saw where and how they are position and quickly push him and got up. “I’m sorry but I took your picture, would you like a copied once I develop it?” ask the tourist. “No,” say Rita while Rome say “Yes,” then they both look at each other. “Yes, please send us a copy,” he say. “Do you have a paper with your address on it?” ask the tourist. “No,” say Rome and the tourist took out a piece of paper and a pen and hand it to Rome. Rome wrote down his address and hand it back to the tourist, “thank you for capturing the moment.” “You’re welcome,” he says before leaving. They return to the house and Nong Gino ended up sleeping on the bed. Rita went outside and looks out to the sea. “What are you thinking?” ask Rome standing next to her. “I am thinking about my family, it’s been a very long time since all of us came out here,” she say, “it’s so beautiful here when you have all the people you love here with you.” “What are you implying?” he asked. “Nothing,” she say and turn back to go inside but bump her knee on the couch outside, “Ouch.” Rome turn around, “are you okay?” he asked. “I’m fine,” say Rita slowly walking inside the house. Rome stood out there and sat on the chair on the balcony. When Rita got inside, Rome’s cell phone rang and Rita went over to pick it up. “Ae” showed up on the screen and she took it to Rome. “Rome,” say Rita at the door and when he turn to her, “your phone was ranging,” and hand him the phone. “Thanks,” he says then looks at the screen, “missed call from Ae.” He put his phone on the table and looks out into the distance where family are having fun in the water. Rita looks at him for a while before heading back inside but she stood at the other side of the door. Just then Rome’s cell rang again and he hesitated before answering, “Hello.” “Rome, where are you?” ask Ae. “I’m in Pattaya for work,” he says. “When are you returning home? My parents are in town and wants to talk about our marriage,” say Ae. “When I get back we’ll talk about that, okay,” he says. “Okay, but when are you coming?” she asks. “In a couple more days, and I will call when you I return,” he says. “Okay, I love you,” she says. “I love you too,” he says before hanging up. Rita listened inside and was hurt to hear Rome telling someone else that he loves her. Just then Rome came inside and stops when he saw Rita standing there. “Why are you standing here?” he asked. “I was just going to ask if you want anything for dinner or are you ordering dinner?” she asked. “I will order dinner since you must be tire after all the running and playing with Nong Gino,” he says. “Okay, I’m heading upstairs,” she says and went upstairs. She ended up falling asleep while Rome is downstairs waiting for dinner. When dinner arrived, he went upstairs to call her and Nong Gino but they’re both asleep. He went over to her and removes her bangs from her face and smile before going downstairs. Somehow he fell asleep on the couch. In the middle of the night, Rita awoke and saw that Rome wasn’t sleeping in the room. She covers Nong Gino with the blanket before going downstairs. She turned on the light in the living room and saw him sleeping on the couch without a blanket and the dinner was on the table which wasn’t touched at all. She smiles then went over to put the dinner in the refrigerator before going upstairs to get a blanket for Rome. When she came down, she places the blanket over Rome and look at him for a moment before leaving but Rome grab onto her hand. Why aren’t you sleeping?” he asked. “I was but when I awoke you weren’t up there so I came to check if you’re down here and saw you sleeping here without the blanket. So I went to get you a blanket,” she says while Rome got into a sitting position. “Thanks,” he says letting, “would you mind staying here with me?” She hesitated before nodding and took a seat next to him. He grab her hand and held onto it. “What is the matter?” she asked. “I just want to sit here with you,” he says then look at her. Rita feels uncomfortable but was happy to be sitting this close to him. “Why am I feeling this way? When I’m near him my heart beats so fast, what is this feeling I’m feeling for him?” she thought to herself. Just then he cup her face in his hands and lean closer to her. She place her hands ontop of his while staring at him before turning her face. “Don’t,” he says and turn her back to face him. “You’re so beautiful,” he says then lean closer to her, “I want you for myself,” before kissing her. She closed her eyes and let him kiss her. Then he pushes her down on the couch and continued kissing her.
The next morning, Rita awoke and was lying in Rome’s arm. She looks under the blanket and closed her eyes. “What happened to me?” she thought to herself then feel Rome begin to move. “How are you this morning?” he asked and she shyly closed her eyes, “don’t feel shy, we already know there’s nothing to be shy about.” “How can you say that,” she says reaching for her clothes but he stopped her and begins to kiss her again. “Stop it, Rome, before Nong Gino sees us,” say Rita. “He’s going to see his daddy loving is mommy,” he teases. “Stop that, it’s not good for him to see that,” she says. “Alright,” he says getting up and handing her her clothes. “Thanks,” she says before going to the restroom. Rome got dressed and went upstairs to the bedroom. Nong Gino is still sleeping but the blanket is on the ground. He picked up the blanket and places it over Nong Gino then went downstairs. Rita is already out and is in the kitchen cooking breakfast. Rome went behind her and hug her, “smells good,” he says taking in her scent. “Is Nong Gino awake yet?” she asks. “No, he’s still sleeping, he must be really tired,” he says and with his right hand, placed over her’s holding the spatula and cooking together. Rita just smiles.
Ja awoke and found herself in Tui’s arm and he was staring down at her. “P’Tui,” she says trying to get out of his hold. “Shhhh,” he says and closed his eyes, “If I go back would you go with me?” “I don’t know,” she says. “Why is that?” he asked. “Would you want me to go back?” she asked not looking at him. “I don’t know, it’s up to you if you want to go with me,” he says letting her go and got up to go into the restroom. “Then why asked?” she say after him but in a low voice. She sat up on bed then lay back to close her eyes until Tui gets out of the restroom to go use the restroom.
Aff was sitting down in the chair looking at Mark who sits across from her. Just then Toey came down with mom. When mom and Toey took a seat, Mark’s cell phone rang. He excuses himself to answer the phone. “Hello,” he says. “Mark,” say his father. “Yes, dad,” he says. “Your mother is at the hospital, we’re on our way to the airport when she fainted,” say his father. “I’m on my way,” he says and quickly hangs up then went inside. “What is the matter?” ask Tui coming down the stairs. “There’s an emergency and I have to go,” he says then turn to look at Toey when she looks at him. “What’s the emergency?” Tui asked. “My mom is hospital and I have to go asap,” Mark says. “Where? Your parents aren’t back yet are they?” Tui asked. “No, they’re in New York,” he answers then went to Mrs. Jensen, “Thanks for letting me stay here but I will be heading out, thanks for everything.” “Hurry and go, your parents need you at the moment, have a safe trip and come back safely,” say Mrs. Jensen. Mark nod then head upstairs to go pack his stuff. Aff nudge Toey to follow Mark and talk to him which Toey then excuses herself. Toey walk into the room “Is there anything I can help?” she asked. “I got it, thanks for asking though although I want you to do me a favor,” he says looking at her and she nods. “I want you to promise to wait for me until I get back, okay,” he says and she nods again. Then once he finished packing, he turns holding his suitcase, “I will be leaving now, and you take care of yourself and the baby.” “You take care also,” she says then he pull her in for a hug before leaving. “I will go with you,” Tui says then went to pack his stuff. When Ja came out of the restroom, she saw Tui packing. “Where are you going?” she asked. “Mark’s mother is hospitalized, I will be leaving with him back to Chiang Mai then he’ll be on his way to New York,” he says. “You’re already leaving?” ask Ja feeling hurt that he’s already leaving. “Yes,” he says, “is there a problem?” “No,” she says. “Are you sure?” he asked then his cell rang. “Hello,” he answers. “Tui, where are you?” ask Linda. “Linda, I’m on my way back, what can I do for you,” he says. Downstairs, “Tui, isn’t Ja going with you?” ask Aff. “No, she’ll be staying, I may not find time to spend with her,” he says. “Well, when you have time remember that you’re still husband and wife, husband and wife isn’t suppose to separate like this, there are arguments but it shouldn’t lead to separate housing,” say Mrs. Jensen holding Tui’s hand. “Thanks, mother,” say Tui before he and Mark took off. “Ja,” say mother once insider her room. Ja quickly wipes her tears before turning to mother. “Don’t cry,” say their mother and hug Ja.
Once seated in the train and the train is moving, “why didn’t you take Ja along?” ask Mark. “We just got into an argument, and I don’t want to talk about it, I think it’s best if we stay apart,” he says. “Are you sure? Are you scare that someone might fall for her and try to get close to her?” he asks. “Why? Who’s going to get close to her?” Tui asked. “Don’t you notice? I notice that Barry has been having eyes on Ja, the first day that we got there, he didn’t shake Aff’s hand when they were introduce but he did shake Ja’s hand and when he’s going to leave, he did look at Ja before leaving,” say Mark. “He wouldn’t dare get close to her because she’s already married,” say Tui. “But he didn’t know that and if you don’t claim her then he isn’t wrong to try to get close to her because if he doesn’t know then he isn’t to be blame,” say Mark. This got Tui thinking and he is confused whether he should take her with him or not but since the train left already he decided it’s better for them to stay apart like said in her room.
Toey was in her room when Aff came in. “Can I come in?” she ask at the door. “Yes, come in,” say Toey. “I heard what happened yesterday,” say Aff closing the door and coming to sit by her on the bed. “Yesterday?” ask Toey and Aff nods. “Why don’t you tell us that you’re pregnant?” “I am scare of what you all would say,” say Toey and begin to get teary. “You don’t have to be scare of anything, we’re a family and we’ll go through the problem together, you’re not alone,” Aff says, “how did you met Mark?” Toey told her the whole story and cry on Aff’s shoulder. Aff promised not to tell anyone until Toey gave her the okay but they weren’t aware that as they were talking Ja and mother walked out of Ja’s room and overheard. Ja took mother to her room, “Ja, I’m going to be a grandma?” ask mother with a smile. “Yes, mother,” say Ja. “Your father would be happy to know that he’s going to be a grandfather if he is still here today,” say their mother. “We’re sorry that we have disappointed you and father,” say Ja. “It’s no one’s fault, your father and I are proud that all of you are taking care of yourself even if all of you have met hardship and are willing to accept life as it happens,” say their mother, “you can get going, let mom rest okay,” and Ja left.
When Ja got downstairs, Barry came to visit. “Hello,” say Ja going to open the gate for him. “Hi, am I bothering you and your sisters for coming here?” he asked following her into the house. “Of course not, feel free to whenever you want,” she says. “What are you and your sisters doing today?” he asked. “We’re just home,” say Ja then have Barry sit in the living room while she went to get a cup of water for him. “Let me go tell Toey and P’Aff that you’re here,” say Ja and when he nods, she went upstairs to get Toey and Aff. “Hi,” say Aff once all of them are down. “Hi,” Barry says. “How are you today?” ask Toey. “I’m doing good, I want to see if you guys are free to go picnicking since today is a beautiful day,” says Barry. “That’s great, Toey and Ja can go with you while I have some work to take care of,” say Aff. “It would be nice if all of us go,” say Ja. “Just go ahead and have fun, I have to take care of some business before I go back, I can’t stay here long, go have fun and let me know how it goes,” say Aff, “let me go pack some things for the picnick.” “It’s okay I got it all prepared, I hope you’re okay with the foods that I packed,” he says. “We’ll eat whatever you packed,” say Toey then they all head out.

That afternoon, Nong Gino wanted ice cream and they went in search of an ice cream shop. All three of them got ice cream cone. Nong Gino took a bite from both of theirs and he let them take a bite off his ice cream. “Mommy, can daddy take a bite of yours?” Nong Gino asked Rita. Rita looks at Nong Gino then to Rome, “Okay, here,” say Rita and hand out her ice cream cone. Rome took a bite then hand his over also. “What?” she asked. “Daddy’s going to let you do the same,” say Nong Gino. “That is not necessary,” she says lowly before taking a bite of his ice cream. While doing so, Rome put ice cream on her nose. “Look at mommy’s nose, Nong Gino,” say Rome starting to laugh. “What’s that for?” ask Rita and did the same to Rome. Rome began chasing her around the park with ice cream on his finger, “stop it, Rome, stop chasing me,” she yells back to him while running. “Not until I get you,” he say running after her. She didn’t see a stick and trip on the stick but luckily Rome got closer and grabs her but they both fell down. Rome fell on top of her while her hands are on his arms but with her eyes closed tight. A tourist nearby took their picture. “Are you okay?” Rome asked. Rita open her eyes slowly and was staring up at Rome, “Are you okay?” he asked again. “Yes,” she says when she saw where and how they are position and quickly push him and got up. “I’m sorry but I took your picture, would you like a copied once I develop it?” ask the tourist. “No,” say Rita while Rome say “Yes,” then they both look at each other. “Yes, please send us a copy,” he say. “Do you have a paper with your address on it?” ask the tourist. “No,” say Rome and the tourist took out a piece of paper and a pen and hand it to Rome. Rome wrote down his address and hand it back to the tourist, “thank you for capturing the moment.” “You’re welcome,” he says before leaving. They return to the house and Nong Gino ended up sleeping on the bed. Rita went outside and looks out to the sea. “What are you thinking?” ask Rome standing next to her. “I am thinking about my family, it’s been a very long time since all of us came out here,” she say, “it’s so beautiful here when you have all the people you love here with you.” “What are you implying?” he asked. “Nothing,” she say and turn back to go inside but bump her knee on the couch outside, “Ouch.” Rome turn around, “are you okay?” he asked. “I’m fine,” say Rita slowly walking inside the house. Rome stood out there and sat on the chair on the balcony. When Rita got inside, Rome’s cell phone rang and Rita went over to pick it up. “Ae” showed up on the screen and she took it to Rome. “Rome,” say Rita at the door and when he turn to her, “your phone was ranging,” and hand him the phone. “Thanks,” he says then looks at the screen, “missed call from Ae.” He put his phone on the table and looks out into the distance where family are having fun in the water. Just then Rome’s cell rang again and he hesitated before answering, “Hello.” “Rome, where are you?” ask Ae. “I’m in Pattaya for work,” he says. “When are you returning home? He went over to her and removes her bangs from her face and smile before going downstairs. Somehow he fell asleep on the couch. In the middle of the night, Rita awoke and saw that Rome wasn’t sleeping in the room. She covers Nong Gino with the blanket before going downstairs. She turned on the light in the living room and saw him sleeping on the couch without a blanket and the dinner was on the table which wasn’t touched at all. She smiles then went over to put the dinner in the refrigerator before going upstairs to get a blanket for Rome. When she came down, she places the blanket over Rome and look at him for a moment before leaving but Rome grab onto her hand. Why aren’t you sleeping?” he asked. “I was but when I awoke you weren’t up there so I came to check if you’re down here and saw you sleeping here without the blanket. So I went to get you a blanket,” she says while Rome got into a sitting position. “Thanks,” he says letting, “would you mind staying here with me?” She hesitated before nodding and took a seat next to him. He grab her hand and held onto it. “What is the matter?” she asked. “I just want to sit here with you,” he says then look at her. Rita feels uncomfortable but was happy to be sitting this close to him. “Why am I feeling this way? When I’m near him my heart beats so fast, what is this feeling I’m feeling for him?” she thought to herself. Just then he cup her face in his hands and lean closer to her. She place her hands ontop of his while staring at him before turning her face. “Don’t,” he says and turn her back to face him. “You’re so beautiful,” he says then lean closer to her, “I want you for myself,” before kissing her. She closed her eyes and let him kiss her. Then he pushes her down on the couch and continued kissing her.
The next morning, Rita awoke and was lying in Rome’s arm. She looks under the blanket and closed her eyes. “What happened to me?” she thought to herself then feel Rome begin to move. “How are you this morning?” he asked and she shyly closed her eyes, “don’t feel shy, we already know there’s nothing to be shy about.” “How can you say that,” she says reaching for her clothes but he stopped her and begins to kiss her again. “Stop it, Rome, before Nong Gino sees us,” say Rita. “He’s going to see his daddy loving is mommy,” he teases. “Stop that, it’s not good for him to see that,” she says. “Alright,” he says getting up and handing her her clothes. “Thanks,” she says before going to the restroom. Rome got dressed and went upstairs to the bedroom. Nong Gino is still sleeping but the blanket is on the ground. He picked up the blanket and places it over Nong Gino then went downstairs. Rita is already out and is in the kitchen cooking breakfast. Rome went behind her and hug her, “smells good,” he says taking in her scent. “Is Nong Gino awake yet?” she asks. “No, he’s still sleeping, he must be really tired,” he says and with his right hand, placed over her’s holding the spatula and cooking together. Ja awoke and found herself in Tui’s arm and he was staring down at her. “P’Tui,” she says trying to get out of his hold. “Shhhh,” he says and closed his eyes, “If I go back would you go with me?” “I don’t know,” she says. “Why is that?” he asked. “Would you want me to go back?” she asked not looking at him. “I don’t know, it’s up to you if you want to go with me,” he says letting her go and got up to go into the restroom. “Then why asked?” she say after him but in a low voice. She sat up on bed then lay back to close her eyes until Tui gets out of the restroom to go use the restroom.
Aff was sitting down in the chair looking at Mark who sits across from her. Just then Toey came down with mom. When mom and Toey took a seat, Mark’s cell phone rang. He excuses himself to answer the phone. “Hello,” he says. “Mark,” say his father. “Yes, dad,” he says. “Your mother is at the hospital, we’re on our way to the airport when she fainted,” say his father. “I’m on my way,” he says and quickly hangs up then went inside. “What is the matter?” ask Tui coming down the stairs. “There’s an emergency and I have to go,” he says then turn to look at Toey when she looks at him. “What’s the emergency?” Tui asked. “My mom is hospital and I have to go asap,” Mark says. “Where?
